RINOs Compromise – Harry Wins & The Republic Falters

Update:  With the minority–crippling Filibuster "reform" vote securely headed to defeat on its own demerits, McConnell still could not resist playing "let's make a deal" and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. He agreed to limit the requirements for Senate approval of presidential appointees, in exchange for the hope of the change that Harry Reid will stop decorating the legislation amendment tree all by himself, and Republicans will get invited to Harry's party too.  If McConnell's feckless, "non–binding" concessions to Reid are actually ever enacted and enforced, this dirty, dumb and unnecessary deal leaves OBAMA FREE TO STACK THE COURTS WITH ACTIVIST JUDGES!

The first premise of strong negotiation is to always begin by asking for more than you expect to get, and are willing to accept.  Begin by demanding inclusion of an item that is absolutely unacceptable to the opposition, (in this case, the threat of the nuclear option on judicial appointments, not just routine and legislative business, probably served Reid well), and follow with a list of seemingly smaller requests – which are in fact your main objectives.  Let the opposition exhaust themselves fighting against the unacceptable option, then agree to "concede" that point.  This in turn prompts the opposition to "compromise" and grant your "smaller" requests — where you actually wanted to wind up.  The end result — the opposition thinks they won, but in fact conceded vital ground, while you walk away with everything you initially wanted.

My point in explaining this obvious negotiation tactic is to illustrate how Harry Reid in the Filibuster "reform" fight rolled Mitch McConnell and the Senate RINOs yet again.

TELL CONGRESS – NO COMPROMISE! SEND FAXES TO ALL 535 CONGRESSMEN

Reid demanded an illegal rule change apparently seeking to reduce the super–majority number to 51 rather than the historical 2/3s / 3/5s higher–threshold vote, compounded by demands for removal of the Secret Hold and finally, (barely noticed by McConnell and crew), "easing of the appointment process."  Reid conceded his high–target first demand, thereby preserving the super–majority on cloture votes and letting media touted "bi–partisan compromise" appear to "save" the Filibuster (Reid never had the votes, and probably never wanted the change, as shrewd Democrats know they will one day, maybe soon, be in the minority themselves).  Reid also promised on a "non–binding" handshake that he'll let Republicans add amendments to bills – provided McConnell agreed not to "abuse" this privilege too much.  In exchange, McConnell compromised and offered up Senate oversight of presidential appointments – drastically reducing the number of Obama appointees in the next two years that will require, and hence will receive, Senate oversight and approval.  This pitiful and irresponsible "deal" abdicating Senate authority  is being hailed as a Republican victory!

Reid knew he could never pull off a change in the super–majority.  1.  It's unlawful and 2. The pitchforks and torches would have arrived in Washington by the droves.  But McConnell played Reid's game and traded the one thing Reid and Obama really wanted and needed FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS to seal the deal on their Marxist take–over of America – the balance of powers.  By reducing the number of appointees that require Senate approval, Obama is free to load the Obama Administration and the courts with as many Leftist, Republic hating, legislate–from–the–bureaucracy–and–the–bench Marxists as he can squeeze in before 2012.  By stacking the judicial system, and dictatorially driving the Executive administration into every governing space he can force it to occupy, Obama will have successfully radicalized two of the three branches of government – eliminating our system of checks and balances and making Congress ineffectual and nearly irrelevant.  This my friends, is how a Republic dies.

While McConnell's RINOs are busy writing resolutions to seal their capitulation and cripple their critical presidential appointee oversight, Reid and his empty promises are heading straight to the new throne.  McConnell needs to be told in no uncertain terms that the American system of checks and balances MUST be preserved.  NO COMPROMISE!  NO APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT SENATE CONFIRMATION!

Multiculturalism in Canada: Muslims want children excused from music, mixed phys-ed classes.

This is the sort of thing that British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel were warning about. Multiculturalism has arrived in Canada: newly arrived Muslim immigrants have made demands to the Winnipeg school system that teaching music and mixed-gender physical education classes are forbidden in their Islamic religious culture. The core values of our democracy is freedom of choice and majority rule but the Muslims who want to use the free public education system don't understand that. Nothing prevents them from sending their children to private schools except that it isn't free. And secular laws, which are condemned in the Qur'an, based on majority rule mean nothing to them. WINNIPEG — A dozen Muslim families who recently arrived in Canada have told Winnipeg's Louis Riel School Division that they want their children excused from compulsory elementary school music and coed physical education programs for religious and cultural reasons.

