Twitter screen shot from Muslim girl after the Boston Marathon bombing. |
Sorry to disappoint you Hend, but the Boston Marathon bombers were both devout Muslims. Maybe you don't understand your own religion well enough to see how easy it is for a Muslim to be a terrorist. Then again, maybe you do and because you've read about so many other Muslims who've been arrested for similar bombing plots you fear the backlash. Here are a few snips from the news rolls today.
Huffington Post reported:
The suspects were identified to The Associated Press as coming from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars. A law enforcement intelligence bulletin obtained by the AP identified the surviving bomb suspect as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old who had been living in Cambridge, Mass.
Interesting mention about that YouTube account. Here is a screen shot with the account number: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThDULpf2EXQ&list=PLPuUsYCtPwgb_NBDc_Y2PdenExr6BFSrzDaily Events reported:
The Boston Marathon terrorists are a pair of brothers, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his 19-year-old brother Dzhokar. They've been U.S. residents for at least a year, after fleeing from Chechnya. They are reportedly Muslims, and fans of Islamist terrorism, with Tamerlan maintaining a YouTube account dedicated to that purpose.
The videos are pro-Islam but the language and text are in Russian.

Their uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, told reporters outside his home in Montgomery County, Maryland, that his brother's family arrived in the United States in 2003 and was granted asylum. He said he had not seen them since December 2005 and last spoke with them in 2009.
Asked what might have motivated his nephews to carry out such an attack, he said: "Being losers; hatred to those who were able to settle themselves. These are the only reasons I can imagine."
Though the family is Muslim, their religion played no role in the attacks, the uncle insisted. "Anything else to do with religion, with Islam, it's a fraud, it's a fake," he said. He described the family as peace-loving, ethnic Chechens. "Somebody radicalized them, but it's not my brother, who just moved back to Russia, who spent his life bringing bread to their table, fixing cars," he said. "My family had nothing to do with that family. Of course, we're ashamed, yes, we're ashamed they're children of my brother."
"Somebody radicalized them" blame it on everyone else except their religion. Yes, the Tsarnaev brothers were radicalized but it didn't take much to do it. Look no further than the hate-filled texts in their religion and the religious war back home in Chechnya. The Islamic Chechnyan conflict in their homeland is a war being waged against Russia for which America has had no part. The Chechnyans apparently want only Islamic Sharia Law to rule their nation as per the teachings of Islam that true Muslims are forbidden from acknowledging man-made governments. Russia, being the legitimate government of the territory, thinks differently. And both groups involved are about as violent as they get. As you recall, it was Chechen Islamists who stormed a school in Beslan, Russia, murdering more than 300 people, half of them children. But it was the Russian anti-terrorist forces that flooded the auditorium with a deadly gas to stop it. But the Islamic religion is the same fanaticism that motivated other attacks against Americans since 9/11, particularly the bloodiest assault by Islamist Nidal Malik Hasan, who murdered 14 and wounded 29 others at Ft. Hood, while yelling "Allahu Akbar!" Devout Muslims like the Tsarnaev brothers simply need to be reminded about what their religion was all about: practicing hatred toward all non-believers in Islam and "Killing them where you find them".
As reported in a story on Breitbart.com, Boston Terrorists Not Right-Wing Americans
It is also important to recognize that our mainstream news media is primarily pro-Democrat and leftist oriented and jump at every opportunity to throw suspicion and accusations against conservatives and Republicans and the Tea Party, as they did in the Boston Marathon bombing and the Aurora, Colorado movie theater massacre, for so many acts of terrorism and violence. And that same biased news media almost always ignores the Islamic connection that motivates the acts of terrorism. It’s critically important to recognize that there are countless peaceful and patriotic Muslim Americans, and they must not be lumped in with terrorists. But given our history, it’s not “anti-Muslim” to note when a terrorist is Muslim and motivated by fanatical religious beliefs.
