The most compelling argument against moderate Muslims.

The following was written in March 2007 and while four years is not a lifetime there has been so much happening in the world since then that makes it current. I just read it for the first time and find it a most compelling argument. I am sure there are truly peace-loving Muslims but as the author says, their silence against the spread of fanatical Muslims makes them irrelevant.
Why the Peaceful Majority is Irrelevant
by Paul E. Marek

Follow Israel opinion on Twitter and Facebook .

History lessons are often incredibly simple.

I used to know a man whose family were German aristocracy prior to World War II. They owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked him how many German people were true Nazis, and the answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude toward fanaticism ever since.

“Very few people were true Nazis,” he said, “but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.”

We are told again and again by experts and talking heads that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unquantified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars world wide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or execute honor killings. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard, quantifiable fact is that the “peaceful majority” is the “silent majority,” and it is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a war-mongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across Southeast Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians - most killed by sword, shovel and bayonet. And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery? Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were “peace loving”?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt; yet, for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points. Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by the fanatics. Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because, like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Bosnians, Afghanis, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians and many others, have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us, watching it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts: the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Was the Oklahoma City bombing also an Islamic terrorist attack?

In recounting the dozens of terrorist attacks and planned attacks that have occurred on American soil in the last 25-years I have often said that they were "virtually all committed by radical Muslims". I have always conditioned my statements because the single attack on the Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995 was blamed on a non-Muslim, Timothy McVeigh, who was tried, convicted and executed for killing 168 people. Evidence had been revealed in bits and pieces over the years that the FBI was aware of a third individual who may have been involved along with Timothy McVeigh, a Muslim named Hussain Al-Hussaini who was never arrested. Hussain Al-Hussaini most likely was either part of Saddam Hussein's elite Special Troops Division of the Iraqi Military Intelligence or the Adnan Division of the Republican Guard.

As Pamela Geller said on Atlas Shrugs on December 10, 2009 in her article:

Clinton's Cover-up: 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, an al-Qaeda plot involving several Iraqis

Lots of pieces fall into place with Julia Gorin's latest. She is a national treasure and is singular in her pursuit of exposing the truth of Bosnia, Kosovo, Herzegovina, where we fought Christians and paved the way for an Islamic state in the heart of Europe.
What Carter did for Muslims in Iran, Clinton did for Muslims in Europe.
BOSNIAN SOLDIER PENNED OKLAHOMA CITY-STYLE BOMB INSTRUCTIONS FOR AFGHANIS
In a monumental cover-up that only begins to approximate the colossal, decentralized conspiracy that brought you an Islamic Bosnia and a KKKLA Kosovo and revived Hitler’s Independent State of Croatia, our “security” and “intelligence” agencies, along with all of Congress, have been keeping from you the obvious fact that the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing was an al-Qaeda plot involving several Iraqis. It was because of the Clinton-directed cover-up of Oklahoma City that the Bush administration couldn’t tell you the real Iraq-9/11 connection, and why during the pre-Iraq hearings all that Dick Cheney could manage was: “There’s a connection. There’s a connection.”
Oklahoma-based investigative reporter Jayna Davis was all over national media in 2002 about this, but then disappeared from the airwaves when no one was interested in pursuing her story to its logical conclusion: that our law enforcement agencies are just as capable of doing the opposite of protecting us.
The night before the start of Tim McVeigh’s trial in 1997, she tendered her resignation at her ABC-affiliate station KFOR-TV that had recently been bought by the NY Times, which had no intention of publicizing a Middle East connection to the bombing. Only Bill Clinton’s Rush Limbaugh connection.
Not only were Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols front men for an extensive Middle Eastern operation that included mostly Iraqis but also Palestinians and others, but on pages 270-71 of her 2004 book The Third Terrorist, Davis reports what American troops found when they arrived in Afghanistan in October 2001:
Validation arrived in October 2001 when President Bush deployed U.S. troops to eradicate the fanatical ruling Taliban in Afghanistan. Strewn across the basement floor of a Kabul mansion which once housed a hideout and makeshift headquarters for bin Laden loyalists was a do-it-yourself guidebook to construct an “Oklahoma-style” bomb. A Bosnian soldier in the Al-Qaeda army of terrorists had penned the step-by-step instructions and components needed to replicate the Murrah Building explosive device.
What a shocking discovery that Timothy McVeigh’s legendary bomb-making skills were referenced halfway around the world, being emulated as an effective technique in the terrorists’ toolbox! Imagine the incredulity on the faces of bin Laden’s devotees upon hearing they would implement a bomb formula which McVeigh perfected through exhaustive research from a book checked out at a Kingman, Arizona, public library. In the sage words of Stephen Jones that McVeigh “couldn’t blow up a rock,” the Afghanistan find transformed the Justice Department’s “lone bomber” theory into a work of science fiction.
On June 11, 2001 — the two-year anniversary of the official “end” of our latest war against Serbs as we fortified “their” enemies — Timothy McVeigh was executed. That night, America closed its eyes and soundly went to sleep. We woke up exactly three months later.
The unanimous glee over McVeigh’s execution had to do not only with the “whiteness” of the terrorist, but also with the fact that he would take his secrets with him — and even the mainstream news accounts at the time revealed that there was much he wasn’t revealing. The public and our law enforcement were happy to not look any deeper, affording ourselves some denial and the illusion of safety. But the attack to take place three months later would lead investigators right back to Bosnia, where five of the 9/11 hijackers trained, fought, or had citizenship — and to Albania and Kosovo.
Go here. Read the whole thing.
Now a web site in Australia called Winds of Jihad has tied together all of the fragmented sources and published a piece with a more complete picture of what took place in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.
McVeigh & The Missing Link

What a price that would be: The Third Man
Author of book on OKC bombing says Muslim arrested in Massachusetts was with Tim McVeigh before the attack