"This is one of our realities in Manitoba now, as a result of immigration," said superintendent Terry Borys. "We were faced with some families who were really adamant about this. Music was not part of the cultural reality."

Borys said the school division has alerted Education Minister Nancy Allan about the situation since music and phys-ed are compulsory in the province's elementary schools.

As usual, the informative web site Jihad Watch had the relevant background information behind these latest Muslim objections. 

It's not just "not part of the cultural reality." The hostility to music and musical instruments within Islam is rooted in the fact that, according to authoritative Islamic sources, Muhammad detested music as intensely as he hated crucifixes: "Allah Mighty and Majestic sent me as a guidance and mercy to believers and commanded me to do away with musical instruments, flutes, strings, crucifixes, and the affair of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance."

And "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of whoever sits listening to a songstress."

You only had to worry about the bogeyman under the bed when you were a kid. How about the creator of the universe waiting to pour molten lead in your ears?

It may seem paradoxical that while so many Muslims choose to adhere to the strictest fundamental concepts of Islamic teachings about modesty, the wearing of hijabs (head scarves) and burqas (full body covering), and condemn music, mixed-gender physical education and swimming pools, none-the-less, they see nothing wrong with sleazy bathing beauty contests if it suits their goals. The current Miss USA, Rima Fakih, is a Muslim who was born in Lebanon and lives in the Muslim community of Dearborn, Michigan. And, Oh yeah, who just happens to be a relative of one of the leaders of the Hezbollah terrorist group. Makes for great public relations.

This problem is not new to Canadians. It was reported last November and I wrote about it.

The following story comes from the Canadian newspaper, the National Post, that illustrates what changes may be felt on this side of the Atlantic.

Islamist groups seek ‘parallel society’ in Canada: report

TORONTO — A newly released intelligence report says hardline Islamist groups want to build a “parallel society” in Canada, which could undermine the country’s social cohesion and foster violence.

The de-classified Intelligence Assessment obtained by the National Post says extremists have been encouraging Muslims in the West to reject Western society and to live in “self-imposed isolation.” The report focuses on groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb-ut-Tahrir, which do not advocate terrorist violence but promote an ideology at odds with core Western values.

“Even if the use of violence is not outwardly expressed, the creation of isolated communities can spawn groups that are exclusivist and potentially open to messages in which violence is advocated,” it says. “At a minimum, the existence of such mini-societies undermines resilience and the fostering of a cohesive Canadian nation.”

The report was written by the Integrated Threat Assessment Centre, which monitors threats to Canada’s national security and is composed of representatives of CSIS, the RCMP, Foreign Affairs, National Defence and other agencies.

It was circulated internally last year after Hizb-ut-Tahrir invited Muslims to a conference in Mississauga, Ont., to discuss the establishment of an Islamic caliphate. A copy of the document was recently released under the Access to Information Act.

“While the issue of violence by Islamist groups has continued to be a counter-terrorism priority for Western governments and particularly security services for many years, Islamist social ideology appears to have gone unstudied, precisely because the use of violence is either unsupported or understated,” it says. “Nevertheless, several Islamist movements advocate a rejection of Western society and mores, and encourage self-imposed isolation of Muslims in the West.”

It says Islamists believe that Islam should govern all aspects of society and that Sharia law and state law should be “synchronized.” Extremists forced to flee Muslim-majority countries such as Egypt now preach these beliefs in the West, it says, adding, “By definition, their world views clash with secular ones. A competition for the hearts and minds of the diaspora Muslims has hence begun.”

“Some Islamists advocate isolationism and the establishment of a parallel society,” it says. “Isolationism can lead to conditions where extreme messages can incubate and eventually become the catalyst for violence. At a minimum, isolationism undermines a multicultural and democratic society.”

The report notes that Mennonites and Doukhobors have also sought to isolate themselves form the mainstream. “Why then, should Canadians be worried about Islamist extremists who reject democracy or isolate themselves from non-Muslims?” it asks.

