Rebranding the Republican Party

One picture is worth a thousand words.

But a few words are in order.

Speaker of the House John Boehner: " I absolutely trust Barack Obama."

Arizona Senator John McCain: "Barack Obama is a good man."

Mitt Romney: "Barack Obama is a good family man."

The politics of doom and gloom is making some people very wealthy.

Entrepreneurs have always been the backbone of our Free Enterprise system. They risk their own capital to invest in their own or someone else's ideas and they deserve to wealth as their reward. We have also heard of fake charity scams, they are the dark side of entrepreneurs, some of which are quickly set up to capitalize on every disaster. Where there is money there is greed. And greed knows no boundaries because it feeds on politics from both ends of the spectrum.

Super storm Sandy devastated the southern shore of Long Island and the coastal towns of New Jersey. Both of these areas are solid Democrat strongholds so it was no wonder that Obama was quick to visit the stricken areas for photo ops and promises of help to the local politicians. The photo ops were real but the promises were just that, a lot of hot air. You just have to live in a tent city or a FEMA trailer for several months to appreciate that.

In a related story about the monumental flop in the ObamaCare healthcare.gov web site that was created by the Canadian company CGI Federal, it was also mentioned that only 1.2 percent of the $60 billion federal aid package that was allocated, ever made it to the victims of the disaster. And it was CGI Federal who was placed in charge of dispersing the funds in the Disaster Housing Assistance Program. As with the ObamaCare web site, CGI Federal got the job without any competitive bids. Michelle Obama went to Princeton with one of the company executives. And one year later major portions of the devastated areas are still piled high with refuse from the storm, businesses are still closed and homes vacant. Like any war zone, large numbers of the population simply gave up and moved away.

Maybe that accounts for why the Democrats still keep getting elected. We all know that dead people vote. The voters names from the vacant homes were still in the Board of Elections database. You would still think the voters would hold them accountable for the promises they made and didn't keep.

Entrepreneurs have also invaded the right side of politics, as well. We learned from the 2012 elections that many conservative sounding groups had purchased email lists of Republican donors and flooded their mailboxes with appeals for funds in the name of dozens of candidates. And the candidates never saw a penny of it. Now, two years later, they are at it again. This time there seems to be a new group formed every day hawking every bad political headline trying to raise money to fight it. Campaigns to fight the U.N. gun grab and ObamaCare are raising millions but the only visible results seem to be paying for fancy postal mailings with print material. The generic use of the words Tea Party has spawned dozens of copycat groups which seem to be capitalizing on the few groups that started the movement four years ago. One doesn't know any more who to send a donation to that is the real deal and who is the scammer. Some groups don't even bother to create original text material any more. I have received strings of emails from different named groups with identical text in their messages. And a year after the 2012 elections I still get a half dozen letters every day, six days a week, asking for a contribution to one thing or another.

Unbelievable abuses in our justice system prompt fear of living in a Police State.

The war against freedom and liberty has already begun and the battlefield is littered with innocent victims. The Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, that inconvenient piece of paper upon which it was written, has been used for kindling to consume the Tree of Liberty. That is the state of justice in America today. I have never supported the motives and purpose of the leftist ACLU when they attacked the laws in our country but it goes without saying that we have devolved into something our Founding Fathers never considered. Or maybe they did, they talked a lot about tyranny.

Today, every law enforcement agency, from the local police and Sheriffs to State and County Police to the FBI under the direction of the Dept. of Justice has adopted the same rule regarding the use of deadly force: it is allowed whenever an officer feels threatened. Far too many stories have been reported about the exaggerated excess this rule has produced. While we have civilians like George Zimmerman using a legal concealed weapon in self-defense against a trained martial arts attacker to save his own life and subsequently brought to trial for homicide for his actions, we then have Sheriff's Deputies killing a 13-year boy for failing to drop a pellet rifle and they were justified because they felt threatened - all within the span of 10 seconds. That case is not much different than the six Cincinnati cops who had surrounded a mentally challenged man holding a brick and shot him multiple times because he also failed to "drop his weapon" when ordered and they "felt threatened". They were "following procedures", said the Police Chief. Or in Cleveland, Ohio when an incredible 137 bullets were fired during a 23-minute chase that involved five dozen cruisers that wove through residential neighborhoods before ending in gunfire. The driver Timothy Russell, 43, was shot 23 times and passenger Malissa Williams, 30, was shot 24 times. No gun or shell casings were found in their car. But at least in this case 63 patrol officers were suspended and the 13 officers who fired their weapons face a Grand Jury investigation.

