Lies, scandal & coverup: the liberal media are working hand in glove with the White House on all three.  Whether it’s simply ignoring major scandals – like 80% of stimulus green energy money going to top Obama donors – or helping Atty. General Eric Holder by repeating his lies on what he knew and when he knew it on Fast & Furious, the liberal media couldn’t be any deeper in President Obama’s pocket.

The liberal media make it their business to savage conservatives at every turn; they do so without regard for facts or details of any perceived scandal. They even create scandals where none exist. But when our multi-millionaire Vice President charges rent to the Secret Service ( i.e. . . the taxpayers) who are at his home to protect him, the media look the other way.

The White House pressuring a top general to change his Congressional testimony regarding Pentagon fears about a company’s cell network interfering with military communications is a major scandal and one that endangers our national security.

The scandal gets bigger when it comes to light that the company, LightSquared, is owned by major Obama donors.  It get bigger yet when it comes to light that the President himself was an early investor in the company.  Yet the liberal media are content to ignore a bombshell like this, simply because it will damage their hero at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Most recently, it has come to light that the Obama Administration has handed a no-bid, half billion contract to make a smallpox drug of dubious value to a company owned by a major Obama backer.  Readers of Michelle Malkin’s column at CNSNews.com now all of the details of this shocking Chicago-style corruption, but those millions of Americans who rely solely on the network newscasts, are completely unaware.

Roll in the fact that as the various Occupy protests around the country devolve in violent mobs, the media have decided not to mention Barack Obama’s embarrassing support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

This double standard is poisoning our nation

Nelson, this gets to the very heart of liberal media bias.  Any hint of a scandal, no matter how dubious the source or how little information there may be, if it involves a conservative, the liberal media will shout it from the rooftops. But if a scandal might damage a liberal, major newspapers and television networks all keep their mouths shut hoping no one will hear of it!  Simply consider the so-called “sex scandals” of Herman Cain and John McCain compared to the hush-hush treatment for liberal presidential candidate John Edwards (who is now under indictment).

Yet the waterfall of scandals pouring out of this White House are routinely ignored until Congressional subpoenas are flying, and even then, White House spin is reported as fact.

Associate Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan has declined to recuse herself from ruling on the upcoming Obamacare case NFIB v. Sebelius, to be decided next summer, joined by 26 states arguing that abortion-funding nationalized health insurance is unconstitutional.  

A new poll shows 47% oppose Obamacare, 42% favor, and 11% are undecided.  But Justice Elena Kagan recently declined to recuse herself from deciding this case.

Kagan personally strategized, and her office lobbied to pass the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" (Obamacare) when she served as President Obama's Solicitor General, making Kagan highly biased today.  How can a judge impartially decide whether a law she helped write and lobbied to pass is valid?  She cannot.

Federal law requires judges recuse themselves in such cases, so KAGAN NOW VIOLATES THE LAW AND SHOULD BE IMPEACHED if she refuses to recuse.

Friends, we fought against the pro-abortion funding provisions of Obamacare by faxing over a million petitions to Congress.  We fought against Kagan's appointment to the Supreme Court with nearly a quarter million petitions.  We helped persuade 26 state attorneys general to join the lawsuit NFIB v. Sebelius to defeat Obamacare in court.

We're now joining the final battle at the Supreme Court of the United States, to defeat Obamacare permanently, but one biased Justice Elena Kagan could decide our fate.

Beware of the cornered Rat.

Aside from the historical fact that rats spread the plague throughout Europe during the Dark Ages, rats have always been known as the purveyors of dirty deeds. One of the most dangerous aspects of rats becomes evident when they are backed into a corner and must fight to survive. But enough with the allegory, we all know of one cornered rat that we must all be wary of: Barack Hussein Obama, who's approval ratings have plummeted and continued employment is in grave jeopardy. The cornered rat is known to kill its own kind for survival and we have seen the ballyhooed demise of Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki authorized by fellow Muslim Barack Hussein Obama, which may be proof positive. Now we see the escalating violence being committed by the leftist, pro-communist Occupy Wall Street gang which has been endorsed and encouraged by the usurper in the White House and the rising number of arrests by local police.  I still think that Obama is following his old adviser Rahm Emanuel's strategy to "Never let a crisis go to waste" and hopes to make political capitol from his endorsed legions occupying our cities. But in order to postpone his inevitable defeat in next year's election, Obama needs to remove the elections from the equation problem. So watch and see if Obama calls out the National Guard or even the U.S. Army to squash the protesters and make a big display of his strong action to protect public safety to improve his image and while doing so declare Martial Law across our land. These are the necessary steps for a petty dictator to stay in office when he finds himself backed into a corner. And don't make any bets that he would try to protect his comrades in the process. 

