Joe Biden expresses his sense of dignity before an open microphone.

Before an assembled meeting of the White House press corps that had been called to proclaim their victory in the Socialized Medicine scam, Joe Biden introduced Barack Hussein Obama and then in full view of the audience and with an open microphone he says in Obama's ear, "This is a big fucking deal." Watch and listen to the video on this YouTube segment:

Is this a great embarrassment for America? Of course it is. Just as Obama's bowing before the heads of state of the countries he visited. Is it a great embarrassment for the Democrats? Not really, because they have no shame.

As a side note to this incident, Diane Sawyer from ABC News giggled when she heard it just like a little school girl. These professional journalists really know how to react to a story that happens right in front of them, don't they. Her reaction ranks along with the comment by Chris Mathews who said that, "Obama sends a tingle up my leg."

Monday, March 22, 2010

You cannot ever trust a Democrat to do the right thing.

Here is the complete list of every vote cast on the Marxist Barack Hussein Obama's Socialized Medicine health care bill. If you read this, print out the list and memorize the names of your local Congressional representative because these will be the people who must be thrown out of office in November if we ever wish to save our country. When this bill is signed into law it will set in motion a chain of events that will, in the next few years, bankrupt the United States economy and destroy the value of our currency. When the economy has been destroyed and a depression sweeps across the nation everything in America will only be worth pennies on the dollar. Then the enemies of America will have the opportunity to step in and buy us out at bargain basement prices.
The Democrats were told by their party leadership to support this bill even if it meant risking reelection but they have another sneaky plan to help them stay in office. They will grant citizenship to some 30-million illegal aliens and allow them to vote in November. You can be sure that there will be a huge block of appreciative votes when that happens.
The affect that is about to take place on our present health care system will have unprecedented consequences. Cuts in Medicare payments to doctors will result in many of them quitting the field of medicine causing a rationing of services. As in other countries who have socialized medicine, available treatment will be decided based upon the productive usefulness to society of the recipient. Older people will have to wait unconscionably long for basic care if they are to receive it at all. Try to explain to your parents and grandparents why there will be a 500-billion dollar cut in their Medicare Advantage health care plans. No one knows how soon that will kick in because the sympathetic leftist news media hasn't looked into it yet.
You can be sure of something else if the Democrats maintain control over the government, with this federally controlled health care system, some citizens will be treated better than others. Just as the federal stimulus package was used to grant funds for areas of the country that produced the greatest number of Democrat votes, (sorry that the news media didn't tell you that) you may find that which political party you belong to will determine what level of medical treatment you receive. Just as in the famous story Animal Farm, when the pigs took over the first rule they proclaimed was: "All animals are created equal but some animals are more equal than others."
One thing for sure is that we all know now that you cannot ever trust a Democrat. This Socialized Medicine plan squeaked through by the slimmest of margins with only 3 votes more than the bare minimum needed to pass. So it came down to that handful of conservative (I wretch at calling them that) Blue-Dog Democrats to help the ultra-left liberals take over 20% of the U.S. economy. Those so-called Blue-Dog pro-life Democrats who switched their opposition to the bill in exchange for a promise of getting an Executive Order to prevent federal funds from paying for abortions - well these people haven't the intelligence to recognize that the promise isn't worth the paper it will be written on.

Is Islam actually compatible with any culture?