“His age, his name, the picture, the mug shot, that’s him.”
And Pamela Geller has this: “Documents obtained by The Associated Press show that our government was warned that Islamic terrorists were planning attacks on American federal buildings around the time of the Oklahoma City bombing. The Clinton administration even stepped up security around such buildings.”
What will Islamic supremacist whiners like Keith Ellison do if their favorite non-Muslim terrorist, Tim McVeigh, turns out to have working in league with Islamic jihadists? Ignore it and keep lying, I would expect.
“Author links man arrested in Quincy to the subject of her book on Oklahoma City bombing,” from The Patriot Ledger, March 10 via JW:
QUINCY — The author of a book on the Oklahoma City bombing says a homeless man arrested in Quincy on Wednesday is the same man identified by several witnesses to the bombing as having been with Timothy McVeigh before the deadly attack. But an FBI spokesman, Greg Comcowich, said a man named Hussain Al-Hussaini was “thoroughly investigated” and “found to not have any role whatsoever in the attack on the Murrah Federal Building in 1995.”
Comcowich did confirm that a man named Hussain Al-Hussaini had been seen with McVeigh prior to the bombing.
Quincy Police on Thursday spoke with the author and notified the FBI of the arrest of Al-Hussaini for slashing a man’s face with a beer bottle.
Capt. John Dougan said the man arrested in Quincy on Wednesday has the same name as a man featured prominently in the 2004 book “The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing.”
Both Dougan and the author of the Oklahoma City book said the man arrested in Quincy also has a tattoo on his arm that matches the description of one on the arm of the man in the book.
“His age, his name, the picture, the mug shot, that’s him,” the author of “The Third Terrorist,” Jayna Davis, told The Patriot Ledger in a telephone interview.
Davis said she saw the Al-Hussaini she wrote about during depositions for a libel suit he brought against her.
Davis said the Al-Hussaini she wrote about is a former Iraqi solider who was seen with McVeigh in the weeks before Oklahoma City and on April 19, 1995, the day of the bombing, which killed 168 people.
McVeigh was executed for his role in the bombing. The Al-Hussaini seen with him was never charged.
The Al-Hussaini arrested by the Quincy police is 45 years old and is being held on $500 bail on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is also being held for a probation violation….
Update:
From Jayna Davis’ website:
“The most incriminating testimony centers around former Iraqi soldier, Hussain Al-Hussaini, whom witnesses place in the company of bomber Timothy McVeigh prior to the blast, seated in the passenger seat of the Ryder truck the morning of April 19, exiting that truck at ground zero, and speeding away from the bomb site in the only getaway vehicle targeted by the FBI in an all-points-bulletin for Middle Eastern suspects. Al-Hussaini has been unable to establish his whereabouts for the critical hours of that fateful morning, and more glaringly, the Justice Department has declined to officially exonerate him of suspicion.
Deconstructing the murky past of the accused paves a trail of clues leading from the plains of Oklahoma to the sands of Iraq. Hussain Al-Hussaini, a self-professed insurrectionist, told the press that he had been imprisoned for publicly criticizing the Butcher of Baghdad. But Al-Hussaini’s woeful tale of “persecution” under the tyrannical reign of ousted Iraqi despot, Saddam Hussein, does not stand up to scrutiny.
Was the Iraqi expatriate a dissident or disciple? After copious examination of Al-Hussaini’s immigration records and his emblematic military tattoos, defense analysts have reached a disquieting determination: the man, whom witnesses named as the infamous third terrorist, was not a rank-and-file infantryman. Colonel Patrick Lang, a Middle East expert who formerly served as the chief of human intelligence for the Defense Intelligence Agency, believes Hussain Al-Hussaini would have been counted among Saddam’s elite fighting forces.
“Our conclusion would be that this guy (Al-Hussaini) had been a member of either the Special Troops Division of the Iraqi Military Intelligence or the Adnan Division of the Republican Guard,” Colonel Lang firmly asserted. The ex-military intelligence chief postulated that Al-Hussaini’s purported history as a political dissenter was “complete nonsense,” but the story, in his opinion, served as a clever means to facilitate infiltration into the United States as a false defector and Iraqi intelligence agent. “This guy is clearly not a refugee … none of that fits with his tattoo.”
“I have compared this (Jayna Davis’ investigation) to all human intelligence I have looked at, and in comparing that to classified material, this is not just one witness. This is not just two witnesses. You’re talking about twenty-three people,” stated Larry Johnson, a former CIA analyst and deputy director of counterterrorism for the U.S. Department of State. In March 2002, Johnson succinctly summarized the enormity of evidence implicating the Middle East before a nationwide audience.
“You’re talking about at least ten people that put Tim McVeigh with Hussain Al-Hussaini before the Oklahoma City bombing. Two people who identify Hussain Al-Hussaini (with McVeigh) in a bar on April 15. Three people who identify Hussaini Al-Hussaini running from the federal building early in the morning of April 19 at 5:30 A.M. as he is practicing timing himself. You have two witnesses that put Tim McVeigh with Hussain Al-Hussaini in the Ryder truck. You have one witness inside the Murrah Building who sees Hussain Al-Hussaini getting out of the truck… .and he is seen driving away from the building,” Johnson declared on the Fox News Channel, “My concern is that this angle was never pursued, and to this day, the FBI has refused to exonerate this man. They have refused to go out and check out his alibis.”
Dozens of witnesses firmly implicate Hussain Al-Hussaini and a cabal of Iraqi soldiers colluding with the convicted bombers during the months, weeks, days and final moments leading up to detonation. The heart-wrenching truth behind April 19 would be forever memorialized by a small cadre of average Oklahomans – unsuspecting bystanders who unwittingly witnessed the most critical stages of an Islamic terrorist plot to murder more Americans in a single explosion, than the total number of U.S. soldiers who died on the battlefields of the Persian Gulf War.

An FBI spokesman in Boston, Greg Comcowich, said Thursday night that a man named Hussain Al-Hussaini was “thoroughly investigated” in connection with the Oklahoma City bombing and “was found to not have any role whatsoever in the attack on the Murrah Federal Building in 1995… The investigation was closed and the FBI has no further interest in that individual,” he said.
The FBI has no interest. Chew on that.
This is the same FBI that fired John O’Neill for daring to bring up uncomfortable evidence that a fellow named Osama bin Laden planned to attack the World Trade Center with airplanes.
O’Neill then took a job as the Director of Security of the Port Authority of NY/NJ, and perished in the basement of the WTC after Moslems slammed jetliners into the two buildings.
Such courage is not welcome in the FBI, which after dropping the ball on 9/11 went on to launch an affirmative action program to bring Moslems on board as Special Agents. The stumblebum organization was able to get that job done, at least.
America is not unique in having its share of psychopathic serial killers but one thing we don't have is native born religious fanatics who commit mass murder of innocent civilians. There is only one religion in the whole world that is waging war on America and against Christians and Jews everywhere else. That is the barbaric cult called Islam. Now I can stop using the conditional phrase "virtually all" in placing the blame on terrorists in America because now it appears that Timothy McVeigh was acting in consort with an Islamic terrorist. And this is one more reason why American Muslims of good conscience should condemn all acts of terrorism and reconsider what is really behind the instructions passed down from their prophet that gives these terrorists their motivation.
And, just for historical purposes, since we have mentioned the infamous relationship between former president Bill Clinton and Muslim terrorists at home, we know that besides sending American troops to fight the Christians to protect the Muslim population in Bosnia, we also know that Bill Clinton turned down an offer from Sudan to capture Osama bin Laden years before he ordered the Sept. 11, 2001 attack. Newsmax reported that:
"During a February 2002 speech, Clinton explained that he turned down an offer from Sudan for bin Laden's extradition to the U.S., saying, "At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him."
But that wasn't exactly true. By 1996, the 9/11 mastermind had already been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing by prosecutors in New York."
As sad as it is to think about it, this whole scenario seems to follow the modus operandi of Hollywood screen writers who never kill off the bad guy so they can profit from a sequel.