Why does Islam remind me of George Orwell's "Animal Farm"?

Aside from the unintended symbolic pigs that were the main characters in George Orwell's classic denunciation of totalitarian movements, the "Animal Farm", whenever I come across some news item from a predominantly Muslim country about the persecution of minority religions I am reminded of the famous scene from the movie. In the animated 1954 feature movie "Animal Farm", the animals were stirred into a revolt and the instigators had painted a sign on the side of the barn that said: "All Animals are Created Equal." Then the farmer was driven off his farm and the animals took over with the corrupt pigs in charge. Overnight, someone added a new message to the sign on the barn that said: "But some are more equal than others."

In Indonesia, where Barack Hussein Obama was raised as a Muslim and learned how to salute the flag by placing his hands over his crotch, there is a professed belief that Islam is tolerant of all other religions. At least that is the official perception portrayed in the gullible leftist news media. But then one reads news items from sources within Indonesia that paint a much different picture. Like this story from AsiaNews reposted at Jihad Watch:

Indonesia: Mayor blocks all access roads to church, in defiance of court order

This is the same mayor who earlier decided that churches can't be built on streets with "Islamic" names. How higher levels of government respond to this latest escalation will determine whether we see more officials like Mayor Budiarto emerge in Indonesia. Behavior that is rewarded by inaction is likely to be repeated and intensified, as Budiarto's own track record in Bogor has shown.
"Moderate" Indonesia is paralyzed with indecision for the sake of saving face: it does not want to make a high-profile, public decision that would stop Muslims from enforcing Sharia over the constitution. It wants legislation that looks good on paper, and to have the dust settle quietly in practical matters at some point. When Islamic supremacists gain sufficient strength, the legislation will catch up.
"Bogor: mayor shuts down access roads to Yasmin Church, thus breaking the law," from Asia News, November 14:

Bogor (AsiaNews) – Bogor Christians celebrated Mass at home yesterday. After the ban on meeting at their church, members of the Yasmin Church (KGI) were not allowed to hold their Sunday service in the street. Despite criticism and international focus on the case, Bogor Mayor Diano Budiarto continues to refuse to bow to public opinion and a court order. In his latest action, he has exceeded his authority and blocked all access roads to the Yasmin Church. A dozen of local plainclothes security agents and uniformed police did not however prevent anti-Christian extremists from blocking one access road to the place of worship. In the end, Christian worshipers went to the home of a parishioner to celebrate Sunday service.

This is the first time in months that this happens since Budiarto’ decision to freeze the construction of the church despite the fact that the congregation had all the right permits.

In a message to AsiaNews, a KGI spokesman, attorney Bona Sigalingging, said that opposition to the church comes from the Muslim Indonesia Communications Forum (Forkami), an organisation chaired by Ahmad Iman, a local extremist.

Indonesia: Muslim violence against religious minorities "relentless" 

When even the reliably dhimmi Time Magazine notices Muslim intolerance and persecution of people of other faiths (and "heretical" Muslims like the Ahmadis), you know the situation has gotten very bad in modern, moderate Indonesia. "The Other Indonesia," by Emily Rauhala in Time Magazine, November 21:

[...] A key measure of the level of justice and compassion in any society is how it treats its minorities — often its most vulnerable citizens. On that score, Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, is failing. In the past year, public violence against religious minorities, who together make up about 12% of the 240 million population, has been relentless: there has been a slew of incidents, from burnings and bombings of churches to attacks by radical Muslims on moderates. The authorities appear unable or unwilling to firmly intervene.

Further down in this story is this enlightened admission, the statement that so much reminded me of the message on the barn wall in the Animal Farm.

I raised the Ahmadiyah verdict with Suryadharma Ali, Indonesia's Minister of Religious Affairs, one of whose responsibilities is to keep the peace among all faiths. Suryadharma was unapologetic in tone: he said Indonesia respects religious freedom, but that minorities could not use that freedom to "completely modify" Islamic beliefs. He also defended regulations that ban Ahmadis from proselytizing or openly practicing their faith. The minister compared antagonism toward Ahmadis to flag burning: "Your country would get angry if you burned their flag. And the case of religion is higher than the flag." Perhaps so, but for Indonesia to be truly the modern, moderate society it claims to be, it needs to show through word and deed that it will not tolerate intolerance.

