Is the leftist news media trying to set up a trap? What's the hidden agenda behind their glowing praise for Republican Sen. Marco Rubio?

There is no doubt that Republican Senator Marco Rubio is a genuine conservative. We know this because the mainstream liberal news media has been constantly writing about how attractive he is to the conservative wing of the Republican Party.  Every story has been brimming with glowing praise for this conservative Senator from Florida and they all seem to be suggesting that Marco Rubio is going to be picked as Mitt Romney's vice-presidential running mate. The media publicity could well be a suggestive plot to start convincing Republicans that Marco Rubio is the best choice. That was the same treatment that RINO Republican John McCain received in 2008. The pro-Obama pro-Democrat MSM resurrected McCain's failing campaign and helped him win the Republican nomination because he was the weakest candidate. Then they tore him apart after he was nominated.
But there is a sinister undercurrent to these stories today about Marco Rubio that none of the news media, not even the conservative media, has mentioned. Only WorldNet Daily News has brought out the fact that Marco Rubio is constitutional unqualified to be vice-president because he is not a Natural Born Citizen and therefore is not eligible to take the office of president if anything happened to Mitt Romney, if he were elected. This is because both of Marco Rubio's parents were born in Cuba and the definition of a Natural Born Citizen means a person who has both parents born in the United States. This same argument is being made in courts across the land today about Barack Hussein Obama also not being eligible to be president because his father was a British subject who was born in Kenya and had never even applied for U.S. citizenship.
The reason why the news media is pushing Marco Rubio is to create an issue that would cause a large number of Republicans to stay home on Election Day. If Rubio were to get on the ticket then the fact that he was not a Natural Born Citizen would be the #1 news story broadcast and publicized across America in every pro-Democrat newspaper and television station every day until November. In plain language it's called a setup.

  1. Nelson,
I don't doubt your premise for one second.

One correction: Both of Rubio's parents needed to be citizens at the time of his birth.

It will be interesting to see how the lamestream will be able to create an issue out of this when Obama is clearly not eligible either.

    1. Hardnox, It is sort of the reverse of the argument, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." Consider those polls that say a large percentage of Republicans do not believe Obama is a Natural Born Citizen. Well, if it isn't good for Obama then it isn't good for Rubio, either. The result would be very demoralizing, to say the least. The liberals will have a field day with the mockery and ridicule.

    2. Nelson,
That I don't doubt. That will be the only strategy that they will have. They can't run zero on his miserable record.

Irrespective, I do not believe that Republicans will sit this one out. They did last time with McCain. They won't make the same mistake again.

The whole issue of eligibility is beyond absurd. Absurd that it is not adhered to as accorded by the Constitution. Why zero was elected remains the greatest fraud in American history.