But what about the number of times that cops have shot and killed little dogs who did nothing but bark at them which caused them to "feel threatened"? A retired Deputy Sheriff in Ohio riding a bicycle shot a small dog that ran up and barked at him with his .357 magnum handgun. Even when the dogs were running away from the cops, as in Prince George's County, Maryland when a SWAT team invaded the home of the mayor on a mistaken drug sting and used the family dogs for target practice, they, too, were justified because they "felt threatened". Have these atrocities been allowed to make people fear life in a Police State?

Now we have the following story from Texas. And considering the politics in this state, it is hard to believe it happened there because if it could it will happen everywhere.

Texas Judge Forced To Resign After Being Caught Texting Instructions To Assistant DA During Trial

Oh, the hilarity that is the phrase "criminal justice system." Talk to any defense attorney and they'll tell you how the deck is stacked against defendants and defense lawyers. The ideal of "innocent until proven guilty" has become little more than a disclaimer tacked onto cop-centered reality shows. Defendants are guilty until the jury is somehow tricked by the defense into handing down a "not guilty" verdict. A lot of effort goes towards dissuading defendants from even making it this far, as prosecutors will present worst-case scenarios comprised of every violation conceivable in order to get an agreement to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

The prevailing perception that the person charged is guilty, with the only answer yet to be determined is how guilty, makes defending arrestees an uphill battle. Judge (former judge) Elizabeth Coker took this uphill battle, increased the grade to 85 degrees, covered it with a sheet of ice and sprinkled it with a 50/50 blend of Teflon and motor oil.

    Elizabeth E. Coker may forever be known as the "texting judge," but her notoriety will soon be all that is left of her days on the bench of the 258th District Court of Polk, Trinity, and San Jacinto Counties. Coker signed an "AGREEMENT TO RESIGN FROM JUDICIAL OFFICE IN LIEU OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION" with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct…

    The agreement comes in the wake of a recent investigation revealing Coker texted instructions from the bench to a Polk County Assistant District Attorney who was assisting in the prosecution of a case in Coker's court.

The good news is that Coker is being stripped of all of her judicial power. Once the resignation goes through, she won't even be able to perform a wedding. The bad news is that this texting incident was only one of several alleged incidents in which Coker undermined the justice system. [Perhaps someone should have passed her, and any prosecutors dealing with her courtroom, a copy of this letter from a Texas DA warning his staff away from ex parte discussions...]

    [J]udge Coker used Assistant District Attorney Jones to privately communicate information about the Reeves case to the assistant district attorney prosecuting the case; to suggest questions for the prosecutor to ask during the trial; to ensure that a witness was able to refresh his memory and rehabilitate his testimony by reviewing his videotaped interview with law enforcement before he took the stand for the second time the following day; and to discuss legal issues pertinent to the case. in an unsuccessful effort to assist the State obtain a guilty verdict in the case…

    [t]he Commission investigated claims that Judge Coker allegedly engaged in other improper ex parte communications and meetings with Jones, other members of the Polk County District Attorney's Office, the San Jacinto County District Attorney, and certain defense attorneys regarding various Cases pending in her court; Judge Coker allegedly exhibited a bias in favor of certain attorneys and a prejudice against others in both her judicial rulings and her court appointments: and Judge Coker allegedly met with jurors in an inappropriate manner, outside the presence of counsel, while the jurors were deliberating in one or more criminal trials…

Add to all the alleged misconduct above the apparent fact that she kept using the same questionable tactics right up to her appearance before the Commission.

    [t]he Commission also expressed concerns that Judge Coker discussed the Commission's investigation and Judge Coker's written responses to the investigation with a material witness prior to that witness' testimony before the Commission in an apparent attempt to influence that witness, and that the judge may not have been candid and truthful in her testimony before the Commission when questioned about her contact with the witness...