But activist Tarek Fatah said there is a difference. “You can talk about the Mennonites but the Mennonites’ aim in life is not to destroy Western civilization, it is seclusion.”

The fact is that politically correct attitudes such as multiculturalism don't work because they simply contradict the meaning of a democracy. In our politically correct country, when a single individual such as an atheist can object to a Nativity Display and have it removed - the will of the majority in a community is denied. There is no difference if that individual was a Muslim and objected to their children being exposed to music in school, even though the music taught in school is a world apart from the popular heavy metal rock, hip-hop, rap garbage that passes for music today.

Now British Prime Minister David Cameron echoes Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel: Muslims must integrate into society.

Apparently, enough is enough when it comes to the endless flood of Muslim immigrants that have swelled into Great Britain and have now begun to demand an end to the British government and replacing civil law with Islamic Sharia Law. The politically correct term is "multiculturalism" but the only thing it has produced is a number of concentrated Muslim communities that have isolated themselves from mainstream British life and have succeeded in their demands to implement self rule with their own system of religious based laws and Islamic schools and have become a breeding ground for home-grown terrorists.

The same problem is spreading across every country in Europe where Muslim immigrants along with high birth rates in Muslim households have given Muslims as much as 5-10% of their host countries population.

Reuters News Service reported last month on the growing Muslim problem in Germany where the head of the government, Chancellor Angela Merkel, has been pressured into making comments on it.

German Muslims must obey law, not sharia: Merkel

Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday Muslims must obey the constitution and not sharia law if they want to live in Germany, which is debating the integration of its 4 million-strong Muslim population.

In the furor following a German central banker's blunt comments about Muslims failing to integrate, moderate leaders including President Christian Wulff have urged Germans to accept that "Islam also belongs in Germany."

The debate comes against a backdrop of U.S. and British concerns over the threat of terrorist attacks by militant Islamists living in Germany, with Berlin toning down such fears.

"Now we obviously also have Muslims in Germany. But it's important in regard to Islam that the values represented by Islam must correspond with our constitution," said Merkel.

"What applies here is the constitution, not sharia."

Merkel said Germany needed imams "educated in Germany and who have their social roots here" and concluded: "Our culture is based on Christian and Jewish values and has been for hundreds of years, not to say thousands."

In a story on the UK Telegraph web site By James Kirkup, Political Correspondent on 05 Feb 2011, British Prime Minister David Cameron joins Chancellor Merkel in demanding all Muslims to integrate into their respective country's societies.

British Muslims must subscribe to mainstream values of freedom and equality, David Cameron declared that the doctrine of multiculturalism has “failed” and will be abandoned.

Entering the debate on national identity and religious tolerance, the Prime Minister declared an end to “passive tolerance” of divided communities, and say that members of all faiths must integrate into wider society and accept core values. 

To be British is to believe in freedom of speech and religion, democracy and equal rights regardless of race, sex or sexuality, he will say. Proclaiming a doctrine of “muscular liberalism”, he said that everyone, from ministers to ordinary voters, should actively confront those who hold extremist views. 

He warned that groups that fail to promote British values will no longer receive public money or be able to engage with the state. 

His speech, to an international security conference in Munich, comes after The Daily Telegraph disclosed the extent to which the British intelligence community fears the “unique threat” of terrorist attacks by radicalised British Muslims.

That means abandoning the notion that different communities should be able to live according to their own values and traditions as long as they stay within the law. “Under the doctrine of state multiculturalism, we have encouraged different cultures to live separate lives, apart from each other and the mainstream,” Mr Cameron said. “We have failed to provide a vision of society to which they feel they want to belong

The Prime Minister accepted that multiculturalism has left some members of the white community feeling unfairly treated. Racism and intolerance are “rightly” condemned, he said. “But when equally unacceptable views or practices have come from someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious, frankly too fearful, to stand up to them.” 

The speech comes after Baroness Warsi, the Conservative Party chairman, caused controversy by claiming that prejudice against Muslims was widespread and socially acceptable. 

Mr Cameron will drew a clear distinction between “Islamist extremism” as a political ideology, and the Islamic faith itself. “We need to be clear: Islamic extremism and Islam are not the same thing,” he said. 