Well, at least Saudi Arabia isn't as hypocritical as Indonesia when it comes to other religions. If you are stupid enough to go there and your intentions are not to become a martyr for your faith, don't think of carrying a bible or a cross because it is against the law and they have an official religious police to enforce it. And there are NO churches (or synagogues) in Saudi Arabia at all. They are outlawed by Islamic Sharia Law. But they do have someone from America who bows before their king.

 

Arming the terrorists: What no one has learned from history dooms everyone to repeat it.

The web site Jihad Watch posted this story today about the Israeli government owned airline El Al modifying its fleet of passenger jets with anti-missile defenses. Great news for El Al passengers that someone had the foresight to deal with the possible threat from the thousands of missing surface-to-air missiles that were looted from the arsenal of Muammar Gaddafi, the late dictator of Libya. Maybe Israel has a longer history than we do so they have learned the hard way that if you ignore a threat you are doomed to suffer from it.

Israel rushes new airliner defenses into place after jihadist groups obtain Libyan surface-to-air missiles

The costs of the Great Libyan Jihadist Garage Sale continue to spread. Just the other day, Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb affirmed that it had acquired part of Gaddafi's former arsenal.

"Israel rushes airliner defenses as Libya leaks SAMs," by Dan Williams for Reuters, November 11:

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Israel has accelerated the installation of anti-missile defenses on its airliners, a security official said on Friday, seeing an enhanced risk of attack by militants using looted Libyan arms.

Jets flown by El Al and two other Israeli carriers are being equipped with a locally made system known as C-Music that uses a laser to "blind" heat-seeking missiles, the official said, giving a 2013 target for fitting most of the fleet.

As a stop-gap, Israel is adapting air force counter-measures for use aboard civilian planes, said the official, who declined to elaborate on the technologies involved, or to be identified.

"We have long been aware of the threat and were ahead of the rest of the world in preparing for it. Libya has meant government orders to step things up even further," the official said, citing intelligence assessments that chaos during the North African nation's uprising against Muammar Gaddafi allowed trafficking of Libyan shoulder-fired missiles to Palestinians and al Qaeda-linked groups in the Egyptian Sinai.

Too bad the U.S. Army didn't think to guard Saddam Hussein's arms depot in Baghdad after our successful invasion of Iraq in 2003. I wrote about that here on March 27, 2011. The arms depot belonging to Saddam in Baghdad had thousands of tons of 155mm artillery shells laying around unguarded after Saddam's Revolutionary Guard had vanished when the U.S. arrived. Within a matter of days, those unguarded shells had been carted off and converted into IED's that have killed and maimed thousands of our troops over the years.

Arming the terrorists is no different from giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Treason is specifically defined in the United States Constitution, the only crime so defined. Article III Section 3 delineates treason as follows: "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

Four decades ago, many people considered actress Jane Fonda's visit to North Vietnam, posing with soldiers and aiming an anti-aircraft gun in the direction of U.S. Navy aircraft was an act of treason for  "Giving aid and comfort" to the enemy. The leftist news media never pursued the story but nevertheless Fonda's movie career floundered due to the public rejection. Fonda was never charged with treason though many people, especially veterans, thought she should have been.

Jump forward to the initial days of the Bush invasion of Iraq and the capture of Baghdad. The great military arsenal of Saddam Hussein was pictured briefly in the news. Acres and acres of unguarded artillery shells stacked on the open ground. Within a few days almost all of that ordnance simply disappeared and for years our troops paid a terrible price for it. The web site FAS Strategic Security Blog  carried this story on its April 2009 blog.

Iraq’s Looted Arms Depots: What the GAO Didn’t Mention

In a recent report, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) attributes the looting of Iraq’s arms depots to the “ovewhelming size and number” of these depots and “prewar planning priorities and certain assumptions that proved to be invalid.” The report finds that the US military “did not adequately secure these [conventional munitions storage] sites during and immediately after the conclusion of major combat operations” and “did not plan for or set up a program to centrally manage and destroy enemy munitions until August 2003…” The munitions looted from Iraqi arsenals, claims the GAO, have been used extensively in the deadly improvised explosive device (IED) attacks that have become tragically commonplace in Iraq. But the IED threat is only part of the story. Iraq’s arsenals were also brimming with shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missiles, thousands of which disappeared during the widespread looting of the regime’s numerous arms depots in 2003.