In addition to stripping her judicial powers, the Commission also leaves her solely responsible for bearing the cost of any litigation arising from her alleged misconduct. The Commission, however, chose not to pursue these allegations in exchange for her immediate resignation. Coker utilizes that out in her public statement.

    "The Judicial Commission made no finding or determinations of fact in my voluntary resignation, and I have not admitted guilt, fault or liability in my voluntary resignation. While I could have fought these allegations, it would have involved significant time, significant expense, and disruption to everyone involved. I did not feel that was in the best interests of the taxpayers, our court system, my family or myself" Coker stated.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Coker sacrificing herself for the good of a long list of others, including the taxpayers who paid her salary and the court system she allegedly abused from a position of power. Thanks to the commission's decision, these will forever remain allegations -- the equivalent of "getting off on a technicality." If Coker ends up in court because of her previous improprieties, I would imagine she'll have to search well outside her district for a defense lawyer.

I have long admired Diana West. She is a patriot, tenacious, thorough and incredibly intelligent. Her latest book American Betrayal is my second favorite this year, coming in just behind Trevor Loudon’s The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress. But, I’m biased… full disclosure — I helped research and edit the book.

As someone who has researched communists and Progressives for years, I find Diana’s book to be truthful, factual and right on the mark. Frankly, it is a breath of fresh air and those attacking her work either do not know what they are talking about or have another agenda. We have been fighting a war with these Marxists in the US for one hundred years or better. They have infiltrated virtually every office of power, our educational institutions, the media and anywhere they can get a foothold. Behind much of this is Russia and China. The Cold War never ended, it simply shifted.

West’s book is a thoroughly researched, heavily footnoted work that unveils the approach to the Soviet Union by President Franklin Roosevelt and his associates. During this era, the infiltration by communists and Soviet agents was particularly heavy and aggressive. Their insinuation into our halls of power was aided and abetted by politicians that went out of their way to appease Russia, just as they are doing today with Islam.

Diana is not just attacked by the Left and the Marxists, there are many on the Right going after her… calling her a conspiracy theorist and a nut. How very Alinsky of them. Nothing could be further from the truth. Roosevelt was no paragon of virtue and I have been attacked for writing on him in the past. Facts are facts – Roosevelt was a Progressive plain and simple. West’s other crime was speaking kindly of Joe McCarthy. She is right once again. The only thing I will say on McCarthy is that he did not finish what he started. It’s like cockroaches – we did not get all the communists and now they have multiplied many times over. They’ve basically conducted a coup from within our government and are destroying our economy, our military, our very way of life, while coddling our enemies and assisting them in their evil strategies.

Washington DC and US politics has long been riddled with Marxists. They are the ultimate occupiers.

Stanton Evans did a fantastic review of Diana’s book. Far better than I ever could. Here is a taste (then go read the whole thing):

It is for instance abundantly plain, from multiple sources of Cold War intel, that Communist/pro-Soviet penetration of the government under FDR was massive, numbering in the many hundreds. These pro-Red incursions started in the New Deal era of the 1930s, then accelerated in the war years when the Soviets were our allies and safeguards against Communist infiltration were all but nonexistent. The scope of the problem was expressed as follows in an FBI report to Director J. Edgar Hoover:

“It has become increasingly clear… that there are a tremendous number of persons employed in the United States government who are Communists and who strive daily to advance the cause of Communism and destroy the foundations of this government. Today nearly every department or agency is infiltrated with them in varying degree.. To aggravate the situation, they appear to have concentrated most heavily in departments which make policy, or carry it into effect…”

Pro-Red penetration was especially heavy in such war-time agencies as the Office of Strategic Services and Office of War Information, which were thrown together in a hurry at the outset of the conflict, with little thought for anti-Communist security vetting. But the problem was acute also in old-line agencies such as the State and Treasury departments, both of which by war’s end were honeycombed with Soviet agents.( Making matters worse, anti-Soviet officials and diplomats were in the meantime being purged from their positions.)

As you can see, Diana’s research mirrors a lot of what we have been researching on KeyWiki.org and there is much more on these agencies and individuals in Trevor Loudon’s books.