Best news headline of the day: "Muslims enraged at King's hearings show that Islam is a Religion of Peace by threatening his life"

Couldn't resist passing this along in its entirety because the headline alone is the best one of the day. Apologies to Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch.
Muslims enraged at King's hearings show that Islam is a Religion of Peace by threatening his life

And despite the propaganda offensive by Hamas-linked CAIR and other Islamic supremacist groups, most Americans support the hearings. I certainly hope they do some good, and that King no longer allows himself to be cowed by his opponents. Certainly their fury and mendacity as the hearings begin indicate that he is getting close to areas that Islamic supremacists in the U.S. don't want examined.

More on this story. "King Draws Fire for Hearings on Radicalization of Muslims in U.S., But Most Americans Support Discussion," from FoxNews.com, March 10 (thanks to all who sent this in):

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Peter King has had around-the-clock security as he pushes forward with a hearing Thursday on the radicalization of Muslims in America, but a new Gallup poll shows a majority of Americans support King's plans.

The New York Republican who is hosting the first in a series of hearings on homegrown terror, will have extra security from Capitol Police who will be securing the congressional hearing room and surrounding areas, as well as his office, as the House Homeland Security Committee takes testimony.

That's on top of a larger security detail provided by the New York Police Department and the Nassau County, N.Y., police, who have been guarding King for the past few months.

But a new Gallup poll shows that 52 percent of Americans say these hearings are appropriate, though support is split among party lines.

Sixty-nine percent of Republicans say the hearings are the right thing, while only 40 percent say they are appropriate. Independents' views track closely to the national average at 51 percent supporting the hearings. Overall, 49 percent of Democrats polled on Tuesday say the hearings are not appropriate, compared to 42 percent of independents and 23 percent of Republicans....

In his opening statement, King says he is "well aware" that the hearings have generated "considerable controversy and opposition" but he's not talking about anything different than the Obama administration is considering.

"Congressional investigation of Muslim American radicalization is the logical response to the repeated and urgent warnings which the Obama administration has been making in recent months."

The Obama administration has tried to frame the discussion around radicalization in general, without singling out Muslims. King has said that's just political correctness since Al Qaeda is the main threat to the U.S.

Despite the protests, there's nothing in the prepared testimony that indiscriminately labels Muslims as terrorists, as critics had feared....

Critics didn't "fear" that. They knew that would never happen. Critics tried to whip up fears of that happening in order to try to make sure the King hearings would be toothless or even scrapped altogether.

Communist Party USA gathering leftists together in Wisconsin union workers battle.

The New Zeal blog is the largest repository of documented data on left-wing politics in the world. They are located in Christchurch, New Zealand. Today they have reported news about the Communist Party USA involvement in the Wisconsin state union workers issue that bears serious watching. Also in Wisconsin, the New Zeal blog reports about the involvement of the Democrat Socialists of America. Here is the two stories:

Communist Party Calls for Stepped Up Struggle in Wisconsin

The Communist Party USA will not be taking the passing of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's "Budget Repair Bill" lying down.

In a statement issued by the Peoples World editorial board, Wisconsin Republicans’ victory will be short-lived, the Communist leadership made it clear that the "Battle of Madison" is far from over.
Wisconsin Republicans and their extremist corporate backers may have pulled a fast one last night, but we predict their victory will be short-lived.

Thumbing their noses at the unprecedented, united outpouring of protest by the working people of Wisconsin, state Senate Republicans bypassed rules and democratic process to stage a Republicans-only vote to destroy collective bargaining rights for public workers...

This latest cold-blooded backroom maneuver strikes a blow at deep-rooted American feelings about democracy and basic rights of working people.
And the people of Wisconsin have shown they will not take it lying down. Over the past month, their united, creative and determined grassroots Cheesehead spirit has electrified the nation...

A movement to recall Republican lawmakers and the governor is gaining steam. Just three state senators need to be recalled to end Republican control of the Senate. Another immediate focus is mobilizing to elect liberal assistant attorney general Joanne Kloppenburg to the state Supreme Court on April 5. She would replace a right-wing Republican and tip the court balance toward worker rights in key rulings. Expect mass actions of all kinds in the coming days and weeks... A broad and united people's movement can never be defeated.
The Communist Party understands that the outcome of this struggle will be a major turning point in American history. The communists know that their only hope is to  make an example of Wisconsin, so that other state legislators will hesitate to pass similar laws in their own states.

Now is the time for all freedom lovers to support the Wisconsin Republican State senators in their efforts to save their state from bankruptcy and mob rule.

The consequences of this drama go far beyond Wisconsin - far beyond the United States.

Wisconsin is to fiscal responsibility, what Arizona was to responsible immigration reform.

Red Peps 4 Spencer Coggs - Socialist Affiliated Wisconsin State Senator

Red Reps 3 here

While Wisconsin Senate Minority leader Mark Miller was  the leader of the 14 strong Democrat "Flee Party"  who recently skipped Wisconsin to avoid voting on the "Budget Repair Bill", fellow Senator Spencer Coggs was his most vocal lieutenant.

Spencer Coggs
On March 7, 2011, Sen. Spencer Coggs reiterated his support for Senate Democratic Minority Leader Mark Miller  and the unity of the Senate Democratic Caucus.

“We as a caucus have reaffirmed Mark Miller as our leader and spokesperson,” Sen. Coggs said. “And Senate Democrats will not be split by the desperate attempts of Republicans seeking to divide us...Our leader Mark Miller has made his statement in response to the Governor’s press conference, and today we re-confirmed that we are with him 14 strong."

Mark Miller has  ties to the U.S.'s largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America, one of the key instigators  of recent militant protests in Madison Wisconsin, and support protests further afield. It appears that Spencer Coggs has similar connections.

Prior to being elected to the State Legislature, Spencer Coggs worked as a postal worker, industrial printer, and as a City of Milwaukee Health Officer. As a Health Officer, Spencer was Chief Steward of the heavily D.S.A. infiltrated American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.

By the mid 1990s, Coggs was a several term veteran of the Wisconsin Legislature and also a member  of the Progressive Milwaukee Steering Committee.

Progressive Milwaukee was a Wisconsin affiliate of the radical New Party,Barack Obama.

The New Party was created by D.S.A., the ultra left Institute for Policy Studies, D.S.A. led SEIU and D.S.A. influenced ACORN. A key  founder and one time chairman of Progressive Milwaukee was prominent Wisconsin  labor leader and D.S.A. member Bruce Colburn.

In 1996, Spencer Coggs  was one  four Progressive Milwaukee / New Party-backed candidates running for state office - one of the others being currently serving Wisconsin Congresswoman  Gwendolynne Moore.

In the Summer of 2005, State Senator Mark Miller  reintroduced Wisconsin organization Coalition for Wisconsin Health's Wisconsin Universal Health Program legislation.

