Pamela Geller, who was awarded last year by the Freedom Center for her courage in the war against tyranny, is the target of a $10 million intimidation lawsuit designed to silence, once and for all, one of America's most vibrant voices speaking out in defense of the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people.

In July 2009, a seventeen-year-old girl named Rifqa Bary ran away from her home in Ohio, saying that her father threatened to kill her upon discovering that she had converted from Islam to Christianity. There followed a bitter custody battle: Rifqa fought hard to stay out of her parents' home while the Islamic supremacists such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) did all they could to force her to go back. Due in large part to Pamela Geller's efforts, the Islamic supremacists lost, and Rifqa remained free and able to exercise her freedom of conscience. But now the losers are determined to exact revenge upon the freedom fighter who protected Rifqa from harm.
Omar Tarazi, the lawyer for the parents of Rifqa Bary, is suing Pamela for ten million dollars for libel, for things she wrote in good faith about the case at her acclaimed and award-winning blog AtlasShrugs.com. The great lawyer David Yerushalmi is representing Pamela Geller in this frivolous lawsuit, and he is generously donating his time and expertise pro bono. Nonetheless, Pamela's ancillary legal expenses relating to this suit are spiraling. The Freedom Center has offered to help raise the funds needed for her legal defense. That means we need to raise a minimum of $30,000 in the next 48 hours to cover the first set of legal fees. Will you help us?

The Left and its Islamic supremacist allies are waging a full-throttle campaign against the freedom of speech. Beware of Rick Perry, a counterfeit conservative from Texas.
Like a lot of other patriotic Christians whenever I hear an elected official mention the name of Jesus Christ or God in a public speech I begin to have admiration for them. Last week when Texas Governor Rick Perry announced his candidacy for president I started thinking about my dream team for the Republican Party ticket next year. Any combination of Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin or Allen West seemed like a sure thing. I admit that I knew little about the governor from Texas except that he has gotten a lot of praise in conservative publications in the last few years. Then I read today a commentary by Steve Baldwin on WorldNet that yanked open my eyes. 10 questions Rick Perry must answer is one commentary that every Republican needs to read.
Every one of these questions opens up a serious dialog on the genuine conservative credentials of this politician. For instance, why has it never been mentioned before that - Gov. Perry did not become a Republican until 1989 and served as Texas chairman of Al Gore's presidential campaign in 1988 – as Steve Baldwin asks in question #3? Or that Rick Perry joined the elitist Bilderberg group in 2007. Steve Baldwin correctly describes the Bilderbergs as: “The Bilderberg group is a secret society composed of hundreds of the world's most powerful elites, most of whom are hostile to the notion of sovereignty and support world government to varying degrees. They are strong supporters of the U.N., EU, and other one-world entities. Invitations are only extended to people who share their views.” I know this is fact because I have read about them decades ago and their secret annual gatherings promoting One World Government.
But then we all know that most of what we read comes from the liberal controlled news media and they were responsible for resurrecting the dying primary campaign of RINO Sen. John McCain because he was the weakest Republican and stood the best chance of losing. We have seen the hatchet job the mainstream news media did on Sarah Palin and is now doing on Michele Bachmann so it is not surprising to find out they may be protecting the sordid reputation of Rick Perry. The liberal news media pulled the rug out from under McCain after he won the Republican nomination and could easily do the same with Gov. Rick Perry if his popularity began to jeopardize their anointed Barack Hussein Obama.
As if this wasn’t enough, the Baldwin commentary adds two more significant questions that convince me that Rick Perry is a counterfeit conservative. Rick Perry favors the government right to confiscate private land. Question 8) “Gov. Perry vetoed an eminent-domain bill that would have helped protect property rights for Texas landowners.” And Question 9) "Gov. Perry signed a hate-crimes bill." The Federal version of the Hate Crime bill grants protected legitimate status to over 500 deviant lifestyles to such a degree it was labeled the Pedophile Protection Act. An open letter to the group "Mom's Like Me" and parents everywhere.
You should be aware that conservative groups waged a tremendous battle months ago against a new law they had called The Pedophile Protection Act which gave official Federal recognition to every deviant lifestyle. The American Family Association said since "sexual orientation" nowhere is defined in the law, "this law will give pedophiles, voyeurs, and exhibitionists special protections, which is why the bill has correctly been called 'The Pedophile Protection Act.'"
In the House version, an effort to amend the bill to exclude “pedophilia” was defeated in committee along party lines. Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL), when confronted with a list of 547 paraphilias from the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, including pedophilia, declared that “all of these philias and fetishes and isms that were put forward – need not live in fear because of who they are.”
Following the passage of the original Hate Crimes Prevention Act (HR 1913) a storm of protest caused the U.S. Senate to delay a vote because it would not have passed. But a Democrat took the House bill and added it to a National Defense Authorization Act as an amendment and it was passed on July 23 and signed into law.
Any one of these 10 questions is enough to raise concern and I am forever grateful that Steve Baldwin has brought these issues about Gov. Rick Perry to my attention. The Texas governor has no chance of winning any votes from those who consider themselves to be true conservatives. If we are going to win back America from the clutches of the Democratic Socialists who are raping our economy and plundering our treasury and trashing our Bill of Rights, we need candidates with true character and solid principles. My hope still rests with Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin.
Hollywood Leftists, Kooks and Communists gearing up to promote Obama 2012 campaign.

