In Kentucky the choice is clear. Bill Johnson is the only true conservative.

We seem to have lost sight of our ability to pick the right people to run our government. Politics seems to be more like business that depends on huge advertising campaigns to sell their product. But does that make the little guy who has some really great ideas less attractive? Let me tell you about the little guy in the Republican primary campaign for U.S. Senate in Kentucky. His name is Bill Johnson. Bill Johnson is The Mouse That Roared.
Bill Johnson was born in Wichita, Kansas, and moved to Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1975. After completing elementary through high school in Christian County, Bill attended the University of Kentucky (UK) and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1995.

While attending UK, Bill was selected for the prestigious U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program. He was commissioned on September 30, 1988. Bill served onboard the nuclear powered cruiser USS Virginia during the first gulf war. He later served on the staff of the Commander, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, and then onboard the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower. During his military service, Bill received the Joint Meritorious Unit Award three times, Sea Service Deployment ribbon twice, Southwest Asia Service Medal with bronze star, Coast Guard Special Operations ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, and Navy Achievement Medal. He received an honorable discharge after 10 years of military service.

Following discharge and accepting a job with General Electric, Bill and his wife Delinda returned home, residing in the Northern Kentucky city of Florence. While at GE, he was a corporate auditor and global information security manager. In addition to GE, Bill has worked for Kroll-O'Gara and Logical IT, both located in Cincinnati. Most recently, Bill was part of an international leadership team at BP, responsible for contracting and buying of over $1.2 billion of 3rd party goods and services. Throughout his career in business, Bill has cut costs, managed multi-million dollar budgets, led international teams, and delivered projects on time.

Bill's military and business leadership has taken him to Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, China, Azerbaijan, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Panama, Belgium, India, and Canada. Through these travels, he has interacted with diverse cultures and witnessed first hand why America is the land of opportunity.

Outside of work, Bill has been a pilot since 1984, earning his private and instrument ratings while in high school. A third generation 'aviation enthusiast', he has worked with his father on aviation projects for as long as he can remember. Bill is an Airframe and Power plant aircraft mechanic with over 25 years of aviation experience. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association (AOPA) and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Bill currently owns a 1963 Meyers 200B and flies about 100 hours per year.

Bill, Delinda, and their two children, Will (age 14) and Julia (age 10), have lived in Elkton, Kentucky, (Todd County) for 6 years. Delinda, a native of Casey County, is a teacher and loving wife. Bill and Delinda recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Last year I was almost ready to stay home when it came to vote because John McCain, the Republican candidate for president was such a RINO, a Republican In Name Only, had little track record for being a true conservative. Then McCain brought Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on to his ticket as the Vice Presidential candidate and I was enthralled with her conservative beliefs. Since Palin resigned from office she has been skipping across the country attending book signing events and endorsing a variety of Republican candidates. She impressed me with her support for the true conservative running in the New York 23rd Congressional District race and that candidate was running on the Conservative Party line because the Republican candidate was an outright liberal.

Then Sarah Palin's image became tarnished when she announced that she was going to work for Sen. John McCain's re-election. Now her latest endorsement of Libertarian/Republican Rand Paul for U.S. Senate seat in the upcoming primary in Kentucky has convinced me that she has lost her mind completely.

The three-way primary has a well known Secretary of State Trey Greyson who used to be a Democrat until he switched party registration when Republicans started gaining a strong power base in Kentucky. The second candidate is Dr. Rand Paul, son of Texas Congressman Ron Paul. Aside from running a minimally effective primary campaign for president last year, the only commendable thing Ron Paul has done in Congress was to introduce a bill to audit the Federal Reserve. Everything else he and his son Rand have stood for is right off the Libertarian Party platform. Legalizing abortion and making cocaine and marijuana legal are just a small bit of the larger cesspool of ideas he represents.

Running a genuine grassroots campaign with little more than a statewide base of volunteers is Bill Johnson, a genuine patriotic conservative who talks the same ideas as Ronald Reagan. Take a close look at Bill Johnson's web site  http://www.kentuckybill.com/ and read for yourself what this patriot has to say about his views on government. And read what Debbie Schlussel says about Rand Paul, Bill Johnson's opposition.