The Coalition  worked to help Miller recruit  new cosponsors for the bill, one of whom was Spencer Coggs.

Coalition  Treasurer at the time was George Robson, co-chair of  Madison Democratic Socialists of America, while Vice Chair was Linda Farley, MD, from Physicians for a National Health Program - which was founded and led by D.S.A. member, New Party founder and Barack Obama mentor, friend and personal physician, Dr. Quentin Young.

In 2010, while running in the primary for Wisconsin Lt.- Governor Senator Spencer Coggs was "proud to receive the endorsement of Citizen Action of Wisconsin" . Citizen Action was  founded by D.S.A. "friend" Heather BoothMidwest Academy.

In 2010, Spencer Coggs served on the Board of Directors for the George Soros funded Progressive States Network, an organization which seeks to "transform the political landscape by sparking progressive actions at the state level".

Other P.S.N. board members include;
Clearly the Wisconsin State Senate is in urgent need of a socialist "spring cleaning".
It was the New Zeal blog that uncovered the story of Barack Hussein Obama's early involvement in Illinois politics when he joined the leftist New Party in Chicago and was elected to the state legislature with their endorsement.

Impoverished Wisconsin union thug threatens to kill all GOP senators who voted against collective bargaining.

Government employed union workers have the best of both situations. First, since they have the right to vote like we do, they get to choose who the people are who will negotiate their contracts and second, it is almost impossible for a union worker to be fired because the arbitrators always side with the workers. Worse yet, from reading other cases of state employees who's incompetence or other actions warranted termination, state arbitrators most often not only gave the worker back his job but also all of the back pay they lost after getting canned. Now we all know from watching the news media coverage from Wisconsin how underpaid and overworked these union workers are. We know this because our leftist mainstream news media sympathizes with the unions. But conservative writer Ann Coulter summed it up in her recent column on this matter with her opening two paragraphs and the last paragraph of her column.
Ann Coulter wrote On March 9, 2011:
Can we stop acting as if people who work for the government are the heroes of working people?

Fine, we understand that Wisconsin public sector employees like the system that pays them an average of $76,500 per year, with splendiferous benefits, and are fighting like wildcats against any proposed reforms to that system.
Because of the insane union contracts in Wisconsin, one Madison bus driver, John E. Nelson, was able to make $159,000 in 2009 -- about $100,000 of which in overtime pay. Jackie Gleason didn't make that much playing bus driver Ralph Kramden on "The Honeymooners." Seven bus drivers took home more than $100,000 that year.
So one of these impoverished state employees couldn't deal with the thought of not having collective bargaining and went off the deep end. One of them shot off a threatening email to all of the Republican State Senators and the Wisconsin State Police are investigating it. The part of the letter that I love most is the sentence:
"If you and your goonies feel that it’s necessary to strip the rights of 300,000 people and ruin their lives, making them unable to feed, clothe, and provide the necessities to their families and themselves then We Will “get rid of” (in which I mean kill) you."
Local radio station WTMJ in Milwaukee obtained the e-mail, and has posted it on their web site. They redacted the sender’s name pending an investigation by the police (note emphasis added):

Subject: Atten: Death threat!!!! Bomb!!!!
Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die.
WE want to make this perfectly clear. Because of your actions today and in the past couple of weeks I and the group of people that are working with me have decided that we’ve had enough. We feel that you and the people that support the dictator have to die. We have tried many other ways of dealing with your corruption but you have taken things too far and we will not stand for it any longer. So, this is how it’s going to happen: I as well as many others know where you and your family live, it’s a matter of public records. We have all planned to assult you by arriving at your house and putting a nice little bullet in your head. However, we decided that we wouldn’t leave it there. We also have decided that this may not be enough to send the message to you since you are so “high” on Koch and have decided that you are now going to single handedly make this a dictatorship instead of a demorcratic process. So we have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent. This includes, your house, your car, the state capitol, and well I won’t tell you all of them because that’s just no fun. Since we know that you are not smart enough to figure out why this is happening to you we have decided to make it perfectly clear to you. If you and your goonies feel that it’s necessary to strip the rights of 300,000 people and ruin their lives, making them unable to feed, clothe, and provide the necessities to their families and themselves then We Will “get rid of” (in which I mean kill) you. Please understand that this does not include the heroic Rep. Senator that risked everything to go aganist what you and your goonies wanted him to do. We feel that it’s worth our lives to do this, because we would be saving the lives of 300,000 people. Please make your peace with God as soon as possible and say goodbye to your loved ones we will not wait any longer. YOU WILL DIE!!!!
Wisconsin GOP senators were told to flee the Capitol almost immediately after their vote because police told them “it was not safe.” Fox News commentator Greta VanSusteren interviewed one of the senators after the vote.
"In an interview following the Wisconsin Senate‘s vote to strip away state workers’ collective bargaining privileges, Republican state Sen. Glenn Grothman told Fox News’ Greta VanSusteren Wednesday evening that Republican lawmakers had been instructed to leave the state capital because “it was not safe.”
“We left the capitol about 15 minutes after the vote under police protection because there was an angry mob,” Grothman said. “We were told to get out of Madison as quickly as possible.”
I have my own thoughts on this matter, not just with Wisconsin but in every state. Union workers employed by state governments who want to retain their collective bargaining rights should give up their right to vote in general elections. They should not be allowed to vote for and help elect the people who will decide their contracts, their pay and their benefits.

Should Congress Probe Muslim Radicalization?

Over on the Fox News web site there is a story about NY Rep. Peter King and the hearing that his Congressional committee is conducting on the radicalization of Muslims in America. There is also an unscientific poll being taken on how the public feels about this and the results, so far, are astounding. As of 1:20 PM today 95.65% of 68,290 votes were in favor of this investigation.

Should Congress Probe Muslim Radicalization?

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) is holding a controversial hearing Thursday examining the threat posed by radicalized American Muslims. (For more on the King hearings, click here.) Should Congress be investigating Muslim radicalization?

Thank you for voting!

Glad to see a large majority of Americans agree with this. Since the first bombing of the World Trade Center back in 1993, virtually all of the acts of terrorism committed or attempted in America have been perpetrated by Muslims. The asinine attitude of Political Correctness has stood in the way of our government and news media from labeling these acts for what they are. It is time that our government looked into what is causing it.
The Fox News story contains this piece of advanced testimony from Martin Bledsoe, the father of one of those radicalized Muslims.
Melvin Bledsoe, whose son allegedly attacked an Army recruiting center in Arkansas, said in written testimony -- which Fox News has seen -- that Americans are ignoring the issue.
"There is a big elephant in the room, but our society continues not to see it. This wrong is caused by political correctness. You can even call it political fear," he said.
Bledsoe plans to describe how his son, Carlos, was radicalized when he went off to college in Nashville, Tenn. In his testimony, he explained how his son's personality changed and how, when he returned home for the holidays in 2005, he told his family he converted to Islam. From that point, he changed his name and eventually traveled to Yemen.
"Some Muslim leaders had taken advantage of my son. But he's not the only one being taken advantage of. This is going on in Nashville and in many other cities in America," Bledsoe plans to say. "In Nashville, Carlos was captured by people best described as hunters. He was manipulated and lied to. That's how he made his way to Yemen."

