Late breaking developments on the 11 o'clock news tonight required some rewrite on this post.
Dept. of Homeland Security announced tonight that no one will be exempted from airport security pat downs and body scanners for any reason, including religious reasons. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has been hammered with protests over the touchy-feely procedure recently introduced that left many female airline passengers thinking they had been sexually assaulted. While no mention of Muslims was made, we can all wonder if the TSA will reject the demands made by CAIR who had advised Muslim women not to allow anyone to touch their bodies or scan them.
The original subject of this post was going to be about why the news media has been failing to mention the Muslim/Islamic connection to terrorist crimes in their reporting. One of the front page stories in today's Kentucky Enquirer concerned a Muslim terrorist from Tennessee who was charged with killing a soldier at an Arkansas recruiting station had wrote about carrying out wide scale attacks that included the nearby city of Florence, Kentucky. The newspaper wrote:
Terrorist targeted Florence (Kentucky) Foiled plots included bombing Army recruiting center in NKY
The Associated Press • November 15, 2010
"Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad wrote in the letters from prison that he was planning multiple attacks that included sites in Nashville and Florence, Ky.
Muhammad, born in Memphis as Carlos Bledsoe, faces the death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted of capital murder in the June 2009 fatal shooting of Pvt. William Andrew Long, of Conway, Ark.
After returning in 2007 from Yemen, where he had been imprisoned and later deported, Muhammad said he began plotting an attack with targets that included rabbis and recruiting centers. ....."Notice there is no mention of the accused being a Muslim even though it says he was born as Carlos Bledsoe but his new name is Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad without any further explanation. Now read the way Fox News reported this story:
The suspect in the deadly shooting at a military recruiting center in Arkansas is the latest in a series of Muslim converts accused of planning or launching violent attacks in the U.S., part of what security experts call an alarming domestic trend.
The attack came less than two weeks after a foiled bomb plot on two synagogues in Riverdale, N.Y., allegedly led by four men who converted to Islam in prison or shortly after their incarceration.
Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the 23-year-old accused of killing a U.S. soldier and injuring another in the attack Monday in Little Rock, was born in Tennessee as Carlos Leon Bledsoe. He reportedly converted to Islam as a teenager, and court records show he changed his name in March 2006.
Now you know why Fox News says it is fair and balanced.
My original title for this article was going to be "News reports show number of Muslim terrorist crimes greatly diminished" due to the fact that no one mentions Muslims anymore. Then the outrage over the government sanctioned sexual assaults on American female airline passengers surfaced and I decided to combine the two story lines together because together they both seem to be pandering to Islamic demands. Female airline passengers across the country are infuriated with TSA personnel feeling up their breasts and groping their crotches. Pilots are also complaining of the repeated embarrassment. Airline passengers in America have endured great hardships ever since 19 Muslim terrorists hijacked four airliners on September 11, 2001. Then, a few months later Richard Reid boarded American Airlines Flight 63 on December 22, 2001 from Paris to Miami, and tried to ignite his special shoes packed with plastic explosives in their hollowed-out bottoms. Reid was a Muslim who belonged to the Brixton Mosque in South London and is a self-admitted member of al-Qaeda. His crime led to the new requirement of American airline passengers having to remove their shoes for inspection before boarding a flight or entering an airline terminal. But that was only the beginning.
In the ensuing years their have been failed Muslim terrorist plans to kill soldiers at Ft. Dix, NJ and blow up a bomb in Times Square, NYC. There have also been several Muslim terrorist attacks that did not fail. Army Major Nidal Mailk Hasan, self proclaimed Soldier of Allah, who murdered 13 unarmed soldiers at Ft. Hood, TX is one of several. These were not just crimes of violence but acts of religious inspired terrorism committed by people who followed Islam and made jihadic reference to Islam in the commission of their acts. Major Hasan yelled out “Allahu Akbar”, God is Great in Arabic as he shot each of his victims. Major Hasan called himself a Soldier of Allah and the Times Square bomber told the judge when he pleaded guilty that he was a Muslim Soldier.
Then some 8-years later Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian Muslim, attempted to detonate plastic explosives hidden in his underwear while on board Northwest Airlines Flight 253, en route from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan, on December 25, 2009. When he pleaded guilty in Federal court in NYC he told the judge he was a Muslim soldier.
One thing is common in each of these stories is that none of the perpetrators have ever been identified as Muslims, nor have any news reports or government statements identified Islamic Jihad as the reason.
I wrote the other day about an Intelligence Assessment report in Canada that was recently declassified and revealed in a story in the Canadian National Post that says “A newly released intelligence report says hard-line Islamist groups want to build a "parallel society" in Canada, which could undermine the country's social cohesion and foster violence. The de-classified Intelligence Assessment obtained by the National Post says extremists have been encouraging Muslims in the West to reject Western society and to live in "self-imposed isolation."
"The report was written by the Integrated Threat Assessment Centre, which monitors threats to Canada's national security and is composed of representatives of CSIS, the RCMP, Foreign Affairs, National Defence and other agencies.