It is inconceivable that some people could believe that anything that comes out of tinsel town could be real but the thought scares me to death.

While AIM’s focus has primarily been bias in the news media, bias in the entertainment industry has been just as bad, and in some cases even worse. There is no equivalent of Fox News or talk radio when it comes to the television entertainment and film industries. Conservatives have nowhere to turn, so it largely becomes a game of spotting the left-wing messages embedded in the programming. It’s generally quite easy to do.
In my recent interview with Ben Shapiro, author of the outstanding new book, Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How The Left Took Over Your TV, we discussed the likelihood of concerted Hollywood efforts to help Barack Obama win reelection next year. He said he “would be shocked if Hollywood does not bring out either a TV movie or a different movie right before the election cycle. Probably they’ll bring out two movies. One will be about Barack Obama and the death of bin Laden, and the other will be about whoever the Republican candidate is, some back-story. Whether Palin or Perry, it’s going to be something that paints Republicans as bad guys, or as obstructionists… They will bring out something, right before the election, in an attempt to influence it. They’ve done it before.”
At the time of the interview, one such movie had been announced, but not the timing of the release. That has now been confirmed, thanks to The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd, who wrote about the Obama administration’s cooperation with the team that created last year’s “The Hurt Locker,” which won six Academy Awards. According to Dowd, “The White House is also counting on the Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal big-screen version of the killing of Bin Laden to counter Obama’s growing reputation as ineffectual. The Sony film by the Oscar-winning pair who made ‘The Hurt Locker’ will no doubt reflect the president’s cool, gutsy decision against shaky odds. Just as Obamaland was hoping, the movie is scheduled to open on Oct. 12, 2012 — perfectly timed to give a home-stretch boost to a campaign that has grown tougher.
“The moviemakers are getting top-level access to the most classified mission in history from an administration that has tried to throw more people in jail for leaking classified information than the Bush administration.
“It was clear that the White House had outsourced the job of manning up the president’s image to Hollywood when Boal got welcomed to the upper echelons of the White House and the Pentagon and showed up recently — to the surprise of some military officers — at a C.I.A. ceremony celebrating the hero Seals.”
This had to sting at the White House, coming from the usually reliable Dowd. In response, Bigelow and Boal have issued a statement that there is no political agenda at work. But in response to that, Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood has called on them to prove it, by delaying the release date until well after the election, so even the promotion of the film does not come at a time when it might be thought of as promoting Obama’s reelection.
The interview with Ben Shapiro was primarily about the TV entertainment industry, and how it came to be the purveyor of left-wing values and propaganda that is so obvious to most viewers, even those sympathetic to such views. Shapiro talked to many Hollywood producers, and received surprisingly candid acknowledgments of their clearly intended bias. Their agenda isn’t limited to including political and social views that they hold dearly, but also excluding storylines and views that are, shall we say, conservative, politically speaking.
Below, in italics, are excerpts from my interview with Ben Shapiro. You can listen to the entire interview or read the transcript here.
My approach was pretty simple. It was, “Get into the door with these people, and talk to them.” That’s what distinguishes Primetime Propaganda from any other book that’s ever been written on TV—I actually went and spoke with the people who are involved in the making of these shows. I asked them, “What did you mean when you made the show? What was your political intent here? What were you trying to do?” They were kind enough to have me there, and to answer the questions. Now, they probably did that because they were stereotyping me—my last name is Shapiro, I went to Harvard Law School, I live in Los Angeles, I have parents who work in Hollywood—as you said, there’s a really good shot that I’d be a liberal.
Creators tended to be very much to the Left, because they were drawn from vaudeville, the heavily socialist-influenced Jewish vaudeville and radio community. After World War II and the rise of TV, there is that major split—the creators who are Lefties, and the executives who are more Right-leaning.
…the TV industry continues to be based on the weird notion that young people are worth more, and if young people are worth more, you have to target them, young people happen to be liberal, the programming is liberal—and therefore they now have a market justification for what they wanted to do all along, which is to shove their politics down the throats of Americans.
To me, the single greatest indicator of the power of television is the rise of the gay marriage movement. 40 years ago, even 30 years ago, who would have thought that we’d be sitting here debating whether gay marriage was inevitable? It wouldn’t have even occurred to us.