American Betrayal is a must read. It will open your eyes and allow you to see what has happened in this country as never before. You will begin to understand how we got to where we are today, not only inclusive of communist infiltration and a Progressive/Marxist agenda, but the attempted invasion by Islam that is occurring everywhere you look. The enemies within here in the US might as well be Russian operatives. We are simply lousy in our agencies with spies from Russia and China and nary a word is said on this. Background checks? That’s for white Christians. Everyone else… come on in! Not only are they endangering our way of life, these Marxists are compromising our security and our position as a world power.

Read American Betrayal… it is real history and completely removes the politically correct makeup slap-dashed on Progressive leaders. The enemies within have indeed betrayed America. Simply one of my all time favorite books.

depended on you." Every great leader in American History was deeply attached to prayer. Just read the documents of our Founding Fathers with references to Our Creator as being the source of our inalienable rights. But unfortunately, many good people of faith look upon government in the same way they look upon God and this is envisioned as beholding to only the first half of St. Augustine's famous words. Substituting government for God as the source of our freedom and liberty leads to slavery. Pray as if everything depended on the government is the backbone of the welfare state. Work as if everything depended on you is the cornerstone of capitalism and free enterprise. When God is reinstated to a higher position than government then people will truly become free. When our great Republic was struggling to assert its independence Thomas Jefferson wrote: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Truly, Freedom isn't Free.

When a minister, priest or rabbi stresses that we should all pray as if everything depended on God and fails to include the second part of St. Augustine's advice, we mentally prepare ourselves for a time when all hope is lost and death becomes inevitable. Like the passengers on the Titanic in the moments before the ship sank, they flocked to the minister to pray. Had they also heeded the warnings of the crew and dressed warmly some could have survived the frigid water. How many clergy advise their flock to work as if everything depended on themselves, while still keeping an open thought to prayer? 

How many clergy will say, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition."? Shouldn't we begin to ask?

Looks like Karl Rove and his hamster brigade are on the march, threatening to “beat the snot” out of the Tea Party in the upcoming primaries. We’ll just see about that son.

Evidently, the wealthy Progressive elitists on the Right figure they can use money as a weapon and simply ‘out spend’ the Tea Party into oblivion. Instead of the old maxim that they will ‘breed us out,’ they are sticking to ‘spend us out.’ Someone should tell those boys that money can’t buy you love and their flagrant attempt at buying votes and elections will not be well-received by Americans.

The RINOs must be scared to death to launch a full head-on attack against a faction of their own party. Could it be the Marxist dinosaurs sense extinction bearing down on their fat heads? I think so. After the Tea Party winning resoundingly in 2010 and Tea Party warriors such as Sarah Palin, Allen West, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee started having political pull, the RINOs figured that the insurrection by the uppity Constitutionalists simply wouldn’t do. They needed to be put in their respective places, shut up and toe the party line. The Progressives on the Right want Revenge and it is a dish best served cold:

This will not be a coordinated operation. It will be messy, ugly, and prone to backfiring. And if the comeback succeeds, it will be in fits and starts, most likely culminating in the selection of a presidential nominee in 2016.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio, whose new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents. “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

(…)”This is a battle we have to fight,” said GOP consultant John Feehery, who has advised top Republican leaders on Capitol Hill. “We can’t just lie down and let this happen.”

He’s right about that, this is a battle we have to fight and it should have been fought long ago. The Progressives within the Republican Party needed to be kicked out. Time to clean house and return to the Constitutional principles that made this country great. A political earthquake is coming on both sides of the aisle and a shakeup in 2014 and 2016 will be jarring to say the least. As Obamacare bites, more and more Americans are going to realize just how much they have been screwed and boy, are they going to be pissed. Pissed enough to vote the Marxist bastards out, I would wager. They’ll be lucky if it only goes that far. People get testy when they are hungry and suffer under the boot of a tyrant.