Get the picture? Those looted artillery shells have become the substance of the Improvised Explosive Devices that have maimed and killed thousands of American soldiers. Yet not one U.S. military officer was ever court marshaled for failing to secure those weapons in the days following the fall of Baghdad. How quickly the war in Iraq could have ended had we managed to keep that arsenal out of the hands of the enemy insurgents will never be known.

Another web site The Warning Signs  has a more recent story on March 11, 2011 about the looting of Muammar Gaddafi's weapons depot in Libya and how many of these weapons will be at the disposal of al Qaeda terrorists. Will Libya Again Become The Arsenal Of Terrorism?

The arms depots in Libya have been looted by a number of different actors ranging in motivation from anti-Gadhafi freedom fighters to jihadists to outright thieves and thugs. While the weapons are now being used mostly to fight Col. Moammar Gadhafi’s remaining forces, they could later be diverted to other uses. Arms, ammunition and explosives looted from Libyan arms depots today will likely be serviceable for decades, and the thriving transnational black arms market will provide a mechanism for groups and individuals to sell looted weapons or those received from foreign governments. The bottom line is that weapons from Libya will be available on the black arms market for many years to come.

But the most alarming news about the looting of the weapons depots in Libya comes from Pamela Geller's web site Atlas Shrugs, today in a story she picked up from the Australian web site News.com.au. Among the looted weapons taken from Libya it was confirmed that a number of Russian made SAM 7 surface -to-air guided missles were also stolen.

'Al-Qaeda snatched missiles' in Libya

AL-QAEDA'S offshoot in North Africa has snatched surface-to-air missiles from an arsenal in Libya during the civil strife there, Chad's President says.

Idriss Deby Itno did not say how many surface-to-air missiles were stolen, but told the African weekly Jeune Afrique that he was "100 per cent sure" of his assertion.

"The Islamists of al-Qaeda took advantage of the pillaging of arsenals in the rebel zone to acquire arms, including surface-to-air missiles, which were then smuggled into their sanctuaries in Tenere," a desert region of the Sahara that stretches from northeast Niger to western Chad, Deby said in the interview.

"This is very serious. AQIM is becoming a genuine army, the best equipped in the region," he said.

His claim was echoed by officials in other countries in the region who said that they were worried that al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) might have acquired "heavy weapons", thanks to the insurrection.

"We have sure information. We are very worried for the sub-region," a Malian security source who did not want to be named said.

AQIM originated as an armed Islamist resistance movement to the secular Algerian government.

It now operates mainly in Algeria, Mauritania, Mali and Niger, where it has attacked military targets and taken civilian hostages, particularly Europeans, some of whom it has killed.

"We have the same information," about heavy weapons, including SAM 7 missiles, a military source from Niger said.

"It is very worrying. This overarming is a real danger for the whole zone," he added

"AQIM gets the weapons in two ways; people go and look for the arms in Libya to deliver them to AQIM in the Sahel, or AQIM elements go there themselves."

Elsewhere in the interview, Chad's president backed the assertion by his neighbour and erstwhile enemy Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi that the protests in Libya have been driven in part by al-Qaeda.

"There is a partial truth in what he says," Deby said.

"Up to what point? I don't know. But I am certain that AQIM took an active part in the uprising."

So Treason comes in many forms but it ends up as giving aid to the enemy. One-time Muslim Barack Hussein Obama can visit Egypt and provide encouragement to oppressed Muslims and then we watch the beginning of an uprising that quickly spreads across Northern Africa and the Middle East. Out of the chaos comes the change but the news media has blurred the lines of who is good and who is bad. Countries that were ruled by dictators now appear to going under the rule of the Islamic terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of al Qaeda. And these looted weapons will all be used by the Religion of Peace for humanitarian goals. You can bet on it.

Now comes a story from The Christian Science Monitor published two months ago about the Libyan weapons also being looted and carted off. The arsenal in Iraq provided the means to create IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) to attack American ground soldiers, but the thousands of hand-held SAM surface-to-air missiles from Libya will enable Islamic terrorists to attack in-flight aircraft, both military and civilian - anywhere and everywhere.

As Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC) hunt for and collect the weapons that fueled Muammar Qaddafi's war machine, they are quickly learning that some choice pieces of his vast stockpile of mines, mortars, and explosives are missing.

At newly discovered weapons-storage sites, thousands of shoulder-held surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) are unaccounted for. Now we know the origin of the word "Islamophobia".

The following was picked up today from Jihad Watch. I have often thought about the self-defeating term Islamophobia since a fear cannot be a false fear when they really are trying to kill you.