What is effective is one of the tactics they’ll use in The Good Wife a lot where it’s always the corporate guy who’s the bad guy, the rich white guy. Law & Order does this all the time. Everybody who is bad on that show is an upper class white person. Everybody who is virtuous on that show is a victimized minority. That is something that they love to do, and that has a long term impact. It means that people hate corporations. It means people hate businessmen. It means that people tend to think that anybody who has made a lot of money in this country got it by being absolutely corrupt. That does have a tremendous impact on our debate.
The same people who are overseeing the news production are overseeing everything else. Jeff Zucker—who was offered the position of press secretary in Al Gore’s administration in 2000, if Al Gore had won—started off running The Today Show, and he ended up rising up to be the head of the network. Well, when he’s head of the network he’s running both the news division—with, at that point, it would have been Katie Couric, I think—and at the same time he’s running the entertainment division. So the same people are making all the decisions as far as programming and as far as bias. It’s no surprise that, if you have the same people running the news as running the entertainment, they all tend to reflect the same values.
In 1984 there was a TV movie you may remember, The Day After. That movie was the highest rated TV movie of all time when it came out. What it was was the effects of nuclear war. What happens if there is a nuclear war between the Soviets and the United States? It shows the impact: Everybody dies. Everybody has cancer. Everybody’s skin is flaking off. It was really graphic and gruesome and lovely. And the director of that movie, Nick Meyer, he said to me that the whole goal of that movie, to him, was to prevent Ronald Reagan’s reelection. Now that is an in kind contribution—there’s no doubt about it.
Oprah was probably the single greatest factor in getting Obama elected. She had a tremendous impact. She has millions and millions of followers. She is a black woman who is non-threatening to white people. She basically said “Obama’s like me.”
It was a very Hollywood-produced campaign. I mean, he had Davis Guggenheim doing all of his campaign videos, he had George Clooney giving him political and image advice, and people in TV and movies were donating tremendous amounts of cash to the Obama campaign. Then they were going out in their shows and they were doing things—like in Family Guy, there’s an episode where Stewie, who’s the baby, and Brian, who’s the dog, travel back in time to Nazi Germany. They kill a Nazi, and it turns out that on the Nazi’s lapel is a Palin-McCain sticker. That kind of stuff happened pretty commonly during the 2008 election. So they bring out as many forces as they can muster. I don’t think it’s going to work quite as well this time—because now President Obama has an egregiously horrible record…
Hollywood gets all sorts of tax benefits from different states. They get all sorts of tax benefits from the federal government… If you look at Hollywood and its production facilities, they’ve been moving out of the country largely in order to avoid tax consequences. They’ve been moving to Vancouver for a while, they’re moving to Europe. Now they’re moving to different states that are offering them tax incentives.
[Obama] went to the head of GE, Jeff Immelt, he went to Bob Iger over at Disney, which owns ABC, and at CBS he went directly to Les Moonves, who’s the head of CBS, Viacom. And he asked them—all three of whom, by the way, are major Obama donors—politely, supposedly, “Will you please put me on TV?” And they did. They put him on, and they got horrible ratings. So You Think You Can Dance—a rerun—won the night, with an eleven share or something. So, all well and good, President Obama levers his power in order to get what he needs done. Except there’s one problem: There’s a kickback. About a week later The New York Times reports that President Obama has come to an agreement with the pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical industry is now going to endorse President Obama’s Obamacare bill, and he’s going to cap their liability at $80 billion over the next ten years. Well, buried in that story is a nice little kind of gem which is, as part of the deal, the pharmaceutical industry has to commit to spending $150 million on television advertising in favor of Obamacare. So that was the back scratch. He went to the networks and he said, “You need to put me on. Don’t worry, I’ll make the money up for you. I will use my power to get you your money.” Then he went to the pharmaceutical companies and he basically blackmailed them. He said, “I’ll limit your liability, but in order for me to do that you’re going to have to spend a bunch of money on my friends over here.” That’s the way that’s the way the Hollywood-D.C. back scratch works.
In terms of in terms of The Today Show, no, they didn’t have me on. The View was considering it, didn’t have me on. They don’t want to have me on because I have tape. I have the goods. When they have on conservatives it’s usually so that they can, you know, bash them around a little bit… So in terms of the mainstream media coverage, there was virtually none. It was all talk radio, Fox News, and maybe The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. The European press, by the way, did a very good job of covering it.
When conservatives make entertainment, we need to be great at it. We really cannot go off half-cocked. We can’t do it in a really mediocre way. Unfortunately, a lot of the conservative entertainment actually is underfunded. It’s not done very well, it’s not made by professionals, it’s not written by professionals, and it either looks shoddy, or it’s acted shoddily, or it reads shoddy… But I have yet to see the conservative movement put the kind of money and effort into entertainment necessary to make it really great, and that’s a blemish on our record. Because if conservatives don’t take entertainment seriously, then we’ve lost this battle.

