Chief Justice John Roberts: Asshole of the Century.

Those who stand too close to the light of knowledge are often blinded to the truth. You can quote me on that. The most educated people seem unable to visualize the gravity of their decisions, especially when the consequences of those decisions do not apply to themselves. So now it seems that Chief Justice John Roberts cares little about the Death Panels or the Socialized Medicine scheme that he approved in his joining with the leftists on the Supreme Court. Why? Because the health care plan that he has for himself and his family is not the Obamacare that he has forced down our throats. This is my opinion and for the time being it is protected by my 1st Amendment Constitutional Rights. Chief Justice John Roberts, in spite of his high education and vast knowledge of the law, gets my nomination for Asshole of the Century. Fox News reported his opinion as follows:
Chief Justice John Roberts, who was appointed during a Republican administration, joined the four left-leaning justices on the bench in crafting the majority decision.

"The Affordable Health Care Act survives largely unscathed," Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of those justices, declared at the end of the reading, claiming the "setbacks" going forward will be "temporary blips, not permanent obstructions."

The ruling relied on a technical explanation of how the individual mandate could be categorized. Roberts, in the opinion, said the mandate could not be upheld under the Constitution's Commerce Clause. However, it could be upheld under the government's power to tax.

"The Affordable Care Act is constitutional in part and unconstitutional in part  The individual mandate cannot be upheld as an exercise of Congress's power under the Commerce Clause," Roberts wrote. "That Clause authorizes Congress to regulate interstate commerce, not to order individuals to engage it. In this case, however, it is reasonable to construe what Congress has done as increasing taxes on those who have a certain amount of income, but choose to go without health insurance. Such legislation is within Congress's power to tax."
Roberts stressed that the decision does not speak to the merits of the law. "We do not consider whether the act embodies sound policies. That judgment is entrusted to the nation's elected leaders," he said.
Now, more than ever before, we need an absolute, veto-proof Republican controlled Congress with the backbone to stand up to the pro-Communist Democratic Party and the Marxist/Socialist imposter in the White House. Today's decision is even more reason why every American who cares about our country should VOTE REPUBLICAN in November.

  1. Roberts is a complete asshole. You are absolutely right about that. Could he not see how his ruling would effect generations to come? For that matter, the other 8 justices as well. My guess is that power & authority for a lifetime appointment went to his head. He has no one to answer to...which is why he thumbed his nose at the Constitution & the American people. Fuck you, John Roberts.

  3. Really feel the need to apologize in advance. Not one for cursing, I am so angry at this decision I can not stand this fucking fuck, John Roberts. The Supreme Court could have put an end to this by ruling the mandate was unconstitutional, but instead, Roberts handed it to all the fucking liberals on a silver platter. He changed it from a mandate to a god damned tax for them! Anyone remember the countless Democrat morons...chief among them Obama...who kept claiming it wasn't a tax over and over and over?? Now, it's a tax for ALL Americans. Or how about Obama saying illegal immigrants wouldn't be covered?? Prompting a "You lie!" during his address. He WAS & IS fucking lying. His end run around the law for illegals a couple of weeks ago...who would like to bet these NON Americans get covered on this shit we are going to TAXED on?? Fuck you, Roberts. Fuck you too, Obama. Fuck.

  4. Roberts is a modern day Judas to the American people. He is a piece of excrement and carries some heavy Karma for his massive sellout today. The poor, the countless millions of fucking illegals (can you imagine how many more will come here now for free Obamacare?!), and very rich are unaffected by Roberts traitorous decision. The middle class got bent over the barrel today. Fuck you, Roberts!

  5. This U.S. government have totally taken away all the freedom that our constitution granted. If the assholes don't like the wording they change the meaning of the word. Without an overthrow of government We are doomed

  6. Because ObamaCare has now been declared a Tax bill, we only need 51 votes in the Senate to repeal, not 60

  7. Anonymous, But we still need 66 votes to override the expected veto. That's why I said we need a veto-proof Republican controlled Congress.