Amnesty International pushing Muslim Brotherhood-invented concept of "Islamophobia"

As David Horowitz and I show in our pamphlet Islamophobia: Thoughtcrime of the Totalitarian Future, the term "Islamophobia" is a politically manipulative coinage designed to intimidate critics of Islamic supremacism and jihad into silence.

Claire Berlinski explains how Islamic supremacists from the Muslim Brotherhood devised it for precisely that purpose:

Now here's a point you might deeply consider: The neologism "Islamophobia" did not simply emerge ex nihilo. It was invented, deliberately, by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought, which is based in Northern Virginia. In another article concerning the many moderate Muslims whose voices have been drowned out by Saudi-financed Muslim Brotherhood front groups, Muhammad describes the strategy behind the word's invention:

In an effort to silence critics of political Islam, advocates needed to come up with terminology that would enable them to portray themselves as victims. Muhammad said he was present when his then-allies, meeting at the offices of the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT) in Northern Virginia years ago, coined the term "Islamophobia." 

Muhammad said the Islamists decided to emulate the homosexual activists who used the term "homophobia" to silence critics. He said the group meeting at IIIT saw "Islamophobia" as a way to "beat up their critics."

And Amnesty International is buying: "Panel seeks to end racial, religious prejudice," by Anna Geary for the Daily O'Collegian, November 10:

The Oklahoma State Chapter of Amnesty International is taking strides to combat racial and religious prejudice this Saturday.

 "Islamophobia: A Conference on American-Islamic Relations," will feature panelists discussing Muslim-Christian relations, women's rights in Islam, Muslim political concerns and other issues associated with Islam in America. The conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Murray Hall 035, with catering from the House of Greek. 

In light of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the event addresses national and worldwide changes in the treatment of Muslims. Matthew Alexander, former head of U.S. military interrogations in Iraq, will discuss the effects of Islamophobic practices on national security in a keynote address.

Want to stop "Islamophobia"? Here is an easy way. Muslims can:

1. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.
2. Renounce definitively, sincerely, honestly, and in deeds, not just in comforting words, not just "terrorism," but any intention to replace the U.S. Constitution (or the constitutions of any non-Muslim state) with Sharia even by peaceful means. In line with this, clarify what is meant by their condemnations of the killing of innocent people by stating unequivocally that American and Israeli civilians are innocent people, teaching accordingly in mosques and Islamic schools, and behaving in accord with these new teachings.
3. Teach, again sincerely and honestly, in transparent and verifiable ways in mosques and Islamic schools, the imperative of Muslims coexisting peacefully as equals with non-Muslims on an indefinite basis, and act accordingly.
4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach sincerely against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.
5. Actively and honestly work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.

If Muslims do those five things, voila! "Islamophobia" will evanesce!

Remember Obama’s 2008 promise to create his "civilian national security force"? Here they are.

In his July 2, 2008 campaign speech in Colorado Springs, Obama insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set." The complete statement was: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Exactly what those objectives were that he set was not clear at the time Barack Hussein Obama made those remarks. Later in his campaign we saw instances of Obama’s SEIU union thugs create acts of violence at townhall meetings. We saw the New Black Panther Party intimidate voters outside a polling place in Philadelphia, a criminal act that was dismissed by Barack Hussein Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder. Later the Democrat-controlled Congress passed H.R. 1388 creating just such an army that Obama had called for.

In a bill signed into law on April 21, 2009, H.R. 1388, called the GIVE (Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education) Act, legitimized Barack Hussein Obama's civilian army. The blogosphere and some on the right have been wondering when Obama said he was going to enforce a "National Civilian Security Force" what that means and if it was going to happen. DENVER -- After spending weeks making their presence known across from the state capital building, Occupy Denver took their message on the road to the Crowne Plaza in downtown Denver.

Not once, but twice.

Friday afternoon, members of occupy Denver stormed the Crowne Plaza hotel lobby, where a large group of conservative bloggers was meeting. One Occupy Denver protester was arrested by Denver police.

Then, early Friday night, about 50 Occupy Denver protesters showed up again, this time staying outside the hotel. A handful of the Tea Party bloggers met them outside, cell phone cameras rolling.

Members of the Occupy Denver protest tried to crash a conference of conservative bloggers sponsored by Freedom Works today. The protesters were quickly outnumbered, surrounded and drowned out by the conservative bloggers including Big Hollywood's John Nolte, Big Journalism's Dana Loesch and Breitbart.tv's Larry O'Connor. As the police arrived and began making arrests the crowd of bloggers began chanting, "Breitbart, Breitbart!"