The Government is reviewing its entire strategy for counter-terrorism and community cohesion amid concern that the state is working too closely with Muslim groups that do not fully endorse liberal values. Mr Cameron said that community groups will be scrutinised in future to see if they promote democracy, equality and integration. Those that fail the “tests” will be cut off. “No public money, no sharing of platforms with ministers,” he said..

And the problem isn't isolated to Europe, either. Barack Hussein Obama has approved of another influx of Muslim immigrants from Somalia totaling some 90,000 in addition to the high numbers already here. While the overall Muslim population in America is still below 2%, there are high concentrations of predominantly Muslim cities in Dearborn, Michigan, Passaic, New Jersey, and others in Minnesota and Tennessee. An in all of these cities Muslims are demanding changes and accommodations in local civil law.

Why are American journalists being attacked in Egypt.

Fox News, CNN and ABC News seldom share the same point of view on political and social issues but in Egypt, in the midst of the revolt for freedom, reporters and cameramen from these American news media have all been attacked by angry mobs, some who were dressed in police uniforms. Greg Palkot, a journalist for Fox News wrote that after being taken to a hospital after a violent encounter with a mob he was “held blindfolded at the Ministry of Military Security, marched lock-step to a location, then videotaped and photographed as if in a line-up.” Anderson cooper, a CNN reporter was beaten on two occasions and ABC News' Brian Hartman and his crew was kidnapped and threatened with beheading.

In this modern age of instant communication, Facebook and Twitter, texting and cell phones, the average person on the street in any city in the world has a better grasp of what is going on than ever before. Thus the first action by some dictators is to attempt to shut down the Internet. That, alone, should be a warning to Americans because Barack Hussein Obama wants the authority to do the same thing here. And the oppressed people in Egypt know the part being played by the American news media in distorting the facts. That is why they have labeled all American journalists as part of the enemy working against their interests.

Many American journalists have contributed to the heroic nature of revolutions. The difference between what is happening in Egypt today and what happened in the hills outside of Havana, Cuba in the late 1950's when Fidel Castro was being called "The Robin Hood of the Sierra Maestra mountains" is that people are less fooled by the intentions of the news media because of better communications.
 
It seems that the only Arab nation friends that America has are those run by small groups of dictators who need our help to stay in power. Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt are the most prominent examples. Smart people realize that your true friends are those you don't have to buy but our government fails to see the wisdom and we continue to prop up and support dictators around the world who sell their friendship to the highest bidder. In exchange for their pretended alliance we turn a blind eye to how they treat their own people thus creating a situation that is ripe for revolution. We lost Iran that way and this is what we have going on now in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is no different from any subversive group that foments revolution among the oppressed to take over a government. The Communists did the same thing years ago. The anti-American leftist news media plays an important supporting role by distorting the news in order to keep Americans uninformed so we won't complain to our elected officials. Interestingly enough, the Egyptian people staging the protest for freedom may be aware of the part the American news media plays. This may account for the recent attacks on American news media personnel in Egypt. In the end we lose and radical Islam expands its influence.

The arrogance of petty dictators is the same everywhere.

Take a few lessons in Ornithology, the study of birds and you will see how well they apply to people: “Birds of a feather flock together.”and  “If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.”  Richard Cunningham Patterson Jr., United States ambassador to Guatemala during the Cold War in 1950, used a similar phrase when he accused the Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán government of being Communist. Patterson explained his reasoning as follows:

   "Suppose you see a bird walking around in a farm yard. This bird has no label that says 'duck'. But the bird certainly looks like a duck. Also, he goes to the pond and you notice that he swims like a duck. Then he opens his beak and quacks like a duck. Well, by this time you have probably reached the conclusion that the bird is a duck, whether he's wearing a label or not."

Apply the lessons we have learned. All dictators strut around with an air of self-importance. All dictators refer to themselves as if they are deities. All dictators are narcissists. All dictators consider themselves to be above the law. All dictators view their National Treasury as if it were their personal bank accounts. Barack Hussein Obama is all of the above.