Bankrupting America: Are Democrats and RINOs planning for a liquidation sale.
Scary title. Well, Yes it is, because it could be true. America has come to the brink of being bankrupt thanks to the tax and spend Democrats and RINOs (liberal Republicans) who have taxed Americans and American business to death and squandered the proceeds. And what happens afterward if no one steps in to help us out is called a liquidation sale. Relating the business way of dealing with bankruptcy to an entire country is unpredictable because no one can actually buy a entire country but they can buy up huge chunks of it. The National Parks, the Interstate Highway system, the United States Forest Service, the United States Bureau of Reclamation, Tennessee Valley Authority, all of the land owned by the Federal government. Take a look at this map showing the extent of land owned and controlled by the Federal government:
Imagine it being sold to the highest bidder. Imagine the bankruptcy being a planned, intentional act. And as long as Barack Hussein Obama is in the White House and the Democrats control half the Congress, as long as liberal RINOs vote with them, it doesn't look like help is coming. And who may profit from such a liquidation sale? Billionaires like George Soros who is a major supporter of liberal Democrats and RINOs.

How did America get this way? Step back 10 years and read the following column written by Charlie Reese of the Orlando Sentinel as he explains how the problem was created. I got this in an email today but this has been around the Internet for several years. That doesn't change one bit of the truth and makes it even more important to keep spreading the word because of the crucial, life or death elections coming up in 2012. It is obvious no one paid any attention to this wisdom until the TEA Party exploded on the national scene last year and the news media couldn't bury the story. Thanks to people like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann we took back control of the House but we fell short of control of the Senate. Next year we can do better and we can put that Marxist/Socialist POS community organizer currently in the White House out of business.
545 vs 300,000,000 People By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician millions of dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. The Speaker of the House (the leader of the majority party) and his/her fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Army and Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...
They receive social security and are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insolvable government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
These 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

