Sarah Palin isn’t dancing on television tonight, her daughter Bristol is, but the ex-governor of Alaska and Republican vice-presidential candidate will be on everyone’s mind when the judges announce the winner of the contest. In the ensuing weeks that has led up to the final competition between Bristol Palin, Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massy, the three amateur celebrities paired with three professional dancers, Bristol Palin has repeatedly turned in the lowest scores from the judges yet still managed to gather the higher number of viewer votes. Those votes called in by the viewers for Bristol Palin have been thought to be from the loyal fans of her mother, Sarah Palin.
If this suspicion is correct, then the outcome of tonight’s final tally could well have a bearing on the future of America.
During the 2010 election campaigns Sarah Palin traveled across the country endorsing many Tea Party candidates and in doing so she loaned her prestige and placed her reputation on the line. With her help many lesser known candidates within the Republican Party were elected to offices ranging from Governors to Congress to State Legislatures. If her supporters are, in fact, responsible for helping the less talented Bristol Palin win the Dancing With The Stars competition then the credibility of Sarah Palin, herself, will come into doubt. If that happens it will follow Gov. Palin through the next two years leading up to the 2012 presidential campaign.