Item: Federal Judge Roger Vinson ruled that the entire ObamaCare law must be thrown out and IMPLEMENTATION HALTED IMMEDIATELY because the mandate requiring Americans to buy health insurance is unconstitutional and unseverable from the rest of the legislation. THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SAYS THEY WILL NOT COMPLY and will continue to implement ObamaCare REGARDLESS of the Federal courts! A senior Administration official told the Wall Street Journal that the entire plan is still fully operational, nothing has or will stop, and the Department of Health and Human Services will continue to carry out the full ObamaCare plan.

Item: In spite of the U.S. Supreme Court recently reaffirming the Second Amendment of the U. S. Constitution that gives citizens the right to own guns and the right to self-defense, a White House senior adviser said that President Obama is "going to address gun control" - soon. The Obama Administration hasn't revealed where or when this speech will happen. It will most likely occur when we're least expecting it. As the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) says:

Interestingly enough, Obama didn't mention guns even once in his State of the Union address. That's because he's saving his anti-gun agenda for a new speech. After the Tucson tragedy, the Liberals have issued a slew of anti-gun legislation.

Obama's adviser David Plouffe revealed to NBC that Obama will be addressing the need for changes in gun laws after the AZ shooting. Plouffe said, "It's a very important issue, and one I know there's going to be debate about on the Hill." The Liberals certainly aren't going to let this crisis go to waste. 

Liberal Anti-Second Amendment Legislation

• Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) said he will be cosponsoring legislation that would ban the possession or sale of high-capacity magazines, and close the gun show loophole.

•  Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) proposed a bill to set the maximum size of a gun's magazine to 10 rounds.

•  Rep. Peter King (R-NY) said it should be illegal to carry a firearm within 1,000 feet of a high-ranking government official.

•  Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) is pushing to get more intrusive background checks on gun purchasers and the denial of guns to people on the elusive terror watch list.

As you can see, the Liberals have a lot of anti-Constitutional legislation cooking. Obama will likely use his upcoming speech to attack the right to keep and bear arms and garner support for Progressive gun-ban voters. Obama will continue to attack your Second Amendment Rights between now and the 2012 election as a way to shore up support from his liberal anti-gun voter base.

Item: Even the faithful minions of petty dictators aspire to follow in the vaunted footsteps of their anointed leaders. It must be either the “Birds of a Feather” rule or that narcissism is an infectious disease. Bare Naked Islam  reports that Mike Riggs of The Daily Caller writes today:

“During an exclusive dinner hosted Monday by the Alfalfa Club, Obama adviser Valerie Jarret was seated at the head table along with several other big-name politicians and a handful of high-ranking military officials. As an officer sporting several stars walked past Jarrett, she signaled for his attention and said, “Garcon, I’d like another glass of wine.”

White House economic adviser Austan Goolsbee, who was seated next to Jarret, began “cracking up nervously,” our tipster said, but no one pointed out to Jarrett that the man sporting a chestful of medals was not her waiter.

“The guy dutifully went up and got her a glass of wine, and then came back and gave it to her and took a seat at the table,” our tipster said. “Everyone is in tuxedos and gowns at this thing, but the military people are in full dress uniform. (He should have poured it on her head) My sentiments exactly.

“There was no shortage of waiters either,” the tipster added.”

And on a lighter side, the final item about the extravagances the Obama's go to that make it seem the Treasury is their personal piggy bank. This came to me via an email this morning, just in time for Super Bowl Sunday. But first, for an apt comparison you may recall that Barack Hussein Obama took his wife Michelle on a well publicized date to New York City in May 2009. Read this detailed description of their trip and then read the joke that follows it. Here is how the web site Politico reported it:

Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest read a statement from Obama: "I am taking my wife to New York City because I promised her during the campaign that I would take her to a Broadway show after it was all finished."

Every Red Blooded American should jump in line to support the Green Bay Packers! The Packers defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon thus earning them the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. By doing so, they saved the Hard-Working, Red Blooded, Taxpaying Americans literally several hundred thousand dollars of tax money.

How you say? Simple.. we were told that if the Chicago Bears had won that President Obama (and probably his family) would be attending the Super Bowl to cheer on his hometown team.

Since the Bears lost...the President won't be attending. The money saved from not using Air Force One, the limousines, all the additional security, and let's not forget  Michelle Obama's entourage, is literally at least a million dollars!  Therefore every American should cheer on the Green Bay Packers at the Super Bowl to show them our gratitude.

