Somehow, some way, I started getting emails from those disgruntled Republicans who blindly follow Ron Paul. They have a web site called Liberty Crier and in spite of losing the primary elections they are still trying to convince people to write in a vote for Ron Paul for president. I am not against any third-party political movement, mainly because years ago when living in New York, I was a member of the New York State Conservative Party. That was during the time that ultra-liberals Nelson Rockefeller and Jacob Javits were running the Republican Party. Running it so badly you couldn't tell them apart from the Democrats. The Conservative Party won some clout when they began to cross-endorse certain conservative Republicans, allowing them to run on the Conservative line. There is a lesson to be learned here so I'll quote one paragraph of their history from Wikipedia:
The Conservative Party founders wanted to balance the Liberal Party's influence. One early supporter was National Review founder William F. Buckley, who was the party's candidate for mayor of New York City in 1965. In 1970, his brother James Buckley was elected to the U.S. Senate
as a Conservative Party candidate; in 1976, he ran for reelection as a
candidate of the Republican and Conservative Parties, losing to Daniel Patrick Moynihan. In the 2004 U.S. Senate election, the Conservative Party endorsed Marilyn O'Grady to oppose Republican candidate Howard Mills and incumbent Democratic Senator Charles Schumer. (and Chuck Schumer won!)
Read that last sentence again. While the Conservative Party was cross-endorsing conservative Republicans they had power in their combined strength. But when they ran a separate candidate against the Republicans, they and the Republicans both lost and the Democrats won. The error of their ways (myself included) began when they let their pride and egos overrule their common sense and they decided to break away from the main Republican Party. Had they organized their forces from within the Republican Party they could have moved it more to the right like the Tea Party did in 2010. But this strategy requires that you must accept the fact that you can't always have things your own way all the time.
On the national political scene there is no cross-endorsing between political parties. There is also the stark reality that in spite of a half-dozen or so minor parties such as the Socialist Party, Workers Party, Green Party, etc. the elections are decided between the two main parties: Democrats and Republicans. It is only when an election becomes very close that a third party candidate can take enough votes away from one side that helps the other side win. Ross Perot did this in 1992 when he won 19% of the popular vote and helped Democrat Bill Clinton beat Republican George H. W. Bush. The events that led up to Ross Perot running for president is somewhat similar to Ron Paul but the outcome is also appropriate to Gary Johnson, the current Libertarian candidate. Ross Perot was a Texas billionaire and he had a grudge against fellow Texan, George H. W. Bush. Perot used his wealth and started a national movement and got enough qualifying signatures to place his name on the ballot in all 50 states. George H. W. Bush, who was Ronald Reagan's vice-president did not enjoy the same conservative reputation among Republicans that Reagan did but managed to ride Reagan's coattails to get elected president in 1988. Because there were still a lot on conservative Republicans who enjoyed Ross Perot's rhetoric and disdained Bush's tepid brand of conservatism (recall that Bush resigned his Life Membership in the NRA because he objected to their referring to BATF agents as Jack-booted Thugs) Perot received enough votes to tip the outcome to a liberal Democrat.
The consequences of a Democratic victory on November 6th will be catastrophic.
Today, in 2012, America is facing a far more serious situation than those somewhat easy going days before September 11, 2001, and the consequences of anything happening to enable the Democrats to win this election are catastrophic. There is a lot more at stake than replacing a Democrat whose most deplorable act was receiving oral sex in the Oval Office and his subsequent impeachment for lying about it. Today, as a result of a corrupt anti-American leftist news media and an insidious conspiracy between communists and Islamic terrorists we have a genuine, would be dictator running for reelection. While many problems in American politics can be reversed in four year cycles, the next four years will create problems that will last for our lifetimes. We are losing our Constitutional Rights in the name of political correctness because of a pro-Muslim bias within our government financed by Saudi Arabia and The Muslim Brotherhood. We are on the verge of losing our national sovereignty because of Barack Hussein Obama's lifelong Marxist/socialist communist and yes, Muslim indoctrination favors United Nations control over our laws. If anyone still doubts the intentions or consequences of the United Nations on the future of America, here is a brief quote from an article posted on New Zeal.
“Alger Hiss Day” a Reminder of U.N.’s Anti-Americanism
By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media
October 24 is United Nations Day, or as Barbara Marx Hubbard calls it, “Global Oneness Day.”
It has also been labeled “Alger Hiss Day,” in recognition of the Soviet
spy and State Department official who played a major role in founding
the world body. Don’t expect the major media to remind us of that fact.
One of the best sources of information on the role of Alger Hiss in the U.N. is the important new book, Alger Hiss: Why He Chose Treason, by Christina Shelton.
The Shelton book notes, “Following Yalta, preparation for the
establishment of the United Nations was Hiss’s primary mission.” Hiss
was appointed acting secretary-general of the U.N. founding conference
and was involved in staffing the U.N. by selecting people for employment
in the world body. “About fifty showed up as permanent employees and a
couple of hundred in part-time assignments,” Shelton says of Hiss’s
efforts.
From the very beginnings of the organization of the U.N. at the direction of and influence of Alger Hiss, the post of Undersecretary-general for Political and Security Council Affairs was always to be handled by a communist. This was the post that oversaw the entire operations of U.S. troops fighting under the U.N. flag during the Korean War. The first war America did not win. Here is a rather lengthy excerpt of the background:
Secret agreement: U.N. military to always be commanded by a communist
One of the most important positions within the entire United Nations—if
not the most important—is that of Undersecretary-general for Political
and Security Council Affairs. Most Americans have never even heard of this
position, much less anything about the man who holds the job. The undersecretary-general
for political and security council affairs has three main areas of
responsibility. They are:
- Control of all military and police functions of
the United Nations peacekeeping forces.
- Supervision of all disarmament moves on the part
of member nations
- Control of all atomic energy ultimately entrusted
to the United nations for peaceful and “other purposes”.
In view of the fact that these three functions may
soon constitute the ultimate power of life and death over every human
being on the face of the earth (once national disarmament is achieved and
all military is under the control of the U.N.), there would appear to be
some minor justification for us to be more than passingly curious over who
wields this power. Since the United Nations was created in 1945 there have
been fifteen men appointed to the position of undersecretary-general of
political and security council affairs. Astonishingly, every single one of
them has been a communist!

Some observers feel that fifteen Communists out of
fifteen appointees constitutes a trend of sorts. But whatever we call it,
Trygve Lie, the first secretary-general of the United Nations, revealed
that this pattern was no mere coincidence. In his book In the cause of
Peace Lie wrote: "Mr. Vyshinsky (of the USSR) did not delay his
approach. He was the first to inform me of an understanding which the Big
Five had reached in London on the appointment of a Soviet national as
assistant secretary-general for political and security council affairs...
"Mr. Stettinius (U.S Secretary of State)
confirmed to me that he had agreed with the Soviet delegation in the
matter...
"The preservation of international peace and
security was the organization's highest responsibility, and it was to
entrusting the direction of the Secretariat department most concerned with
this to a Soviet national that the Americans had agreed." (From The
Fearful Master by Edward Griffin)
The most important subject that has been ignored in the campaign this year is that the next four years will see a change in the makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court, when at least one or two Justices retire. Should the next president overturn the present 5-4 conservative majority by handing out nominations for replacements to the leftists, our Bill of Rights will disappear, our economy will collapse and we will see America become a third-world power. And the new Supreme Court will likely decide on the legalities of any new treaties with the United Nations that our next president will agree to, so consider the above history very carefully.
It is unimaginable to think that any person would help elect a Democrat to make this happen yet that is exactly what anyone will do who does not vote for the Republicans.