ABC News reporter Christiane Amanpour receives great joy every time she looks at painting of burning World Trade Center towers.
I couldn't believe this story when I first read it on the Australian web site Winds of Jihad so I checked the reference link back to The New York Times' web site and confirmed it. In February 2010 The New York Times did a puff piece, as liberals are always doing when they compliment each other, on Christiane Amanpour, a reporter then working at CNN, often called the Communist News Network for its leftist slant. In this piece Amanpour lists some 34 different opinions on various things like the worst place she's been and her early CNN memories. But the one thing that jumps right off the page is item 12 on her list:
12. Favorite Item in the Apartment: A massive painting that I got in Iran, a few years ago, by Farideh Lashai, a friend who is also Iran’s pre-eminent abstract-expressionist painter. It gives me joy every time I walk in my door.
And the New York Times web page has a photo of Christiane Amanpour standing in front of that massive painting that gives her so much joy. And what is that painting? It is, in my opinion, the World Trade Center towers lit up in fire and smoke on that terrible morning on September 11, 2001 when Muslim terrorists hijacked two commercial airliners and flew them into the buildings. Here is the photo. To be perfectly honest, the Times story does not describe the painting as I have so maybe it represents something else. It is supposed to be an "impressionist" painting so maybe it is whatever your impression of it is. You can be the judge of that.
I had an after thought about the above painting so I just searched Google images for other paintings by Farideh Lashai the Iranian artist and found this one posted on Free Republic with the comment that the artist titled it as an abstract of a tree. This sort of abstract is freaking too close for comfort. I think the artist may be having subconscious thoughts.
Christiane Amanpour has never confirmed where she was born and according to her biography on Wikipedia she was born in Tehran, Iran according to some sources and in London, England, according to others. Amanpour was born to her Iranian father Mohammad, an airline executive, and her British mother, Patricia.
Amanpour has been criticized by the conservative Media Research Center for some of her favorable remarks about Democratic politicians. In 1999, she said the following to then First Lady Hillary Clinton:"A lot of the women that I meet from traveling overseas are very impressed by you and admire your dignity."
Amanpour defended President Barack Obama against criticism over his being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 2009:
"I think it's overdone, this pushing back against his award. He's obviously done something very significant, and that is, after eight years in which the United States was really held in contempt around the world, the United States has now had a new relationship with the rest of the world."
The only good thing that ABC News has done lately has been their great series on Made in America products. I give credit where credit is due but Christiane Amanpour does not deserve any credit for her biased reporting in favor of Muslims and leftist Democrats.

There are skeptics everywhere and sometimes they offer useful information. Take, for instance, that massive painting in Christiane Amanpour's apartment that looks every bit like the World Trade Center towers lit up in fire and smoke. Some people believe that it was painted two years before the attack on 9-11-2001 and therefore could not be what it seems to be. Well, consider this: The artist was well connected with the Iranian government and the plan to hijack the airliners that day was planned for years in advance. Didn't several of the Muslim hijackers come to the United States a few years earlier and enroll in pilot training schools to learn how to fly? Who is to say that rumors of that planned attack didn't circulate around some of those Middle-East terrorist countries and the artist got wind of the idea. And if you want to stretch your imagination a bit, maybe the artist had something else in mind when she painted the picture and her impressionist work actually gave Osama Bin Laden the idea for the attack. After all, a few other radical Muslim terrorists had already attacked the World Trade Center in 1993.

When American companies buy Made in China - you get what you pay for. Ford Mustangs have a problem with Chinese-made transmissions.
This story just appeared on Fox News. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration is investigating complaints about Chinese-made Ford Mustang Transmissions. I wonder how much money Ford Motor Company has saved buying transmissions Made in China? It is well known that factory workers in China make only pennies-per-hour wages. Chinese manufacturers also have a notorious reputation for using cheap material and substandard quality control. What a way to treat an American Legend, Steve McQueen will be turning over in his grave.
NHTSA Investigating Complaints About Chinese-Made Ford Mustang Transmissions
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened an investigation into reported transmission problems in 2011 and 2012 Ford Mustangs.The preliminary evaluation stems from 32 complaints filed with the agency regarding an occasional problem shifting into gear in six and eight-cylinder cars equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission that is manufactured in China. Approximately 26,000 of the cars have been sold.2011 Ford Mustang GTMany of the reports focus on a difficulty engaging 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears during both up- and downshifts, especially when the transmission is cold. Others mention a persistent grinding sound and issues with other gears. In addition to the official complaints filed with NHTSA, the topic has appeared on a number of independent websites that cater to Mustang owners. No accidents or injuries have been reported, but several of the complaints mention close calls that were caused as a result of the problem.

