Did someone in the Army try to cover up evidence in Fort Hood, Texas?

Bare Naked Islam posted this story a few hours ago.

Why is the Army covering up video evidence of the Fort Hood MUSLIM MASS MURDERER?

FORT HOOD, Texas – A soldier who recorded the terror of last year’s deadly shooting rampage in Fort Hood using his cell phone was ordered by an officer to delete both videos, a military court heard Friday.
Then Bare Naked Islam posted the link to a story found on Yahoo News from the Associated Press. Way down toward the bottom of the AP story is this little paragraph offered without any further explanation:
Earlier Friday under cross examination, Pfc. Lance Aviles said he used his cell phone to record the rampage inside the processing center but was ordered by an officer to delete both videos later the same day. Aviles was not asked if he knew why the officer ordered the videos destroyed. It's unclear exactly what the footage showed, although it could have been used as evidence in the case.
And we always thought journalists had inquisitive minds. That little paragraph raises more questions than the Army would like to ever see. It is astounding to hear that any officer in the Army would order video evidence of a terrorist attack erased yet that is the testimony given at the Article 32 hearing by one of the witnesses. It is even more astounding that nothing more was said about it.
Several other soldiers who were in the room when the shooting began testified that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan yelled out the Islamic war chant, Allahu Akbar, "God is Great" in Arabic. Twenty-nine witnesses over three days have appeared either in a courtroom or by video link. Some of the witnesses who were shot by Major Hasan have recovered and since been deployed overseas. That single statement needs to be investigated and the identity of the officer who ordered the video erased must be made public.