In a previous blog titled:Just how incompatible is Islam with Western culture? I wrote about a story that appeared in the London Telegraph newspaper Female Muslim medics 'disobey hygiene rules' that reported how so-called rules of modesty in the Koran prevented Muslim women in the field of medicine from baring their arms for pre-scrubbing before performing surgery. Now comes a story from Canada's National Post about a Muslim beauty contestant who plans to cover up her appearance in the bathing suit segment by wearing a Sari over her swimsuit. I cannot but wonder why this woman would enter a beauty contest at all if she is that concerned over her modesty.
Yemeni entrant to cover up her swimsuit
Beauty Pageant
Mary Vallis, National Post
Thursday, Mar. 18, 2010
A Yemeni Canadian will compete in the Miss Universe Canada beauty pageant for the first time, wearing a sari over her bathing suit to avoid offence.
The press release issued by Maria Al-Masani's company about her participation contained a scant three paragraphs. In it, she refers to herself as "a documented direct descendent of Prophet Mohammed."
"Yemen is a conservative Islamic country better known for the underwear bomber," the release notes. It also quotes Ms. Al-Masani: "I grew up wearing a niqab, watching Miss Universe on TV," she says. "I love breaking stereotypes!"
The story behind Ms. Al-Masani, however, is more nuanced than that. The contestant runs her own public relations company in Ottawa and originally applied to Miss Universe Canada as a joke. Her friends call her a "Political Econo-Nerd," she said during an interview yesterday. She peppered the pageant application with references to Derrida, Nietzsche and Kant.
Born in Russia, Ms. Al-Masani's family moved to Yemen when she was four years old. She left when she was 16; she stopped wearing a niqab then, saying the facial covering is "un-Islamic." Her studies eventually brought her to Ottawa and Carleton University, where she fell in love with Canada.
Rather than wear a bikini for the pageant's swimsuit segment, Ms. Al-Masani, a Sufi Muslim, plans to cover her body with a sari for cultural reasons. The judges will not dock her points for her choice, she said.
"There's no way as a Yemeni that I would ever, ever walk in front of cameras in a bikini," said Ms. Al-Masani, 25. "I'd rather be caught dead."
Beauty and talent competitions are often controversial in countries with high Muslim populations. In 2002, the Miss World competition was moved to London from Nigeria "for the sake of the nation," after more than 100 people died in sectarian violence. The riots continued.
And last year, a female contestant in Afghanistan's version of American Idol attracted criticism from conservatives, who argued she was having a negative influence on the country's girls. Her family went underground after they received death threats.
As word of Ms. Al-Masani's participation in Miss Universe Canada reached Yemenis in Canada yesterday, it shocked people in both good and bad ways, said Ahmed Al-Awah, head of the Yemeni-Canadian Relations Council. For traditional Yemenis, the pageant "doesn't represent ... the tradition of Yemeni society," Mr. Al-Awah said from Calgary.
"Personally, I enjoy that we have Yemeni representation," he said. "The Yemeni-Canadian population hasn't been as active as it can be in Canadian society -- especially recently, after the Nigerian bomber Christmas Day attacks."
Events like this will help engage the Yemeni-Canadian community with the public sphere, Mr. Al-Awah explained.
"It's her choice. Why not?" said Alia Hogben, executive director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women. "She's making a choice, and it's a brave one, in many ways."
Ms. Al-Masani hopes to use the pageant to promote her work building a hospital for women in Somalia and how alternative dispute resolution can be applied to international conflicts.
She also hopes her participation in the pageant will help her convince a teenaged niece in Russia to continue with her studies. "Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan -- those are the role models my niece looks up to. Women in Hollywood don't go for university."
Miss Universe Canada will be held in Toronto in June.

House Democrats commit mass suicide. Vote to bypass the Constitutuion

The Hill web site:
Dems defeat GOP effort to force separate vote on Senate health bill
By Michael O'Brien - 03/18/10 02:28 PM ET
Democrats shot down a Republican effort to force an up-or-down vote on the Senate healthcare bill on Thursday afternoon.
In a 222-203 vote, Democrats beat back a GOP resolution offered by Democrat-turned-Republican Rep. Parker Griffith (Ala.) that would have forced lawmakers to vote on the Senate healthcare bill separately from the series of fixes they hope to make to that legislation.

All Republican lawmakers who voted opposed the measure, which had the effect of ending the GOP's effort to force a vote. They were joined by 28 Democrats, who broke with party members on the vote.

222 Democrats supported the measure, though, meaning enough to proceed. Three members of both parties did not vote.

The story of The Ant and The Grasshopper

This one is a little different. Two Different Versions. Two Different Morals

OLD VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away..

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

________________________________

MODERN VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green....'

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, “We shall overcome.” Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Barack Hussein Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

Media hypocrites spread lies again about favorite leftist Obama

In a copyrighted story on the front page of today's Kentucky Enquirer headlined Obama praised for gov't openness Gannett News Service reporter Chuck Raasch writes:
WASHINGTON — At a time when the Obama administration is struggling to move forward with major policy initiatives affecting health care, energy and banking, it is getting high marks for progress in one area: government transparency.
However, federal agencies are getting mixed reviews on how well they are following the president's order to deliver "a new era of open government."
The liberals are still in protective mode doing everything possible to cover up the lies and false promises made by Barack Hussein Obama. Typical of the tactics of the Chicago political machine, Obama said and did whatever was necessary to fool the voting public in order to get elected and the left-wing news media aided and abetted his efforts throughout his campaign.
Now, one news reporter, CNN anchor, Jack Cafferty, apparently has had enough. Cafferty publicly bashed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and our Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama for their lies and deception. It sure as hell is about time.