Atheists object to 9/11 cross at World Trade Center memorial museum.
The story appeared in the news a few days ago. The American Atheists organization has filed an objection in court to prevent a cross formed from two steel beams that was found in the wreckage of the World Trade Center after the attack by 19 Muslim terrorists on 9/11 from being included in a memorial museum at the site. American Atheists don't believe in God, what they appear to believe in is Nothing, as in Nothing created everything. The horrific aftermath of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers, that resulted in almost 3000 deaths, was felt on a daily basis by the emergency crews and first responders who worked for months cleaning and searching the site. When the cross was found it became a rallying point that gave inspiration and hope that helped ease the trauma of the workers and thus became a part of the historical record of that horrible event. But the atheists say it violates the separation of church and state in spite of the acknowledgment our Founding Fathers gave to our Creator.
Indeed, the second paragraph of our Declaration of Independence says: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
A few days after the fanatical hijacking of four commercial airliners by 19 Islamic religion-inspired terrorists the steel cross was found and Father Brian Jordan a Franciscan Priest from nearby St. Peter's church blessed the cross and services were performed there to help uplift the spirits of the workers. Now the cross is being returned to the site to be displayed inside the underground museum and the atheists have raised an objection.
America has always been inspired by religion and to think that those who perished at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001 did not say some prayers is absurd. To quote President Dwight David Eisenhower, who said that during war, "There are No Atheists in Foxholes. They know that in time of test and trial, we instinctively turn to God for new courage…Whatever our individual church, whatever our personal creed, our common faith in God is a common bond among us." and neither are there any atheists in times like this.
It is sad to admit that our leftist, politically correct news media in America did not cover this story as well as some of the overseas newspapers did. Here is a remarkable story from England with some great photographs, many of which must been seen on their web site to appreciate.

A cross-shaped steel beam found amid the wreckage in the days following the September 11 terrorist attack has been lowered 70 feet down into the bowels of where the twin towers once stood to become part of the exhibit at the National September 11th Memorial and Museum.
The two-ton, 20-foot-high T-beam, which has now become a religious relic, was taken from its temporary post near the oldest Roman Catholic parish in New York City, St Peter's, it was a symbol of hope for many working on rescue and recovery there, so much so that the construction worker who discovered it believes he stumbled on to a miracle.
'I saw Calvary in the midst of all the wreckage, the disaster,' Frank Silecchia recalled. 'It was a sign... that God didn't desert us.'
But for all the religious fervour surrounding the cross, it will become part of the museum because of its history at ground zero, not because of its Christian symbolism, said Joe Daniels, president of the memorial foundation.
'It's powerful because it provided comfort to so many people - it is a part of the history of the space,' Daniels explained.

'It's important to have these artifacts that reflect the history, to remember, to see how people coped,' he said. For Reverand Brian Jordan, the Roman Catholic priest who led the effort to preserve the cross, it is very much a symbol of Christianity - sacrifice, loss and renewal, he said. Jordan celebrated Mass under the cross for weeks - and members of many different religions took part.
The rusted, twisted metal beams were dear to Jordan partly because his mentor, Reverand Mychal F. Judge, chaplain of the city's fire department, died just feet from where it was found while helping people on September 11.
In 2006, the cross was lifted from the site and transplanted to a spot nearby at the oldest Roman Catholic parish in New York City, St Peter's, where it remained until a flatbed truck took it to a nearby park for a blessing, and then on to the World Trade Center site.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, along with about 200 emergency workers and families of victims who died in the attack, joined Jordan for a blessing ceremony before the cross was moved on Saturday.
'This was such an important part of how people dealt with Sept. 11,' said Giuliani. 'The night of the September 11, we asked people to be stronger,' he said. 'And I believe New York is stronger today than it was then. Mayor (Michael) Bloomberg and Commissioner (Raymond) Kelly have made sure we're safer now. We're better prepared.'
On July 28th this year, Fox News broadcast a discussion between one of the first responders who worked the World Trade Center site and a member of the American Atheists. Here is a video segment of that debate.
This is my reply to the atheists. Their argument seems to be more of a publicity stunt to gain recognition for themselves than an outright objection to the cross itself because they say that the cross can be part of the museum display if the museum includes their group as well. I say let that happen. Give the atheists a place in the museum, and here is my suggestion along with a new colorful toilet seat to go with it.