So, Republican strategists, donors and party wonks are busily conspiring to run attack ads against Tea Party candidates for Congress. These same hacks want open primaries vs. state conventions and are taking on conservative groups such as FreedomWorks, The Heritage Foundation, the Senate Conservatives Fund, the Club for Growth and every Tea Party and 912 Project out there. What we have here now officially is one party — the Progressive Party vs. everyone else. The other party that is being borne out of this is the Tea Party which will replace the Republican Party from within. The patriots are itching for a coup that wrests control of the Party of Lincoln back into the hands of Constitutionalists from every walk of life. The Tea Party is mainstream – it is America. And as these RINOs spend their money and run their ads, they should remember one thing… Americans love a good fight and every evil occupation deserves a good resistance. I say tea all around.

Karl Rove has become a monster:

Another group targeting the Tea Party will be Karl Rove’s Conservative Victory Project, an arm of the Crossroads super PAC. They plan to vet GOP primary candidates with the goal of sending the most viable conservative to the general election.

He is the George Soros of the Right and needs to go away — seriously. He fancies himself the head of a Progressive Right mafia. But his deal is one we can totally refuse. Americans don’t like what they see in big business and big money trying to manipulate the masses into slavery. They are not falling for Amnesty for All or for the bigger is better government push by a bunch of political slum lords. Oh, but the Republican powers-that-be fear Ted Cruz:

Because efforts to roll the tea party typically provoke activists to roar back stronger than ever, the old guard is stumped in some instances. Ideally, the establishment would figure out a way to channel the movement’s passion into electoral victories in 2014 and 2016. But how do you control Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, the Republican ringleader of the shutdown, who may not count enough friends on Capitol Hill to rename a post office but whose real power comes from outside Washington?

That last sentence is music to my ears and Cruz’s real power does indeed lie with ordinary Americans. And that power will rise and restore America once again.

Either the Republicans will turn and get their act together or they will be the Whigs (they pretty much already are). Progressives on the Right who are declaring war on the Tea Party should think twice. Are they willing to lose it all? Constitutionalists are willing to fight and die for their freedom. Are you ready for a fight?

South Carolina Tea Party Coalition: The Tea Party movement may only be a few years old, but the beginning of the movement is often misunderstood and misreported. While the tea party is often portrayed as being purely an anti-Obama movement, the truth is that the Republican Party has always been as much a target as President Obama and his administration.

Creative ways the Democratic Party raises money for campaigns.

A few years ago it was revealed that several so-called "green energy" companies (see list below) that had received millions of dollars from the Obama administration, had also been big contributors to the Democratic Party before the companies went bankrupt. None of the taxpayer's money was ever recovered. This appears to be a very neat way for the Democrats to enrich their coffers with our money. Hand out loans, bailouts and huge contracts only to those companies that reciprocate with large political contributions. Now we read today about a Canadian company, CGI Group Inc. parent company of CGI Federal who was paid an estimated 800-million dollars to create the ObamaCare Healthcare.gov web site and the question comes up again. Did any corporate officers make contributions to Barack Hussein Obama, the Democratic National Committee or any other Democratic Party candidates?

Patrick Howley, writing today on the Daily Caller, says:
"George Schindler, the president for U.S. and Canada of the Canadian-based CGI Group, CGI Federal’s parent company, became an Obama 2012 campaign donor after his company gained the Obamacare website contract."

So now the information is beginning to leak out. Will there be more?

UPDATE #2: 10-26-2013
Rusty Weiss, writing on FreedomWorks, has another report about CGI Federal, which appears to be the Obama administration's favorite go-to company when big money is involved. CGI Federal was handed a non-competitive contract to dispense $1.7 Billion dollars to the victims of Hurricane Sandy out of a total of $60 Billion dollars allotted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Of course, most of the money never got delivered.  Wonder where it went?

"In the previous agenda topic, item four, CGI Federal is named "without competitive procedures" as the company that will implement the Disaster Housing Assistance Program."

"The company was also awarded the Healthcare.gov contract without competitive procedures. The company was granted these contracts in overseeing Sandy relief aid based on their ability "to rapidly deploy the program." "

As  Allison Coyle wrote on the Daily Caller on the same subject:

"CGI Federal Inc., the mastermind behind healthcare.gov, is assisting the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the distribution of $1.7 billion in relief for Hurricane Sandy."