Maybe Jack Cafferty is having trouble with his conscience, but that is something that is not allowed when you work for the Mainstream Media. Twisting, bending and ignoring the TRUTH is too much of a daily routine in the media today. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they even teach it in Journalism classes in college. Now, if only we could get them to tell the truth about Socialized Medicine and the Obama healthcare bill.

DOJ confirms status of CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator of HAMAS

Bare Naked Islam has revealed that the U.S. Department of Justice confirms that CAIR the Council on American Islamic Relations is an unindicted co-conspirator and affiliate of terrorist group HAMAS.
Terrorist Front Group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) has been passing itself off as a Muslim civil rights group, supported by many congressmen and senators. But thanks to the demands of 4 courageous congresspeople, headed up by Rep. Sue Myrick, CAIR’s terrorist associations have now been affirmed by the DOJ.
There’s another letter circulating on Capitol Hill affirming federal law enforcement’s belief that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is the product of a Hamas-support network in the United States.
Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich sent the letter last month to four members of Congress who asked for details last fall on how CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror-finance trial against the Holy Land Foundation and its former officials.
He included trial transcripts and exhibits “which demonstrated a relationship among CAIR, individual CAIR founders, and the Palestine Committee. Evidence was also introduced that demonstrated a relationship between the Palestine Committee and HAMAS, which was designated as a terrorist organization in 1995.”
Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, and trial exhibits show the Brotherhood created the Palestine Committee. CAIR officials adamantly deny any involvement with either Hamas or the Muslim Brotherhood. The Weich letter, however, shows that the Department of Justice has not wavered in its conclusion that the internal records it possesses prove a connection.

It echoes a letter last spring from an FBI congressional liaison explaining why Bureau policy bars communication with CAIR outside of a criminal investigation. In that letter, Richard C. Powers, an assistant director in the FBI’s office of Congressional Affairs, said evidence “demonstrated a relationship among CAIR, individual CAIR founders (including its current President Emeritus and its Executive Director) and the Palestine Committee.”
Other exhibits showed that the Palestine Committee was a fundraising and propaganda arm in the United States for Hamas, which has been a designated terrorist organization since 1995. “[U]ntil we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS,” Powers wrote, “the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner.”
Weich’s letter to U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick and her colleagues points to two excerpts of trial testimony from FBI Special Agent Lara Burns. Both deal with conversations leading up to CAIR’s original formation.
In one, she reads from transcripts from a secret 1993 gathering of Hamas supporters in Philadelphia where the group talks of creating a new organization with a fairly innocuous sounding name. She read comments from Holy Land Foundation President Shukri Abu Baker explain the new entity should present a benign face compared to existing Islamist groups:
“And let’s not hoist a large Islamic flag, and let’s not be barbaric-talking. We will remain a front so that if the thing happens, we will benefit from the new happenings instead of having all of our organizations classified and exposed.”
In the other, Burns describes an exhibit which shows CAIR listed on a Palestine Committee agenda within weeks of its 1994 creation. In response to a question from federal prosecutor Barry Jonas, Burns said it was the first time CAIR’s name appeared in internal Palestine Committee records seized by the FBI:
A. It did not exist prior to the Philadelphia meeting.
Q. So it came into being after Philadelphia?
A. That is correct.

After a 2007 trial ended with a deadlocked jury, a 2008 retrial resulted in guilty verdicts on 108 counts. CAIR petitioned the Dallas court presiding over the Holy Land trial to be removed from the co-conspirator list. Their complaint emphasized the unusual nature of making public the names of the unindicted co-conspirators and claimed the move unfairly tarnished CAIR’s reputation. That request was denied last summer.
Weich’s letter concludes by noting U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick requested “an investigation into the possible illegalities of CAIR,” saying it was passed along to “appropriate FBI entities.” Recent filings in a civil case involving CAIR indicate that a federal grand jury investigation is looking at the organization’s ties to Hamas.  H/T INVESTIGATIVE PROJECT

Just how incompatible is Islam with Western culture?

Standard sanitary procedures in every medical facility in the United States and elsewhere in every civilized culture in the world, calls for doctors to scrub up before performing any surgery. We have all witnessed this in countless medical dramas. But what happens when this very procedure is deemed a violation of someone's religion? How asinine can someone be to claim that female medical students who happen to be Muslims find it "immodest" to expose their arms for cleaning? Read what has been reported in the following two stories from Great Britain in the London Telegraph.
Muslim medical students are refusing to obey hygiene rules brought in to stop the spread of deadly superbugs, because they say it is against their religion.