The Communist Party USA has endorsed Barack Obama for re-election as President of the United States, according to an article at World Net Daily.

While noting he is disappointed with "some aspects" of the Obama administration's domestic and foreign policy, Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USA, threw his support behind Obama's re-election bid.In the article Klein references, Webb writes that he is disappointed "with some aspects of the Obama administration's domestic and foreign policy," and acknowledges "the structural pressures of governing in a capitalist economy and state."
Nevertheless, Webb goes on to say that what the country needs is a viable third party.
According to Webb, "neither party is anti-capitalist."
But in his view, the Democratic Party is closer to his ideal than the Republican Party.

Barack Hussein Obama, II's mentor Frank Marshall Davis, as mentioned in Obama's own book, Dreams From My Father, was an active member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) but Obama omits that little detail. In his essay, Obama’s Communist Mentor, Cliff Kincaid writes: " Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank.”"

I also know that Islam has always been a part of America's story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President, John Adams, wrote, "The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims." And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, they have served in our government, they have stood for civil rights, they have started businesses, they have taught at our universities, they've excelled in our sports arenas, they've won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers -- Thomas Jefferson -- kept in his personal library. (Applause.)
Jefferson, a courteous man, simply moved the dinner forward by a few hours. He didn't change the menu, he didn't change anything else. And moving the dinner forward by a few hours hardly turns that dinner into a soi-disant "Iftar Dinner." Barack Obama's trying to do so, trying that is, to rewrite American history, with some nunc-pro-tunc backdating, in order to flatter or please his Muslim guests, is false. And, being false, is also disgusting. It is disgusting for an American President to misrepresent American history to Americans, including all the schoolchildren who are now being subject to all kinds of Islamic propaganda, cunningly woven into the newly-mandated textbooks, that so favorably misrepresent Islam, as here.
Now there is a kind of coda to this dismal tale, and it is provided by the New York Times, which likes to put on airs and think of itself as "the newspaper of record," whatever that means. The Times carried a front-page story on August 14, 2010, written by one Sheryl Gay Stolberg, and no doubt gone over by many vigilant editors. This story contains a predictably glowing account of Barack Obama's remarks at the "Annual Iftar Dinner." Here is the paragraph that caught my eye:
In hosting the iftar, Mr. Obama was following a White House tradition that, while sporadic, dates to Thomas Jefferson, who held a sunset dinner for the first Muslim ambassador to the United States. President George W. Bush hosted iftars annually.Question for Sheryl Gay Stolberg, and for her editors at The New York Times: You report that there is a "White Hosue tradition that, while sporadic, dates to Thomas Jefferson." I claim that you are wrong. I claim that there is no White House Tradition at all about Iftar Dinners. I claim that Thomas Jefferson, in moving forward by a few hours a dinner that changed in no other respect, for Sidi Soliman Mellimelli, was not providing the first of the "Annual Iftar Dinners" that, the New York Times tells us, has since Jefferson's non-existent "Iftar Dinner," have been observed "sporadically."
When, then, was the next in this long, but "sporadic" series of iftar dinners? I can find no record of any, for roughly the next two hundred years, until we come to the fall of the year 2001, that is, just after the deadliest attack on American civilians ever recorded, an attack carried out by a novemdectet of Muslims acting according to their understanding of the very same texts -- Qur'an,Hadith, Sira -- that all Muslims read, an understanding that many have demonstrated since that they share, not least in the spontaneous celebrations that were immediately held in Cairo, and Riyadh, and Jeddah, and in Ramallah, and Gaza, and Damascus, and Baghdad, and all over the place, where Muslims felt that they had won a victory over those accursed kuffar, those ingrates, those Infidels. And it was President George Bush who decided that, to win Muslim "trust" or to end Muslim "mistrust" -- I forget which -- so that we could, non-Muslim and Muslim, collaborate on defeating those "violent extremists" who had "hijacked a great religion," started this sporadic ball unsporadically rolling. And he did it, by golly, he did. He hosted an Iftar Dinner with all the fixins. It was held just the month after the attacks prompted by Islamic texts and tenets and attitudes on the World Trade Center, on the Pentagon, on a plane's doomed pilots and passengers over a field in Pennsylvania.
And thus it is, that ever since 2001, we have had iftar dinner after iftar dinner. But it was not Jefferson or any other of our cultivated and learned Presidents, who started this "tradition" that has been observed only "sporadically" -- i.e., never -- until George Bush came along, unless we are to count as an "iftar dinner" what was merely seen, by Jefferson, as a dinner given at a time convenient for his not-too-honored guest.
Yes, and how splendidly Bush, and now Obama, have proven to Muslims that there are no hard feelings. Do you think the three trillion dollars spent in Iraq and now in Afghanistan (not counting the hundreds of billions that, over time, have gone to Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, even the "Palestinian" territories), have done that? It has all been designed to improve the lot of Muslims on the unproven assumption that this will make them less attentive to the texts, the ideology, of their Total Belief-System, and hence more willing to grandly concede to us Infidels a territory of our own, a place in the sun of our own. Yes, George Bush, that profound student of history and of ideas, kept telling us, in those first few months after 9/11/2001, that as far as he was concerned, by gum, Islam was a religion of "peace and tolerance." And just to prove it, by golly, he'd put on an Iftar Dinner with all the fixins. And that's just what he did. And that's how the "tradition" that Sheryl Gay Stolberg, and her many vetting editors at the newspaper of comical record, The New York Times, began. It's all of nine years old, through the disastrous presidencies of Bush and now of Obama.