Maybe you also forgot about Michelle Obama's lavish vacation trip to Spain last year with 40 of her "closest friends". CBS News web site headlined the story on August 5, 2010:

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller reports the C-32A (757) the First Lady used to fly to Spain - one of the planes that usually serves as Air Force Two, and sometimes Air Force One - operates at a Department of Defense reimbursement rate of $11,351 per hour.

So a 6.5 hour flight to Spain would run $73,781.50 - double for the round trip.

The NY Daily News ran the story written by Andrea Tantaros on the same day about the trip with added details on the number of people who accompanied Michelle Obama and the costs involved. 

"But while most of the country is pinching pennies and downsizing  summer sojourns - or forgoing them altogether - the Obamas don't seem to be heeding their own advice. While many of us are struggling, the First Lady is spending the next few days in a five-star hotel on the chic Costa del Sol in southern Spain with 40 of her "closest friends." According to CNN, the group is expected to occupy 60 to 70 rooms, more than a third of the lodgings at the 160-room resort. Not exactly what one would call cutting back in troubled times."

"Reports are calling the lodgings of  Obama's Spanish fiesta, the Hotel Villa Padierna in Marbella, "luxurious," "posh" and "a millionaires' playground." Estimated room rate per night? Up to a staggering $2,500. Method of transportation? Air Force Two."

Ah, Yes, the arrogance of it all. Perhaps we do owe the Green Bay Packers a debt of gratitude for beating the Chicago Bears.

   

Will Egypt become another Islamic Republic like Iran?

While the Islamification of Europe is being accomplished through immigration and high birth numbers, in the somewhat moderate countries in the Middle East it is being won by revolution and terrorism. Then the circle will be complete and the last remaining American ally, Israel, will be standing alone surrounded by nations whose bloody hands hold the power of nuclear weapons, Islamic nations salivating over the final demise of their sworn enemy. A Canadian patriot explains American-Middle East failed relations.

Howard Galganov is a journalist from Canada who has an eye for history and a very good memory. In a commentary posted today on his web site Galganov.com titled “Carter – The Shah . . . Obama – Mubarak” Mr. Galganov reminds us of the cast of characters that have all helped shape the results of Islamic extremism that began with America’s first Leftist president Jimmy Carter. Carter was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts at peace in the Middle East that led up to the exile of a staunch American ally The Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, the only Muslim friend America ever had.

The fact that Jimmy Carter tacitly allowed the return of the Ayatollah Khomeini to rule Iran resulted in the entire staff of 52 US citizens working at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran to be taken hostage on November 4, 1979 and held captive for 444 days by Islamic militants.

Jumping forward to present day, Galganov draws an apt comparison with another Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Barack Hussein Obama, who embarked on a trip to Egypt six months after capturing the White House. Speaking at Cairo University on June 4, 2009, Obama quoted the Qur’an in perfect Arabic and heaped unjustified praise on Muslim contributions throughout history. Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, fills in a little unknown detail about that speech by revealing: 

“Mohammed Habib, the deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's largest opposition group, dismissed Obama's trip and said it would be "useless unless it is preceded by real change in the policies of the U.S. administration toward the Arab and Islamic world." Nevertheless, Obama's administration insisted that at least 10 members of the Muslim Brotherhood be allowed to attend the Cairo speech.”

Quoting Galganov, he writes: 

“Six months into his Presidency, Obama embarked upon his pro Moslem Tour, telling the world how wonderful Islam is, and how many incredible gifts Islam has given to mankind. He also told the world how fortunate America is for having their Moslem community that has made so many contributions to the American condition.

Two years into his Presidency . . . just like Carter, Obama has the same dilemma Carter had, as the people of Egypt demand a complete change in leadership - NOW!”

And the dilemma we are seeing unfold before our eyes on the nightly news is the revolution taking place in Egypt, another staunch American ally in the Middle East, and into the mix is one more Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Mohammed El Baradei. And once again Howard Galganov has his fingers on all the hot keys as he mentions that Baradei was best known when he was: 

“the head of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), the UN agency entrusted to regulate and report on the International use of nuclear energy.