  8. What I am getting is ObamaCare being categorized at a Tax bill helps us tremendously.
    This November:
    1) Keep the House
    2) Win the WH
    3) Pick up 4 Senate seats
Not impossible. Is we do, ObamaCare can be repealed.

  9. John Roberts is truly a great man. He spoke from his heart and did not do what was expected. President Obama should win another Nobel prize for lowering taxes and saving this country from recession. I hope Obama wins which he is going to easily and he will make us a better country. Thank you Obama. Only regret is only 4 more years not President for Life.

  10. Well, anonymous, you sure talk like an Obamabot. "President for Life" is just what every wannabe dictator dreams of. As for your Dear Leader lowering taxes, I think you got that ass-backwards. Read this:

While we were all debating the cost to our liberty due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), we were ignoring the cost to our pockets. If there ever was a reason for bipartisan rage about this law, it should be on the twenty - yes, twenty - hidden new taxes of this law. Making matters even more relevant is that seven of these taxes are levied on all citizens regardless of income. Hence, Mr. Obama’s promise not to raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000 is just another falsehood associated with this legislation.

The first, and best known, of these seven taxes that will hit all Americans as a result of Obamacare is the Individual Mandate Tax (no longer concealed as a penalty). This provision will require a couple to pay the higher of a base tax of $1,360 per year, or 2.5% of adjusted growth income starting with lower base tax and rising to this level by 2016. Individuals will see a base tax of $695 and families a base tax of $2,085 per year by 2016.

The Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Cap, which will begin in 2013, is perhaps the most hurtful provision to the middle class. This part of the law imposes a cap of $2,500 per year (which is now unlimited) on the amount of pre-tax dollars that could be deposited into these accounts.

Another direct hit to the middle class is the Medical Itemized Deduction Hurdle which is currently 7.5% of adjusted gross income. This is the hurdle that must be met before medical expenses over that hurdle can be taken as a deduction on federal income taxes. Obamacare raises this hurdle to 10% of adjusted gross income beginning in 2013.

The fifth new tax on the middle class, and all Americans, is the Health Savings Account (HSA) Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10% currently to 20% beginning in 2013.

There are thirteen other taxes that apply to businesses and that apply to high income (over $250,000 per year) households. While these additional provisions will not impact the middle class directly, they can have serious indirect consequences for middle and low income earners. Beginning in 2014, the Employer Mandate Tax will impose an annual non-deductible tax on employers with more than 50 employees who do not provide health insurance for their employees.

  11. Roberts is a Catholic. Most Catholics are liberals and most Catholics voted for Obama - Roberts is one of these stinking liberals. I'm sure he would vote in favor of Roe V Wade too. Roberts is now in the same camp as Obama - a joke.

  12. I need to understand conservatives. Death Panels, science-denial, fear and hypocrisy on homosexuals, states rights, small government, and government interference . . . Why do you seem so crazy? What is it like to see the world through you crazy goggles? Why/how do you ignore facts, truth when the truths really don't even conflict with your "beliefs?" Please, I need to understand. I know you are not stupid. So, why do conservatives seem to be nothing but stupid?

I'm sure I seem stupid to you and your readers, as well. But, that's just what I'm talking about. I studied at Chicago, took a year at Oxford and then earned my MBA from well respected University. I'm not stupid, either. So, why can't I understand any of you?

    1. No, you are not stupid. You are deprived. You have just been exposed to a one-sided point of view all of your academic life and you had nothing to compare it with. You get your news from a pro-Democrat, liberal news media that only prints the news that supports their bias and seems to exist solely for the purpose of defending and covering up.

  14. Roberts lied on his application for his seat after his nomination. I believe Obama threatened him with this up to including a threat to impeach him. Roberts suffers from seizures and he lied about that on his application after he was nominated. He had a seizure right after he became chief justice. The problem is, if you get rid of him now he will be replaced with someone worse.