Three Cheers again for ABC World News "Made in America" series.
Last night, Diane Sawyer ran another segment in her "Made in America" series and investigated the source for many campaign products being sold by the Republican presidential candidates. Click the link HERE to see the video. This segment revealed that less than half of the announced candidates were using campaign t-shirts that were "Made in America". Michelle Bachmann and Mitt Romney were the only two who had shirts that carried the "Made in America" label. Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain both used t-shirts Made in Honduras and Ron Paul's were Made in El Salvador. To make matters worse, while Cain and Gingrich claimed ignorance and feigned embarrassment over where their shirts were made, Ron Paul took the opposite approach: “No, I wasn’t aware of it… but I wouldn’t change it. I would argue the case that the market should determine it.”
So it is that Ron Paul sees no difference between American business competing against each other and competing against low income countries that often subsidize manufacturing.
Free Trade is a great concept to foster competition among American businesses. When a foreign government like China builds entire cities around manufacturing complexes that house the work staff and pays then pennies per hour wages, that is not Free Trade. As far as my Tariff idea (in my previous post) sounding more like the AFL-CIO, as one reader commented, I have nothing against unions and manufacturing that employs union workers. Trade unions have done a great job keeping their skills alive. As far as politics goes, there are Republicans and then there are assholes like Ron Paul who call themselves Republicans. Ron Paul makes me believe he would contract out the defense of our country the same way Wal-Mart and Sears finds suppliers, to the lowest bidder, no matter where they are.
One last comment in this ABC News series mentioned that Barack Hussein Obama's campaign was also selling Made in America t-shirts. Too bad Obama has to hold so many anti-American ideas and thinks so highly of those Islamic countries he has visited. And too bad the rest of the Democratic Party is only in favor of the pro-Democrat unions and has heaped so much Federal aid on the cities that have significant Democrat voters.
I often hold a contemptuous view of the slanted coverage on our mainstream news media but this series on ABC World News deserves heaps of praise. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
