From the time the Pilgrims arrived on American soil, faith in God played an important part in shaping our nation. Images of Moses adorn the Supreme Court in recognition of the Judeo-Christian origin of our laws. But it was Taxes, loss of Liberty and oppression from a mad king that led our Founding Fathers to write The Declaration of Independence and start The American Revolution. Today, those who stand for these ideals no longer call themselves The Silent Majority because we are silent no more.
Last night in Nevada, Republican Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle showed her Democrat rival Harry Reid that she knows as much about doing housework as she does about cleaning up government. Sharron Angle mopped the floor with Harry Reid.
Nevada's largest newspaper, The Las Vegas Review Journal said, "Angle mops floor with Reid" at tonight's debate. "She hit hard on a variety of topics; showed she had the fire to be a U.S. Senator; demonstrated a command of the issues; and, of course, stayed gaffe free."
"Reid meanwhile looked tired. Sounded entitled. He mixed up the Department of Education with the Department of Energy. Couldn't find his notes for the close and generally fell back on talking points on far too many questions."
News concerning other Congressional races around the country are showing an uprising among voters threatens to turn into a tidal wave against Democrats. WorldNet Daily News reports today:
"A surprising internal poll is casting a spotlight on a previously ignored congressional race in Oregon that may foretell a November bloodbath for Democrats even worse than anyone has imagined. Two years ago, 12-term incumbent Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio cruised to victory in Oregon's 4th District with 82 percent of the vote"
"But a survey by Wilson Research Strategies for the conservative group Concerned Taxpayers of America has the Democrat up by only 6 points, 48 to 42, over Republican nominee Art Robinson."
With a trillion-dollar deficit caused by a frenzied spending record for the Democrat controlled Congress, rising unemployment and mortgage foreclosures exceeding 100,000 per month, the Democrats have been digging themselves into a deeper hole on a daily basis. The Tea Party message that voters are "Mad as hell and won't take it any more" is spreading like wildfire.
FOX News reports: "American voters would give the edge to Republicans over Democrats by a 9-percentage point margin if the Congressional election were held today, according to a Fox News poll. "
"It’s a gloomy electorate heading to the ballot-box this year. Three of four voters -- 75 percent -- are extremely or very worried about the future of the country, and 61 percent think life will be worse for their kids. Just 27 percent think life for the next generation of Americans will be better than life today."
The only sour not to this is word that some state Republican committees have refused to support insurgent Tea Party candidates like Christine O'Donnell who won their Republican primaries. Just like their RINO counterparts that have been elected to office, the state committees which control the bank accounts are often made up of the more liberal wing of the GOP.Speaking of RINOs, liberal Republicans who are Republican In Name Only such as Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, who lost her primary to conservative Republican Joe Miller who had Tea Party support, has received some significant financing for her write-in campaign.
Conservative Republicans came on strong to help turn the tide in the primary elections and pooled their hard earned savings from every corner of the nation to help finance this home-grown revolt cannot sit back and expect the momentum to coast to victory. This November is our last best hope to Take Back America.