Women training in several hospitals in England have raised objections to removing their arm coverings in theatre and to rolling up their sleeves when washing their hands, because it is regarded as immodest in Islam.

Universities and NHS trusts fear many more will refuse to co-operate with new Department of Health guidance, introduced this month, which stipulates that all doctors must be "bare below the elbow".
The measure is deemed necessary to stop the spread of infections such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile, which have killed hundreds.

Minutes of a clinical academics' meeting at Liverpool University revealed that female Muslim students at Alder Hey children's hospital had objected to rolling up their sleeves to wear gowns.

Similar concerns have been raised at Leicester University. Minutes from a medical school committee said that "a number of Muslim females had difficulty in complying with the procedures to roll up sleeves to the elbow for appropriate handwashing".

Sheffield University also reported a case of a Muslim medic who refused to "scrub" as this left her forearms exposed.

Documents from Birmingham University reveal that some students would prefer to quit the course rather than expose their arms, and warn that it could leave trusts open to legal action.

Hygiene experts said last night that no exceptions should be made on religious grounds.

Dr Mark Enright, professor of microbiology at Imperial College London, said: "To wash your hands properly, and reduce the risks of MRSA and C.difficile, you have to be able to wash the whole area around the wrist.

"I don't think it would be right to make an exemption for people on any grounds. The policy of bare below the elbows has to be applied universally."

Dr Charles Tannock, a Conservative MEP and former hospital consultant, said: "These students are being trained using taxpayers' money and they have a duty of care to their patients not to put their health at risk.

"Perhaps these women should not be choosing medicine as a career if they feel unable to abide by the guidelines that everyone else has to follow."

But the Islamic Medical Association insisted that covering all the body in public, except the face and hands, was a basic tenet of Islam.

"No practising Muslim woman - doctor, medical student, nurse or patient - should be forced to bare her arms below the elbow," it said.

Dr Majid Katme, the association spokesman, said: "Exposed arms can pick up germs and there is a lot of evidence to suggest skin is safer to the patient if covered. One idea might be to produce long, sterile, disposable gloves which go up to the elbows."
Muslim radiographer loses job after refusing to bare her arms

A Muslim woman was forced out of her job at a hospital after refusing to bare her arms in order to comply with new hygiene rules.

The radiographer was told by managers at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading that she must either follow the national dress code designed to combat superbugs and roll her sleeves up, or leave.
She refused to abide by the rules and left her job, claiming she was discriminated against and forced to choose between her religious beliefs and her livelihood. Islam teaches that women should dress modestly and cover their bodies while in public.
The woman, who has worked as a therapeutic radiographer for 10 years, has described her situation as a "continuous nightmare" and says she has been "emotionally torn about" over losing her job.
She said that she fears she may not be able to get another job, but has vowed to campaign against the NHS's "bare below the elbows" policy.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she wants to "prevent the policy from being universally applied, so other Muslim women do not experience the same trauma."
Amid growing concern about the number of patients catching superbugs such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile while in hospital, the NHS introduced a new dress code for staff in January that was designed to prevent them transmitting bacteria.
The rules require all doctors and nurses who come into contact with patients to have their arms bare below the elbows, by wearing short-sleeved clothes or rolling up their sleeves. Jewellery, watches and false nails were also banned to reduce the risk of infection by staff.
However the policy was criticised by some Muslim doctors and medical students for going against the teachings of the Qu'ran on dress.
In the latest case, the radiographer was employed by an agency to work at the Royal Berkshire on June 16 this year and was told about the dress code.
The hospital claims she initially complied with it and said it was "surprised" when weeks later she told managers that she could not abide by with the rules.
After a meeting with her bosses on August 1 she was given an ultimatum and chose to leave her post.
Clare Edmondson, Director of Human Resources for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, said: "When she voiced her objection, she accepted the opportunity to meet with the Trust Chaplain and we also offered her the opportunity to meet with an Imam to discuss her concerns, but this was declined.
"The Trust Chaplain and Imam both stand behind our 'bare below the elbows policy' and support the Trust in this instance, they do not cite any diversity issue and agree that the policy is an acceptable professional requirement for everyone who works for the Trust in clinical areas."
Dr Majid Katme, spokesman for the Islamic Medical Association, said: "Any practising Muslim woman should have the right to cover her arms, as long as her job doesn't jeopardise the care of the patient.
"What's the harm in somebody in her position covering their arms, as people in radiography have done for some time?"
