May the best man win. The story of the mouse who roared.

There is a moral to this story. The story is about Bill Johnson, a Kentucky businessman and a Navy veteran, who is running an underfunded, grass-roots campaign to win the Republican primary for U. S. Senator. I am only familiar with the issues in this case, three candidates calling themselves Republicans, trying to convince those registered Republicans in Kentucky that each represents best the values of this party. One of these candidates holds a state-wide office and has vast name recognition. That candidate used to be a Democrat who switched parties when Republican enrollment in Kentucky swelled.  The second candidate is a doctor who's father is a Texas Congressman. The second candidate has a campaign platform that is indistinguishable from the Libertarian Party. If you're unfamiliar with Libertarians just consider that they support legalizing drugs, the hard-line stuff like cocaine and heroin, for casual use.
We have had enough people in office and running for office pretending to be Republicans who don't even know what they're supposed to be. We have a name for them. We call them R.I.N.O.'s - Republicans in name only. Bill Johnson isn't one of them, he's real.
The third candidate is Bill Johnson, a man who has virtually financed his campaign out of his own pocket. Bill Johnson has the values of Ronald Reagan. He has traveled across the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the last year meeting the ordinary citizens he hopes will vote for him and he carries a message from his heart about his political beliefs. I have not met this man but from what I have read of his platform he seems to represent everything that I do. Let me tell you what a friend of mine has to say about him. Geketa Holman has met with Bill Johnson and spoken to him about every issue affecting the good citizens of our state. Since I know what Geketa stands for I am going to follow her lead and support the best candidate in this race. And then I am going to tell you a story about The Mouse That Roared.

Bill Johnson a David against Two Goliaths

We have our future in the hands of three men running for the U.S. Senate seat here in Kentucky.

One is Bill Johnson, he is a “Joe”, citizen just like you and me. He is a family man, business, Gulf war vet and a Reagan conservative Republican. He quit his full time job in the hopes of be able to make a difference, not for himself, but for Kentucky and America. He is funding his campaign with his own life’s savings and donations from those that support him. He is a David among the Two Goliaths. He is a solid conservative in that believes in the Reagan principles of Government. He understands the rights of the unborn child. He has served his county in the Navy aboard a nuclear guided missile cruiser and nuclear aircraft carrier.. Bill will to go anywhere any time and answer any questions on any issue and has not changed one single stand since he decided to run last summer. He is running a real Grassroots campaign. He has his supporters, none of which are wealthy, none of which have influence in high places. They are folks that understand what ethics and principles mean. They are the true Reagan conservatives. They do not bow down to the politically correct; they do not bend when the wind blows. They stand firm on their beliefs. They have drawn a line in the sand. They are Reagan conservative Kentuckians.

I support Bill Johnson!  http://www.kentuckybill.com  Please consider a donation while you are checking him out and join his Special Forces team. We need good Kentuckians who are conservatives to take back Kentucky and America.

And now the moral of this story.

Seemingly unaware of the beast towering over it, the mischievous rodent grabbed at scraps of meat thrown into the African Leopard's enclosure. But instead of pouncing on the the tiny intruder the 12-year-old leopard, called Sheena, appeared to be afraid of the daring mouse and kept her distance. At one stage she tried to nudge the mouse away with her nose, but the determined little chap carried on chewing away until he was full.

The extraordinary scene was captured by photography student Casey Gutteridge at the Santago Rare Leopard Project in Hertfordshire. The 19-year-old, from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, who was photographing the leopard for a course project, was astounded by the mouse's behaviour. He said: 'I have no idea where the mouse came from - he just appeared in the enclosure after the keeper had dropped in the meat for the leopard. 'He didn't take any notice of the leopard, just went straight over to the meat and started feeding himself. 'But the leopard was pretty surprised - she bent down and sniffed the mouse and flinched a bit like she was scared. 'In the meantime the mouse just carried on eating like nothing had happened.

......but even a gentle shove does not deter the little creature from getting his fill...

'It was amazing, even the keeper who had thrown the meat into the enclosure was shocked - he said he'd never seen anything like it before.'  Project owner Jackie James added: 'It was so funny to see - Sheena batted the mouse a couple of times to try to get it away from her food. 'But the determined little thing took no notice and just carried on.'  Sheena was brought in to the Santago Rare Leopard Project from a UK zoo when she was just four months old. She is one of 14 big cats in the private collection started by Jackie's late husband Peter in 1989.

The African Leopard can be found in the continent's forests, grasslands, savannas, and rainforests.

......so the mouse continued to eat the leopard's lunch and show the leopard who was boss !
Moral of the story, size doesn't matter. It's all about courage, character and commitment. The first two candidates I spoke about have tons of money but Bill Johnson has all of the courage, character and commitment. I am voting for Bill in the primary in May. I hope if you agree with me that you will too and may the best man win.

  1. I could not agree more with this article. Bill Johnson, without a doubt, is the only true Republican running for the Kentucky U.S. Senate in the May 18th primary. He is a man of moral principle, character and courage. I encourage anyone wishing to support him to go to www.KentuckyBill.com, the Campaign's web site then to www.Save2010.com and register to become one of "Bill's Special Forces. The people of Kentucky have a clear and a good choice in 2010 in voting for Bill Johnson on May 18th as their choice as Senator for the U.S. Senate.

  2. Great job my friend!! Bill will make an outstanding senator and statesman something we're lacking in today's government. Now, the earlier email makes sense :) You should write a book, your writing skills are amazing!

  3. Excellent analogy, my new friend. I also support Bill Johnson because not only does he believe in himself, but he also believes in me - the citizen.

  4. I met Bill Johnson a few weeks ago and was very impressed with his command of the issues. His answers to my questions were unequivocal and I was extremely pleased to know that he is in favor of reversing any health care bill coming out of Congress. This man speaks for me and I'll be supporting him for the U.S. Senate.

  5. What a wonderful and impressive endorsement. Uniquely relevant in all aspects. I checked the website for Bill Johnson and discovered an amazing individual. I think this is the very type person I want representing me. Anyone willing to bankroll his own money has to be taken seriously in my book. Thank you for the heads up on this individual.