Debating the fear of Islamic terrorism.

Yesterday I posted a commentary: Are we really suffering from a false fear of Islam after so many terrorist acts in America? and I received a lengthy, well written opinion from a gentleman named Gerry Schulze offering what he believed to be numerous arguments. I have agreed to post his entire reply and debate it. It should be noted that Gerry Schulze is a well educated lawyer who has posted commentary on an atheist web site called Atheist Nexus http://www.atheistnexus.org/profile/gerrysch and his profile can be found on Linkedin.com as well as his personal web site. Here is Mr. Schulze's reply:
This is a thought-provoking article.  I don’t want to sound too negative, but there are a few minor points I’d like to make here.  The claim that there is a statue of Moses at the Supreme Court to show the Judeo-Christian origin of our legal system is a half truth.  It is true that there is a statue of Moses at the Supreme Court.  It is not true that the purpose is to show the Judeo-Christian origin of our legal system.  Further, the term “Judeo-Christian” is meaningless in the context of the origins of our legal system.

First, the statue of Moses.   “The South Wall Frieze includes figures of lawgivers from the ancient world and includes Menes, Hammurabi, Moses, Solomon, Lycurgus, Solon, Draco, Confucius, and Augustus. The North Wall Frieze shows lawgivers from the middle ages on and includes representations of Justinian, Muhammad, Charlemagne, John of England, Louis IX of France, Hugo Grotius, Sir William Blackstone, John Marshall, and Napoleon. Wikipedia

Wait a minute!  Did they say Muhammad?  Say it ain’t so!  Well, it’s so, but political correctness has made the court personnel pretend it ain’t so.  Tourist materials have been edited to clarify that the statue isn’t really a depiction of Muhammad since we don’t know what Muhammad looks like.  Wikipedia.  Frankly, I call nonsense on this.  Muhammad was a secular lawgiver and belongs on in the list as a matter of history.  That he is also recognized as a prophet by a religion is not a matter of concern.  Pagans may claim Augustus was deified on the testimony of Suetonius.  Should we mention that in the brochure as well?  I think not.

Second, the Judeo-Christian origin of our legal system only exists in the sense that throughout most of the development of the common law the people who developed it also happened to be Christians.  Most would not have recognized the term “Judeo-Christian” which is of fairly recent vintage.  Certainly there are some common principles, in that both the Christian and the secular legal systems frown on much of the same behavior.  But the English Common Law and the American Constitution are not explicitly based on anything found in Christian scriptures, and the system of justice bears no resemblance to those found in scripture.  The central teachings of Jesus of Nazareth regarding repentance and forgiveness are nowhere to be found in our legal system, and despite vigorous argumentation to the contrary, Jesus was not a free market capitalist.

Third, the assertion that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim is a violation of the commandment against bearing false witness against one’s neighbor.  Barack Hussein Obama has said that he is a Christian and that Jesus Christ died for his sins.  That is not a Muslim speaking.  That is a Christian.  Some say that Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim because his father was a Muslim.  Nonsense.  If “Charlie” thinks Barack is a Muslim because Barack’s father was a Muslim, that doesn’t mean Barack is a Muslim. That means Charlie is a Muslim. That one’s religion can be inherited from one’s father is a tenet of the Muslim faith, not the Christian faith, and not the non-believer’s faith.

I have friends who are Muslims, friends who are non-believers, and friends who are Christians.  I submit that the paranoia about Muslims as Muslims is indefensible.  Sure, there are some Muslims who are out to get us.  But there are some Christians who are out to get us, some Chinese who are out to get us, some Frenchmen who are out to get us, and even a few non-believers who are out to get us.  When we allow a handful--and it is a handful--of extremely dangerous radical people to be the face of Islam for us, we surrender our reason and our sanity to them.  Imagine if we were to allow David Koresh, Fred Phelps, and Tony Alamo to be the face of Christianity to us.  Imagine if we were to allow Timothy McVeigh to be the face of white people.  Look at the statistics.  An American is over five hundred times more likely to die at his own hand than to die at the hand of a terrorist.  Do we devote five hundred times more resources to suicide prevention than we do terrorist prevention?  We have made air travel far more expensive, inconvenient, and time consuming with unnecessary and excessive precautions--strip searching grandmothers and babies.  That has turned how many plane trips to far more dangerous automobile trips, resulting in how many deaths?  We are unable to adequately assess risk, and thanks to that real people die every day.

So does that mean that the fear of terrorists as terrorists is indefensible?  Not at all!  There are really terrorists and they are really dangerous.  The problem is that we have allowed those terrorists to disguise themselves as the “faithful.”  I submit that they are not the true believers at all.  I submit that genuine Islam does not permit the killing of innocent non-combatants, nor does it permit suicide attacks.  While there are certainly violent passages in the Koran, there are violent passages in other scriptures as well.  A proper understanding of any religious tradition in cultural context cannot begin and end with a study of its scripture.  Tradition, history, culture, and the like must also be considered.  There are many peaceful, even pacifist traditions within Islam.  We cannot and should not cede “Islam” to these bullies and villains.  They are not the true face of Islam.  Of the one and a half billion people in the world who are Muslims, only a tiny fraction of a fraction participate in terrorism.

Can a properly phrased poll portray the radicals as far more popular than they are?  Of course it can.  A poll of Americans would show many who would like the country run on “Christian” or “Biblical” principles, but we’d see how long that lasted the first time someone tried to enforce Deuteronomy 21: 18-21, now wouldn’t we?

We should not fear the wrong thing.  We should fear the right thing.

Gerry
My reply: America was founded by a religious group called Puritans who arrived on the Mayflower from England in 1620. The Pilgrims left England to escape persecution by the Church of England so that they could practice their religion freely. It is said that our nation was founded upon Judeo-Christian principles and Wikipedia offers further meaning as shown below along with the hypertext references:
In our country, "Judeo-Christian values" is shorthand for a complex idea: the common culture of the American majority. The values are called Judeo-Christian because they derive from the complementary ideas of free will, the moral accountability of the individual rather than the group, the spiritual imperative of imperfect man's struggle to do what is right and the existence of true moral law in the teachings of Christ and the Jewish prophets. Along with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, they are the political and cultural heritage of the Founding Fathers. The Declaration and the Constitution define the source and the limits of state power. But they do not tell us how a moral life within this society should be led. While they have provided a durable structure for America's success, only Judeo-Christian values, freely held by the majority, explain its continuing realization. These values are not identical with the Christian religion, although they manifest its universal insights. Americans, as the Founding Fathers hoped, uphold the Constitution, but live according to "Judeo-Christian values".[2]
Mr. Schulze excerpted part of my blog's heading where I mention that: "Images of Moses adorn the Supreme Court in recognition of the Judeo-Christian origin of our laws." And, indeed, as this photo shows, there is an image of Moses in the center holding the Ten Commandments above the South entrance to the U.S. Supreme Court building. Wikipedia also notes that Moses appears eight times in carvings that ring the Supreme Court Great Hall ceiling, so the significance of Moses and the Ten Commandments as a "law giver" and source of our laws is very important.