"In a memo obtained by FreedomWorks titled, “Minutes of the 295th meeting of the members of the Housing Trust Fund Corporation held on May 9, 2013, at 8:30 a.m.,” CGI Federal is tasked with implementing the Disaster Housing Assistance Program. Additionally, they are asked to aid in the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, an assistance program that had recently obtained $1.7 billion."

The Associated Press revealed Tuesday that a mere $700 million of the $60 billion federal aid package – 1.2 percent of the total funds – has been given to victims of super storm Sandy.

Nearly a year after the devastating storm, a majority of the 24,000 families that have requested monetary assistance have yet to receive a penny from the federal aid package.

Obama's Administration invested taxpayer money in:

· Solyndra - Bankrupt

· Ener 1- Bankrupt

· Beacon Power - Bankrupt

· Abound Solar - Bankrupt

· Amonix Solar - Bankrupt

· Spectra Watt - Bankrupt

· Eastern Energy – Bankrupt

All of these bankrupt companies were also Obama Campaign contributors. Stupidity and corruption.

Here is a list of companies that the Obama administration has given money to:

1). Raser Technologies in 2010. Raser had only ten employees, yet they received $33 million to build a power plant. According to the Wall Street Journal the company FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY HEARING this year.

2). ECOtality in 2009 was given 126.2 million for installing 14,000 car charging stations in 5 states. The company has since incurred more than $45 million in losses, and the company is under investigation for insider trading.

4). First Solar was given $3 billion dollars for power plants in Arizona and California, and Business Week reported their stocks fell to a record low after reporting $401 million restructuring costs, and fired 30 percent of its workforce.

5). Abound Solar was given $ 400 million to build photo-voltaic panel factories. Forbes reported in February the company halted production and laid off 180 employees. In June of 2012, Abound went BANKRUPT.

6). Beacon Power was given $43 million even though Standard and Poor's had given the company a dismal outlook. Last fall the company received a de-listing from NASDAQ and has FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY!

7). SUNPOWER was given $1.2 billion and as of January owed more than it was worth.

8). BRIGHT SOURCE was given $1.6 billion and then posted a string of net losses totaling $177 million.

9). SOLYNDRA, a solar panel manufacture, was given $535 million and since then has gone BANKRUPT.

HERE IS WHAT IS MOST INTERESTING IN THIS ARTICLE BY THE LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR: "Of all these grants and loans 71 percent of the money went to "individuals who were bundlers", members of Obama's NATION FINANCE COMMITTEE, or large donors to the democratic Party".

TONOPAH SOLAR is run by Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law. This is what I meant when I said the tyrants were looting our Treasury. This bunch of Democrats in Washington have proven themselves to be the most corrupt gang of thieves  in American history.

 

How to make ObamaCare work - for the Republican Party

ObamaCare is the worst federal legislation in American history. It was created in secret and passed in the worst manner - in the middle of the night by lawmakers who had not even read the bill. It wasn't voted for by a single Republican, only the Democrat majority approved it. What it created was a government-run socialized medicine plan organized in the form of a ponzi scam. The costs of medical services for older people were to be paid for by the premiums of healthy young people who didn't need the plan. But worst of all was the insidious scheme to rob senior citizens of their Medicare to bolster the high costs for everyone else. The early rumors of the death panels, denied by the Democrats and the liberal news media, have turned out to be true. An unelected panel of bureaucrats will decide who among the sick will receive treatment and who will be denied.

The majority of Americans who were polled on ObamaCare have consistently been against it and only the Democrats have been supporting it; staking their reputations on its success. Conservative Republicans have led the charge against ObamaCare and only the RINOs, like John McCain and Mitch McConnell have helped keep it alive. One can only wonder why the Republicans haven't figured out a better strategy that can make ObamaCare work to their benefit. I have a better plan than they have.

1. Stop trying to delay it. ObamaCare is its own worst enemy. The sooner it is implemented the better.
2. Don't try to defund it or break it up with different effective dates for the Employer Mandate and the Individual Mandates. The sooner the full effect hits everyone the better.