Meet Sarah Palin’s Preferred Candidate, the Nutty Rand Paul (Sympathizes w/ Iran, Compared U.S. Troops to Hitler, Etc.)
        By Debbie Schlussel

Early this morning, I told you about Sarah Palin’s endorsements of and donations to several very questionable candidates.  Foremost among those is Rand Paul, the equally nutty son of Ron Paul.
Empty Skirtsuit Sarah Palin Endorses Anti-War, Anti-American, pro-Iran Rand Paul

Our friend, Sultan Knish a/k/a Daniel Greenfield, has a great piece summarizing the anti-war, anti-Gitmo, pan-terrorist, 9/11 conspiracy theory, pro-Iran, and anti-American views of the Paul son.  He quotes from Paul’s appearances on the openly anti-Semitic Anti-War Radio (owned and run by gay neo-Nazi Justin Raimondo, who frequently bashes me for being Jewish) and Alex Jones shows (Jones is a well known 9/11 Truther and constant basher of “the Zionists”).  In my view, Rand Paul’s presence on these shows alone should disqualify him, but Sarah Palin thinks he’s just wonderful because Sarah Palin doesn’t think.  She’s a dummy, and it’s time her blind worshipers woke up to that, but they refuse to awaken from their slumber.  Does it not bother her that, as the Sultan points out, Rand Paul compared the U.S. military to Hitler?  Hellooooo . . . ?

Rand Paul, Anti-War, Anti-Gitmo and Anti-American

He's for shutting down Guantanamo Bay and banning the forceful interrogation of Al Queda terrorists. Not only that he would like to see the dangerous terrorists currently held in Guantanamo Bay deported back to their countries of origin, where in his own words, "It’d take them a while to get back over here."

He wants to cut the deficit by cutting defense spending and boasts that if he had been in the Senate, he would have held up the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He flirts with pro abortion and drug legalization rhetoric. His main spokesman was caught penning satanic anti-Christian lyrics and blaming America for 9/11. In response to this, his campaign manager, suggested there was "truth on both sides".

Barack Obama? Nancy Pelosi? No, Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul who has been a freelance Al Queda spokesman in Congress, currently running in the Republican Senate primary in Kentucky. The mainstream Republican establishment has thrown its support behind Trey Grayson. The local tea party movement has Bill Johnson. Meanwhile the same league of 9/11 Truthers, anti-war radicals and online gambling companies is busy astroturfing for Rand Paul, and filling up his war chest. They're already creating fake websites targeting his opponents.

  1. And you thought I was nuts when I voted for Alan Keyes. It's all about conscious for me not who can win! Personally, I am not surprised that Sarah got bought off nor that she endorses folks like Rand Paul! Sorry, but I never was a Palin fan and I have always had my misgivings about her and than when she abandoned Alaska as governor; I knew her fate was signed sealed and delivered, she sold out for a mere bowl of soup! Those I feel badly for are the honest wonderful conservatives that believed in her.

  2. Rats abandoning a sinking ship isn’t a novelty but when it’s the Good Ship Obamapop, it’s newsworthy:

NIMBYMP! Not in my back yard, Mr. President!

Democrat incumbents and wannabes from Missouri to Florida to Nebraska are treating Obama as if he were afflicted with the plague and a Death Panel has already passed sentence.

No fools they, the Dem pols would rather go it alone than have a presidential albatross around their necks. It makes sense, too, considering his endorsement track record success of zero percent: Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts.

Actually he’s zero for four if we count his and Michelle’s desperate failed trip to Copenhagen to bring home the 2016 Summer Olympics to Chicago. That first-round elimination was a humiliating face slap, repeated in December via a humiliating rebuke at the global climate talks, also in Copenhagen.

Not ready to get slapped silly by voters come November, “A Democratic Senate candidate in Missouri denounced the budget’s sky-high deficit. A Florida Democrat whose district includes the Kennedy Space Center hit the roof over NASA budget cuts. And an endangered Senate Democrat denounced proposed cuts in farm subsidies.”

The only problem with that analysis is that just about every Dem running this year is “endangered.” Just ask Virginia State Sen. Creigh Deeds, former New Jersey Governor John Corzine, and Massachusett’s A.G. Martha Coakley what happened last year.

Also, with a rampant anti-incumbency fever infecting the electorate, every Dem officeholder, federal, state, or local, is more vulnerable since the leader of their pack is the guy most responsible for the fever.

As a Baltimore Sun article put it,. . .

  3. This is an excellent post Mr. Abdullah. I've become a fan of Mr. Johnson, and will vote for him in May. There is just too much at stake not to seriously consider the pros and cons with each candidate. Honestly, I have yet to find a 'con' regarding Bill Johnson.

  4. I, too, believe in Bill Johnson. He doesn't have a well-known name or a big bank account, but he DOES have a genuine love for his country and the desire and qualifications to help undo a lot of damage done to our nation. He also has the distinction of NOT being a "politician"!

  5. There are many of us in Kentucky who do not and will not support Rand Paul. He is a clone of his father disguised as a Republican. Look at the interview videos with Alex Jones. He’s a one trick pony on finance. All other issues are nothing more than a dog and pony show, which he is very good at selling tickets to by the way. We don’t find him credible on any of his other stated positions, including immigration, foreign policy and abortion. When you attempt to decieve the voters on one issue, good luck in getting them to trust you on another. That’s exactly what we are fighting in D.C. now. Thank God that there is a common sense base in the tea party movement.