Mr. Schulze also mentions that on the opposite side of the Supreme Court there is another frieze that depicts the Prophet Mohammad among another group of lawmakers. When the Supreme Court building was constructed in 1935 there was no vocal Islamic fundamentalists calling it an insult to Islam to show an image of their prophet as they do today. In many parts of the world there have been violent riots sparked by Islamic clerics that caused many deaths for just such an innocent illustration. So what is the real source of contention here? Is it the Islamic religion or is it the faithful Muslims who follow it? It is my belief that the vast majority of Muslims in America are good people who simply follow the teachings of an ancient religion that still holds to a 7th Century ideology. But the version of "law" credited to the Prophet Mohammad for historical purposes is still extremely barbaric by modern day standards. And the religion of Islam, in the very words contained in the Qur'an, still make incessant commands to wage war on every non-Muslim everywhere.

It can be argued that there are two kinds of Muslims, good Muslims and bad Muslims, just as there are good Christians and bad Christians, but the labels confuse the meaning. A good Christian is one who reads the Holy Bible, goes to church every day and applies the principles of "love thy neighbor as thyself" to every aspect of his life. A bad Christian does not go to church. From a modern day perspective, the good faithful Muslim is one who has been reminded by someone he recognizes as an authority that his Prophet has commanded him to wage war on non-believers and that he must not make friends with them. The bad Muslim is one that does not follow his religion that closely and thus tries to be a good citizen. The problem is not with the Muslim but with the way his religion is explained to him. It is his choice whether to follow the teachings or not.

I have been a baptized Roman Catholic all my life and attended church whenever possible until a liberal element made grave changes to the major parts of my church and my religion. That change occurred after the Second Vatican Council in 1965. That liberal change destroyed the Holy Mass and subsequently led to a degraded selection of applicants into the seminaries that created a new generation of priests. Years later we have seen how many child molesting priests, outright pedophiles, some who actually belonged to such groups as NAMBLA the North American Man Boy Love Association virtually destroyed the church from bankrupting lawsuits.  I chose not to be a practicing Catholic because of those changes and I am not at all surprised at how the situation has deteriorated today. By some standards I am not a good Catholic because I reject what my church stands for. This same argument must be applied to Muslims for the changes that have occurred in their religion.

On the question of whether Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim or not is not "bearing false witness against one's neighbor". Obama was enrolled in school in Indonesia as a Muslim under the name Barry Soetoro where he was taught to read and speak Arabic and quote the Qur'an. And among the teachings in the Qur'an is the use of Taqiyya as the Prophet Mohammad explained in Sera 3:28. Qur’an 3:28 enjoins believers not to take the company of doubters unless as a means of safeguarding themselves. “Let not the believers take those who deny the truth for their allies in preference to the believers – since he who does this cuts himself off from God in everything – unless it be to protect yourself against them in this way…” Regarding 3:28, Ibn Kathir, a prominent authority writes, "Whoever at any time or place fears their [infidels'] evil may protect himself through outward show." As proof of this, he quotes Muhammad's companion, al-Hassan, who said, “taqiyya is acceptable till the Day of Judgment [i.e., in perpetuity].”

So when Barack Hussein Obama proclaims that "he is a Christian and that Jesus Christ died for his sins" he is practicing the art of lying that he was taught in his Muslim faith. This debate is not about Barack Hussein Obama, but if it were there would be only one question I would ask and that would be "why do you spend millions in lawyer fees to keep your personal records hidden from the public?" If you (Mr. Schulze) are willing to take everyone's word at face value that is your problem. For a lawyer to do so I think that is quite gullible. I personally believe that Obama has some dark secrets he wants to hide. The parts about Obama's 20-year following at Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ, with his anti-white, anti American rhetoric, that we do know leaves me to believe he is far from being a "Christian" in any sense of the word.

Back to the subject, we do seem to agree to some extent that the religion of Islam has been hijacked, as you say, "The problem is that we have allowed those terrorists to disguise themselves as the “faithful.”" But how has that been accomplished? You must acknowledge the facts that the majority of mosques that have spread across America in recent years have been financed by the government of Saudi Arabia. Along with that finance they were required to use printed material espousing Wahhabism, a hate-filled version of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia that attacks western culture. Many of these mosques became recruitment centers for domestic terrorists. The Center for Religious Freedom 95-page publication Saudi Propagada in mosques  available in Adobe Acrobat describes it:
Furthermore, the Saudi government has directly staffed some of these institutions. The King Fahd mosque, the main mosque in Los Angeles, from which several of these publications were gathered, employed an imam, Fahad al Thumairy, who was an accredited diplomat of the Saudi Arabian consulate from 1996 until 2003, when he was barred from reentering the United States because of terrorist connections. The 9/11 Commission Report describes the imam as a “well-known figure at the King Fahd mosque and within the Los Angeles Muslim community,” who was reputed to be an “Islamic fundamentalist and a strict adherent to orthodox Wahhabi doctrine” and observed that he “may have played a role in helping the [9/11] hijackers establish themselves on their arrival in Los Angeles.”
Several hate-filled publications in this study were also gathered from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Fairfax, Virginia. According to investigative reports in the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S., served as chairman of this school’s Board of Trustees, and some 16 other personnel there held Saudi diplomatic visas until they were expelled for extremism by the State Department in 2004.10 Until late 2003, the institute was an official adjunct campus of the Imam Mohammed Ibn-Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, part of Saudi Arabia’s state-run university system, funded and controlled by the Saudi Ministry of Education.11 Although Saudi Arabia claims to have severed official links with it, the Institute the Saudis established continues to operate in northern Virginia.
Some of the works were published by the Al-Haramain Foundation, run from Saudi Arabia with branch offices in the United States until the FBI blocked its assets in February 2004, finding that it was directly funding al Qaeda. In October 2004, the Saudi government’s Ministry for Islamic Affairs dissolved the foundation, and, according to a senior Saudi official, its assets will be folded into a new Saudi National Commission for Charitable Work Abroad.
Some of the Wahhabi materials in this study were printed by publishers and libraries functioning as publishing houses in Saudi Arabia. Some of these are directly government-supported and-controlled, such as the King Fahd National Library and the General Presidency of the Administration of Scientific Research, Ifta’, Da’wa and Guidance (General Administration for Printing and Translation). Others, which may be privately run, are monitored closely by the state, which does not grant the free right to expression, and, according to the State Department, the government’s Ministry of Information has the authority to appoint and remove all editors-in-chief.
So while you may believe these terrorists are not "true believers" the jihad preached by the clerics within these mosques seems to have convinced many followers that they are. If you wonder how this can happen all you need to do is understand the Qur'an itself. I call your attention to another Adobe Acrobat publication called Statistical Islam an 11-page study written by the Center for the Study of Political Islam. One section reads:
There is a second division that overwhelms the reader of the historical Koran. A majority of the text concerns the kafir (unbeliever). It is not about being a Muslim, but about the kafir. A note: most Koran translations use the word “unbeliever” instead of kafir, but kafir is the actual Arabic word.
This term is so important and so unknown that the meaning of kafir must be defined. The original meaning of the word is one who covers or conceals the known truth. A kafir knows that the Koran is true, but denies it. The Koran says that the kafir may be deceived, plotted against, hated, enslaved, mocked, tortured and worse. The word is usually translated as “unbeliever” but this translation is wrong. The word “unbeliever” is logically and emotionally neutral, whereas, kafir is the most abusive, prejudiced and hateful word in any language.
There are many religious names for kafirs: polytheists, idolaters, People of the Book (Christians and Jews), atheists, agnostics, and pagans. Kafir covers them all, because no matter what the religious name is, they can all be treated the same. What Mohammed said and did to polytheists can be done to any other category of kafir.
Islam devotes a great amount of energy to the kafir. Not only is the majority (64%) of the Koran devoted to the kafir, but also nearly all of the Sira (81%) deals with Mohammed’s struggle with them. The Hadith (Traditions) devotes 32% of the text to kafirs.
How easy is it for someone to read the passages in the Qur'an an visualize a "Religion of Peace" and not understand the true nature of the book itself? Here is another passage from Statistical Islam that explains it.
Case 4: Abrogation and Dualism
Not only are there two Korans, Meccan and Medinan, that are different in tone and subject matter, but also the Koran has many verses that contradict each other.