CNSNews.com reported the following response from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano:
"When asked today if she will insist that Muslim women wearing hijabs must go through full body pat downs before boarding planes, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano did not say yes or no, but told CNSNews.com there will be “adjustments” and “more to come” on the issue."
Homeland Security and the TSA, who seem unable to find Muslim terrorists at any airport have apparently decided to exempt Muslim women from pat-down inspections at security checkpoints out of deference to their religious sensibilities. Following the Canadian story on Muslims rejecting integration and wanting a parallel society, that story compared Muslims with the religious group called Mennonites,This prompted one of the best observations on this subject by a blogger quoted on Jihad Watch who said: "Because who among us," remarks Kathy Shaidle, "can forget the fateful day when Mennonites drove their horse drawn buggies into the lobbies of the World Trade Center...?"
Around the same time word came out that Air Canada was not going to insist that Muslim women remove their Hijabs, full face coverings, to prove their identity when they pass through airport security. Then more news came out that CAIR, the Muslim group identified in the Holy Land Foundation trials as a front group for the terrorist organization Hamas, had issued instructions to Muslim women not to allow full body pat downs like every other woman passenger must endure. “Air Canada Risks Your Safety, Pandering to Muslim Sensibilities” screamed the blogger headlines. But that headline seems to be a new rule being implemented by most of our leftist mainstream news media because for many months now they have neglected to identify any of the perpetrators of terrorist acts as being Muslims even while mentioning their connection to Islam. Here are two such examples out of many recent stories.
California woman charged with terrorist aid
AP news story 11-15-10
SAN DIEGO -- A California woman has been charged with providing money and personnel to a terrorist group in Somalia to help carry out killings in the African nation, according to a federal indictment obtained Monday.
Nima Ali Yusuf supported al-Shabab, an al-Qaida-linked militia trying to create an Islamic state in Somalia, federal prosecutor Sabrina Feve said.
29 charged in bust of sex slave ring tied to 3 Minneapolis gangs
Girls as young as 12 forced into prostitution, feds say; Somali gang-run ring allegedly reached from Twin Cities to Nashville; arrests cap 2-year probe.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune originally ran this story a few days ago but they have pulled it from view and hid it into a pay-to-see archive. The we site, www.twincities.com still shows some older stories so their action in pulling the more recent bad news article about a Somali Muslim sex slave ring suggests some more pandering. Jihad Watch still carries the story on their web site. The Star Tribune website TwinCities.com had even posted the names of the 29 Muslims arrested in the sex slave ring without mentioning the word 'Muslim'.
“The 29 people charged are: Abdifitah Jama Adan, 28; Abdullahi Sade Afyare, 19; Ahmad Abnulnasir Ahmad, 23; Yahya Jamal Ahmed, 23; Abdikarim Osman Ali, 22; Musse Ahmed Ali, 23; Hassan Ahmed Dahir, 21; Fadumo Mohamed Farah, 25; Idris Ibrahim Fahra, 22; Yasin Ahmed Farah, 19; Abdullahi Hashi, 24; Fatah Haji Hashi, 23; Abdirahman Abdirazak Hersi, 20; Muhiyadin Hassan Hussein, 22; Dahir Nor Ibrahim, 38; Abdifatah Bashir Jama, 23; Andrew Kayachith, 20; Abdigadir Ahmed Khalif, 24; Bashir Yasin Mohamud, 26; Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed, 22; Fuad Faisal Nur, 24; Abdifatah Sharif Omar, 25; Liban Sharif Omar, 21; Mohamed Sharif Omar, 26; Hamdi Ali Osman, 22; Haji Osman Salad, 20; Bibi Ahmed Said, 19; Ahmed Aweys Sheik, 24; Yassin Abdirahman Yusuf, 21.”
Some may question the inclusion of a story about a sex slave ring with Muslim acts of terrorism and, in fact, even doubt anything about a slave ring. The interesting fact is that in our modern age, Muslims in parts of the world still own slaves and apparently, also in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Muslims were the source for the world slave trade for hundreds of years that shipped boatloads of slaves to America. While America outlawed slavery, Islamic countries did not. Here is some proof. During the last Ramadan celebration where Muslims are commanded to make charitable contributions called Zakat to Muslim charities, I was sent the following brochure. Read the outlined text in the two sides of the pamphlet that explains that these contributions may only go toward other Muslims and that slaves are exempt. Click the image for a larger view.
The sentence reads: "Zakat is only given by Muslims to Muslims." So who owns the slaves that this charity will attempt to set free?
A number of people in the aviation field have pleaded with the government to start some form of profiling to identify possible terrorists. Some have even called for a ban on allowing people with Muslim names onto any flights. Juan Williams was fired from his long time job with National Public Radio for saying: "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
There have been a number of incidents that some have called "dry runs" where just such a group of Muslims created a disturbing scene or suspicious activity on an airline. Many, many Americans are also concerned. But the news media continues to cover up the blame.