But we know him best, because MOSTLY he was charged with inspecting the nuclear capabilities of countries such as North Korea and Iran.

El Baradei determined that North Korea’s nuclear program, as well as Iran’s program, were of little threat.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer shows how ignorant he is about our government.

Not to be outdone by Barack Hussein Obama's ignorance over our country's National Motto, which is "In God We Trust" and NOT 'E Pluribus Unum", as he told an audience in Indonesia, NY Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer went on yesterday's State of the Union program on CNN and stated:

"So I would urge my Republican colleagues, no matter how strongly they feel, you know we have three branches of government, we have a House, we have a Senate, we have a President and all three of us are going to have to come together and give some."

If you happen to have learned anything about the way our Constitution lays out the organization of the Federal government you will know that the three branches of our government are the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branch and the Judiciary Branch. The Legislative Branch consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Executive Branch is the President and the Judiciary is the Federal Court system and the Supreme Court. Of course if you learned about our government in college you might be thinking it was designed to formulate a socialist collective which accounts why so many college graduates become Democrats. Maybe that's why so many New Yorkers voted for this dumb-ass Liberal.

 

Man with firecrackers threatens to blow up mosque.

 

GantDaily.com, a Clearfield, Pennsylvania newspaper web site, carried an informative story about a mentally disturbed Vietnam-war veteran, who suffered from the wartime illness called PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) who was arrested in Dearborn, Michigan after he made threats to blow up a mosque. His weapon of choice was a large quantity of M-80 firecrackers, something much less dangerous than the car bomb found in Times Square, New York that was constructed by a radical Muslim terrorist.

Dearborn, MI, United States (NewsBahn) – A 63-year-old Vietnam veteran has been charged with threatening to blow up one of America’s largest mosques.

Roger Stockham, of Imperial Beach, CA, was arrested Jan. 24 in the parking lot of the Islamic Center of America. Police found a large quantify of class-C fireworks, including M-80s, in the trunk of his car.

Much to the credit of other mainstream news media, many other stories have correctly identified the contents of Roger Stockham's car as being class-C fireworks which are the favorite but none-the-less illegal 4th of July noise-maker. The classification of class-C fireworks is the outdated category used by the US Dept. of Transportation to describe "common fireworks" available for sale to and use by the general public. The most dangerous consequence for the misuse of M-80s, as shown in this photo from Wikipedia, is premature explosion in the hand of the user causing loss of fingers. Traditionally, M-80s were made from a small red cardboard tube approximately 1½ inches long and 9/16–5/8 inches in diameter, with a Visco fuse coming out of the side, holding approximately 2½–3 grams of pyrotechnic flash powder.

Pretty soon the salient facts of this case will begin to disappear and the only thing we will hear about is another domestic terrorist venting rage against a peaceful religion because of hatred stirred up by racists. Another web site, Gates of Vienna commented on this incident by saying:

So the man is a Vietnam combat vet with PTSD. Normally the MSM would be greatly sympathetic towards the poor fellow. The narrative would describe him as “troubled”, and reporters would examine the negligence of the Veterans’ Administration in allowing one of its charges to deteriorate to this level.

However, to his great misfortune, Roger Stockham messed with the most untouchable special interest group in America: Muslims. This puts him beyond the pale.

Forget “troubled” — enter the “deranged loner”. In the cloud around this news story, expect these additional keywords: militias, Tea Parties, right-wing extremists, Second Amendment, and Sarah Palin.

Wait and see. Tomorrow, when the news bureaus are fully staffed, and all the Homeland Security apparatchiks are behind their desks again, the full-court press will begin.

Gate of Vienna reported that according to the local Dearborn, Michigan newspaper  Press and Guide:

The story was first reported by The Press & Guide Saturday night. Though the incident happened almost a week ago, information wasn’t made public until Saturday when the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Michigan issued a press statement on the incident.

“We thank law enforcement authorities for their quick and professional actions in this troubling incident,” said Dawud Walid, executive director of CAIR’s Michigan chapter. “The increased number of bias incidents targeting American Muslim institutions must be addressed by local, state and national authorities.”

Yeah, wait until the big name commentators start covering this story on the Monday night news.