The secret to making ObamaCare work for the Republican Party will be in the way the voters react to their experiences with it. When they get hit in their wallets with the astoundingly high deductibles and premiums and loss of preferred doctors and delayed treatment, they will be looking to take out their voter backlash anger on the people who created the mess in the next election - 2014. And that should leave the Democrats and the RINOs as the only people standing in the spotlight. If ObamaCare is delayed beyond the elections in 2014 it will only protect the Democrats. If the Democrats are sheltered by a delay in ObamaCare it will give them and their leftist co-conspirators in the news media the opportunity to blame the Republicans for the budget crisis and the government shutdown. In that case the Democrats might actually retake the majority in the House of Representatives.

The only thing the Republicans should do is remind the voters that this law was created by the Democrats and only the Democrats. It allowed employers to cut full-time working hours so they would not be required to provide healthcare for their part-time workers. It allowed exemptions to be granted to all the Democrat faithful as a reward for their loyalty. It is such a bad healthcare plan that the Democrat lawmakers didn't want to be covered by it and exempted themselves.

Obama's newest attack on our military: Humiliation and Ridicule.

Barack Hussein Obama hates our Armed Forces. He has ordered a change in the Rules of Engagement that forced soldiers on patrol to carry unloaded weapons. He ordered soldiers marching in his inauguration parade to carry rifles with the bolts removed. Was he afraid some of them would attempt to shoot him? Now he has attacked our finest and bravest Marine Corps by ordering a change in their uniforms to now wear "unisex" hats that have been described as "girly hats". Nothing can deter our bravest more than being subjected to humiliation and ridicule. From the New York Post:

A change to the Marine Corps' uniform hats could leave hard-nosed Leathernecks looking a lot less macho. 

According to the New York Post, President Obama's plan to create a "unisex" look for the Corps has officials on the verge of swapping out the Marines' iconic caps with a new hat that some have derided as so "girly" that they would make the French blush. 

"We don't even have enough funding to buy bullets, and the DoD is pushing to spend $8 million on covers that look like women's hats!" one senior Marine source fumed to The Post. "The Marines deserve better. It makes them look ridiculous."

Ridiculous isn't the word for it. Try effeminate. Try sissified.  Maybe he was inspired by his days hanging out in the gay Chicago bath houses. What more can this Democrat do to insult our country, order soldiers to wear underwear made from American flags?

The Looming Threat of Hyperinflation Approaches – Diversify Now

He has been a stable voice in the wilderness as the US rockets towards an impending financial catastrophe brought on by Progressive Marxists on both sides of the political aisle. This has been a long time coming. Our debt now is sooo massive, there is no way to avoid hyperinflation. Once interest rates inevitably rise, the deal is done. In an effort to share Rawles’ sage advice, I am cross-posting here what he shared this morning:

The recent political crisis over the delayed raising of the U.S. debt ceiling was just a precursor of a much larger crisis that will occur when interest rates inevitably rise. Once they do rise, it will become impossible for the Federal government to service its debt without massive monetization and concomitant mass inflation. There may also be some draconian stopgap measures such as levies on bank accounts (a.k.a. “bail ins”), nationalization of private pension funds, nationalization or forced common stock purchases for IRA and 401(k) plans, currency controls, bank holidays, bank withdrawal limits, currency recalls, limited access to safe deposit boxes, IRA and 401(k) withdrawals limits, and perhaps even another ban on privately held gold bullion.

For the past seven years I have urged my readers to diversify their investments out of U.S. Dollars and into tangibles. I am now repeating that with an even greater sense of urgency. It is high time to deliberately draw down you bank accounts and stop rolling over your CDs. I now urge my readers to gradually withdraw as much cash as you can, leaving only as much in your checking accounts as you need to pay your monthly expenses and to make your tax payments.

Beware of CTRs

If you have more than $10,000 in your account and you attempt withdraw it all at once, then by law your bank teller will fill out a Currency Transaction Report (CTR). These reports are available to the IRS and other government agencies. To avoid this, you need to gradually withdraw your cash, in unequal amounts, over a period of weeks or months. If you have a lot of cash to move, then one viable approach is to write checks to open bank accounts in other banking institutions, and then deliberately draw down those new accounts with numerous small cash withdrawals. (Less than $7,000 each.) According to Wikipedia, CTRs include “an optional checkbox at the top if the bank employee believes the transaction to be suspicious or fraudulent, commonly called a SAR, or Suspicious Activity Report.” If your bankers suspects that you are “structuring” withdrawals, then they will feel obliged to file a SAR.