Koran 2:219 says that Muslims should be tolerant and forgiving to People of the Book.

Koran 9:29 says to attack the People of the Book until they pay the jizyah, the dhimmi tax, submit to Sharia law and be humbled.

Which verse shows the true nature of Islam?

The Koran recognizes its contradictions and even gives a rule to resolve the contradictions. The later verse abrogates (supercedes) the earlier verse. This does not mean, however, that the earlier verse is wrong or in error. This would be impossible since the fundamental hypothesis is that Allah created the Koran and, hence, the earlier verse must be true or Allah would be wrong.

Abrogation has an impact on the arguments about the true nature of Islam. At endless interfaith dialogs, the early tolerant verse is quoted to show the nature of Islam as being peaceful. When both verses are quoted and then abrogation is applied, we see that the later verse trumps the earlier tolerant one. Jihad abrogates tolerance. In general, the Medinan Koran abrogates the Meccan Koran. In the two verses above, tolerance is abrogated by jihad against the Christians.

But, the earlier verse is true and still used. Abrogation does not negate the early verse. Indeed, the earlier “peaceful” verse that is abrogated is the one most apt to be used in public discourse.

This creates a logical problem, since if two things contradict each other, at least one of them must be false. This is a fundamental element of Western unitary logic. In Koranic logic, two statements can contradict each other and both are true. This is dualistic logic.

An alternative explanation is that the early verse is first stage in a process, like a seed, and the later verse is a second stage, like a plant. There is truth to this, but the process model does not take into account the fact that both truths are available at the same time. To go back to the analogy, you don’t have the seed and the plant at the same time. The verses contradict each other and are both true at the same time. This is dualistic logic.
The contradictions are usually explained by abrogation, the classical doctrine, but the principle of abrogation is limited to the Koran. Duality includes the special case of abrogation and it explains how the entire doctrine of Koran and Sunna work. It is not just the Koran that is contradictory, but all of the Sunna.
Another dualistic aspect of Islam is its ethics. One of the chief features of Islam is the doctrine of the kafir. It treats them dreadfully and horribly. No one would ever want to be treated as a kafir is treated in the Trilogy. This leads us to the Golden Rule. There is no Golden Rule in Islam because of the division of humanity into believer and kafir. The Golden Rule is to treat ALL people as you would be treated. Since no one wants be treated like a kafir, and the kafir is so central to Islamic doctrine, it proves that Islam has no Golden Rule. Islam has one set of rules for Muslims and another set of rules for kafirs. This is dualistic ethics.
An example of the dual ethics is the subject of friends. The Koran has 13 verses that say that a Muslim is not to be a friend of kafirs.
One last point is about the true feelings of Muslims in America. In answer to your last comment:
"Of the one and a half billion people in the world who are Muslims, only a tiny fraction of a fraction participate in terrorism.

Can a properly phrased poll portray the radicals as far more popular than they are?  Of course it can."
The number I have read say that as many as 10% of the world's 1.5 Billion Muslims are terrorists.  That is 150 Million terrorists if my math is right. A recent poll conducted among American Muslim college students by the Pew Research Center said that:  "One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances, though most Muslim Americans overwhelmingly reject the tactic and are critical of Islamic extremism and al-Qaida, a poll says." That's scary and I don't think it is an irrational phobia for anyone to be concerned about this. I wish the majority of Muslims that oppose terrorism would be more vocal about it. I know they are out there but I think they are scared to speak out and condemn Hamas, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Are we really suffering from a false fear of Islam after so many terrorist acts in America?

According to Wikipedia, a “phobia” is “(from the Greek meaning "fear" or "morbid fear"). [It] is an irrational, intense and persistent fear of certain situations, activities, things, animals, or people. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared stimulus.

This post is about the two opposing points of view about one type of phobia in America that has many people concerned. That is Islamophobia. A fear that Islam was the motivating factor behind the Sept. 11, 2001 attack carried out by 19 Muslims, the Ft. Hood, Texas massacre carried out by one Muslim, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Christmas Day bomber, attempted by one Muslim,
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Times Square bomber, attempted by one Muslim Faisal Shahzad, the 2010 Portland car bomb plot attempted by one Muslim Mohamed Osman Mohamud and dozens of other attacks and unsuccessful attacks that were all perpetrated by Muslims, many of whom yelled “Allahu Akbar” God is Great in Arabic when they committed them. The other point of view is summed up by a noted Islamic apologist named Dr. James Zogby.

James J. Zogby is the author of Arab Voices and the founder and president of the Arab American Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based organization which serves as a political and policy research arm of the Arab American community. He is a senior analyst (which makes him completely impartial) with his brother's polling firm, Zogby International, and is a lecturer and scholar on Middle East issues. He is also member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic National Committee who's titular head is the current occupant in the White House, another Muslim named Barack Hussein Obama. So now Dr. Zogby enlightens us on the danger facing our society called Islamophobia.

"Islamophobia can create radicalisation," by James Zogby in The Nation (Pakistan), March 7:

"Let me state quite directly: Islamophobia and those who promote it are a greater threat to the United States of America than Anwar al-Awlaqi and his ragtag team of terrorists."
It must be noted that the person James Zogby is speaking about is Anwar al-Awlaki, born April 22, 1971 (1971-04-22) (age 39) in Las Cruces, New Mexico) is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Yemen, of Yemeni descent. He is an Islamic lecturer, spiritual leader, and former imam who has inspired almost all of the Islamic terrorist acts mentioned above against the West. According to U.S. officials, he is a senior talent recruiter and motivator, who has also become “operational” as a planner and trainer, "for al-Qaeda and all of its franchises. The U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence warned that al-Awlaki "is extraordinarily dangerous, committed to carrying out deadly attacks on Americans and others worldwide"

Following the story about James Zogby's article on Jihad Watch, written by Robert Spencer, who said:
"Did you catch that? "Islamophobia," by which Zogby means a critical look at how jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism, is worse than repeatedly inciting to mass murder, as al-Awlaki has done."
a reader who calls himself Buraq hit the nail on the head when he said on March 7, 2011:
"If Islamophobia is an irrational fear of Islam, then what is the word for a rational fear of Islam?"
Precisely! How can one be suffering from an irrational fear of Islam when so many Islamic leaders are making statements proclaiming a worldwide Islamic war is coming soon. This is also from another article on Jihad Watch written by Robert Spencer and it bears close scrutiny.
"Islamic leadership is coming whether people like it or not"
Whether you like it or not, kuffar. "Saudi Islamic Scholar Muhammad Musa Al-Sharif: The Day Is Coming When Islam Will Rule the World Again, from MEMRITV, February 25 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Following are excerpts from an interview with Saudi Islamic scholar Dr. Muhammad Musa Al-Sharif, which aired on Iqra TV on February 25, 2011.
Muhammad Musa Al-Sharif: These events are paving the way for a greater thing to come. They are paving the way for a great Islam that is coming with force, because the world is in need of leadership. The current leadership – Communism, capitalism, and so on – has gone bankrupt. Only Islam is left to lead the world. The Prophet Muhammad foretold this clearly in several hadiths. Islamic leadership is coming whether people like it or not. Therefore, we must become soldiers of this emerging leadership.
[...]
When after the 16th century, the Islamic nation was removed from power – having been struck by all those tragedies – and others took over the leadership of mankind, we witnessed the worst possible results: oppression, global tyranny, arrogance, and despotism. The only thing that the sheiks, preachers, and scholars are demanding is that Islam rule the world once again....
According to the tag line for the web site Bare Naked Islam, “It isn’t Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill you.” So if it is true that they (those Muslims mentioned above) ARE trying to kill us then this must be a valid statement. Therefore the fear about Islam cannot be a phobia.

Barack Hussein Obama fights wars like he throws a baseball.

We’ve all heard about those new Rules of Engagement that one-time Muslim Barack Hussein Obama has forced our troops in Afghanistan to fight under. It was bad enough that the soldiers were not allowed to shoot at the Taliban until they were fired upon first. Then Obama decided that too many Muslim insurgents were still being killed in battle so he instructed his commanders to order soldiers on patrol to carry unloaded weapons.

Now we are also hearing that the BATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, has allowed weapons to be smuggled into Mexico in order to make a case against gun sales along the border cities in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. That phony effort was to be used as an excuse to pass gun control legislation but it was discovered that the serial numbers on two assault rifles found after a battle with drug dealers matched those owned by the BATF.

CBS Evening News reported that story,
"Agent: I was ordered to let U.S. guns into Mexico"
Posted by Sharyl Attkisson
WASHINGTON - Federal agent John Dodson says what he was asked to do was beyond belief.

He was intentionally letting guns go to Mexico?

"Yes ma'am," Dodson told CBS News. "The agency was."

An Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms senior agent assigned to the Phoenix office in 2010, Dodson's job is to stop gun trafficking across the border. Instead, he says he was ordered to sit by and watch it happen.
Now, a story being reported by WorldNet Daily News says that several independent sources have confirmed reports that US Border Patrol Agents were ordered to use non-lethal beanbag rounds while confronting the drug runners who were armed with AK-47 machine guns. WND columnist and former GOP Congressman Tom Tancredo reported on Dec. 18, 2010, how the confrontation a few days earlier that left Border Patrol agent Brian Terry dead developed, with the agents using "non-lethal" bean-bag rounds while the alleged drug smugglers "returned fire with real bullets." "Officials at the time reported such a scenario was impossible."

But now the Arizona Daily Star  reports that documents on file in U.S. District Court in Tucson involving the case are confirming Tancredo's report.
Records show agents fired beanbags in fatal border gunfight
Brady McCombs Arizona Daily Star Arizona Daily Star | Posted: Thursday, March 3, 2011 12:00 am
Border Patrol officials declined to answer questions about protocol for use of force, citing the ongoing investigation.

But Terry's brother, Kent Terry, said the other agents who were there that night told him that they were instructed to use the non-lethal beanbags first. It's a policy that doesn't make sense to Kent Terry.

"You go up against a bandit crew that is carrying AKs, and you walk out there with guns loaded with beanbags - I don't get it," Terry said in a phone interview from Michigan. "It's like going to the Iraqi war with one knife. It boggles my mind. ... These guys (Border Patrol agents) are professionals; they should be able to use their judgment call on their own."
According to the newspaper, the court documents say the U.S. officer was killed after a group of illegal aliens in Peck Canyon near Nogales on Dec. 14 refused commands to drop their weapons when confronted by agents.

The documents show two agents then fired beanbags at the illegals, who returned with real gunfire. Read more:
Border agents given bean bags to fight AK-47s

Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly interviewed Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s brother, Kent Terry in a headline story:
Murdered Agent Brian Terry armed with bean bag gun up against illegals with AK-47s
Agent Brian Terry was shot in the back and killed during a shoot-out on the Arizona border in December. He and his team confronted a group of immigrants packing AK-47s. Agent Terry was armed only with a non-lethal bean bag gun.

Why?

One Fox News commenter wrote: If this is true, and I have heard previously, that it was…This is the most disgusting news that I have heard. Napalatino, Holder should be fired immediately. This is a disgrace to the good men and women who are sworn Federal Agents. And if obama had a hand in this he should be impeached. What on earth is this Administration thinking. Yesterday obama give MORE$$$ to Mx and agrees our Agents should not be armed in MX?? We were fighting AK47s with BEAN BAGS…INSANE
Yes, it is insane, but is Obama fighting the war at home any differently then he is fighting it in Afghanistan? Oh, yeah, and he pitches a baseball just like a freakin' girl. Maybe there is some truth to what Rev. David Manning claims about Barry being a "long-legged mac daddy" and a closet bi-sexual. One thing for sure is he ain't no damn good for America.