What to do with the cash you withdraw:

1.) Get your beans, bullets and Band-Aids squared away. This should be your highest priority. Don’t consider “investing” in anything else until you get your key preparations established.

2.) Keep some greenback cash “mattress money” in small bills. If possible, keep enough cash for a couple of months worth of expenses. Again, keep it very well hidden at home, or bury it in waterproof containers.

3.) Only after accomplishing Steps 1 and 2, buy some physical silver. In the U.S., pre-1965 dimes, and quarters are the best choice. Keep your silver very well hidden at home, or bury it in waterproof containers. Make sure that you let a couple of trusted relatives know exactly where it is hidden, in case you might come to harm.

4.) Invest in some common caliber ammunition. Here is your shopping list, in a nutshell: Rifle: .30-06, .308 Win., 5.56 NATO, 5.45×39, 7.62×39, .30-30, and .22 LR. Pistol: .45 ACP, 9mm, .40 S&W., .357. 38 Special. Shotgun: 12 Gauge, 2-3/4″ length. (Buy a good mix of buckshot, slug and birdshot shotshells, with an emphasis on buckshot.)

5.) Invest in some good quality battle rifles, handguns, and full capacity magazines.

6.) Buy productive farm or ranch land (with good pasture and hay ground) that is in a viable retreat region.

7.) Invest in your education. That is the ultimate form of portable wealth. A second stream of income may become important in the coming years, so getting an education in a practical trade would be wise.

8.) If you have substantial liquid wealth (more than $500,000), then start shuttling some of it offshore. But because of the coming currency fluctuations, I recommend that the majority of that be stored offshore in physical precious metals. If you don’t already have a deeply trusted relationship with a family in your offshore host country (you should!), then you will have to trust a bank deposit box in your offshore host country.

9.) Buy a few books of “Forever” postage stamps. These may become useful for barter, as they will hold their value against inflation better than cash.

10.) Invest in a depression-proof business that is portable. (See the blog article links in my reply to these letters.)

11.) Build your personal reference library.

12.) If you are elderly, then invest in preparedness for your children and grandchildren. In the depths of the Second Great Depression, you won’t be able to count on the government to help you. But you can count on your close relatives.

What NOT to do with the cash you withdraw:

1.) Unless you are a multimillionaire, don’t buy large quantities of gold or gemstones. Not only is gold too compact a form of wealth for practical barter, but it is also far more likely to be confiscated than silver.

2.) Don’t build up your Bitcoin wallet balance above 15 BTC. Because Bitcoins are a synthetic currency and Internet-based, they are subject the whims of larcenous politicians. Bitcoin transactions can be tracked, because nearly every Bitcoin transaction has a corresponding e-mail trail. (And anyone who thinks that their e-mails are all “safely encrypted” is fooling themselves.)

3.) Don’t buy urban or suburban real estate.

4.) Don’t buy a second home in a “resort” area. As I’ve mentioned before in SurvivalBlog, resort areas will be targeted by looters in times of social chaos.

5.) Don’t invest in fine art, vintage wines, rare postage stamps, classic cars, or collectibles. Those will sell for just pennies on the dollar in the Depression. (If you want any of those, then wait for the opportunity to “buy low.”)

6.) Other than some home security webcams, a starlight scope, and a Dakota Alert passive IR intrusion detection system, don’t waste your money on electronic gadgets.

7.) Don’t invest in foreign currencies. There are no more “safe” currencies!

8.) Don’t invest in foreign stocks. Tangibles will trump, worldwide.

9.) Don’t over-prepare or over-invest in one area, at the expense of others. (For example, buying all guns and no storage food, or vice versa.) Balanced preparedness is the key!

Bottom line: The time for hesitation has passed. If you leave your liquid assets in a bank or in a savings and loan, then you are now a sitting duck.