This happened on the 73rd anniversay of Kristallnacht: the "Night of Broken Glass," referring to the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms that took place on November 9 and 10, 1938, throughout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. It set the stage for what was to come. Welcome to O-merica.

    NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – There’s shock and outrage in Brooklyn today after several cars were torched and numerous pieces of anti-Semitic vandalism took place in Midwood.

    The incident was discovered at around 5 a.m., when residents awoke to see cars burning.

    At least three cars were set ablaze and dozens of pieces of anti-Semitic graffiti were plastered along benches. The cars were damaged and the benches vandalized along Ocean Parkway between Avenues I and J. Among the vandalism: “KKK” scrawled nearby, as well as numerous swastikas.

    “People are nervous, people are concerned,” Assemblyman Dov Hikind said. “The police are putting extra manpower into the community at synagogues and all over.”

    The incident occurred on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, when Hitler’s Nazi’s launched a pogrom against Jews in Germany and Austria.

    “I’m used to swastikas, but three cars destroyed is a whole new dimension,” said Hikind. “Three cars completely destroyed as if someone had dropped them bomb on them is just a real tragedy.”

    “The burning of cars and vandalism of benches in Midwood this morning represents a truly hateful act of prejudice,” said Public Advocate Bill De Blasio in a statement. “That it took place on the anniversary of Kristallnacht leaves no doubt that this attack is a hate crime in every sense, and I applaud the NYPD for investigating it as such.”

    New York City Councilman David Greenfield is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person – or persons – responsible for the incident.

    “We will not accept anti-Semitism in our community. There is zero tolerance for such acts of hatred and ignorance,” said Councilman Greenfield in a statement. “I’m confident that these hateful people will be caught and punished to the full extent of the law.”

    Just a week ago, two libraries and a synagogue in Queens were vandalized with swastikas.

Oregon Police Fear 'Occupy' Protesters Arming Themselves for Looming Confrontation

PORTLAND, Ore. –  Portland police believe that some protesters inside the Occupy Portland encampments are building shields and makeshift weapons -- including nails hammered into wood -- in preparation for when authorities attempt to clear the parks this weekend, police said Friday.

Occupy Portland organizers have repeatedly said the movement is nonviolent and have appealed to demonstrators to resist peacefully when the camps close at midnight on Saturday. They planned public marches and a potluck dinner before the deadline and hoped the public would take part.

But police said as many as 150 anarchists may come to Portland to take part in a possible clash with officers.

"If there are anarchists, if there are weapons, if there is an intention to engage in violence and confrontation, that obviously raises our concerns," Portland police Lt. Robert King said. "But I know we'll be able work through that and manage that, because we want to protect everyone there, especially the peaceful protester."

Occupy violence must cease

Now in its eighth week, the Occupy Wall Street and solidarity protests are seeing an escalation of reported violence by both protesters and police.

Claims of violence by police have been surfacing since the early days of the movement, but so have claims of vandalism and abuse of safety officials by protesters.

Actions and reactions are spiraling into a childish game of finger-pointing where there is only one solution—it's got to stop.

There are no winners when peaceful protests end in violence. Every side involved loses—the protesters, city officials, police and other safety professionals as well as the general public.

The First Amendment protects our rights to peaceably assemble and to protest. The police and city officials are charged with protecting the public interest.

These two ideals have collided with explosive results in many cities around the world. Police and protesters have reported injuries in New York, Los Angeles, Denver and even Rome, Italy but possibly nowhere has been as polarizing as recent events in Oakland where high profile skirmishes have become a black eye to both the protesters and to area police.

The Occupy Violence Escalates: Two Shootings, Two Dead

What do you expect when a bunch of stark-raving mad liberals get together?

    BURLINGTON, Vt. –  A 35-year-old man died Thursday from a gunshot wound sustained at the “Occupy Burlington” encampment, but the circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear, the Burlington Free Press reported.

    The man was transported to a nearby hospital in “grave” condition at around 2:20pm local time but he later died of his wounds. A gun was recovered in City Hall Park, where “Occupy Burlington” protesters have been camped since Oct. 28, the newspaper said.

    Several protesters and a camp organizer said they believe the man shot himself, according to the Free Press and WPTZ-TV.

    Police responded to the area after reports of a gunshot. They removed a motionless man from a green tent and there was blood in the area, the newspaper said.

Then over at the “peaceful”, frequently violent Occupy Oakland encampment:

    OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) – One person has been killed after a gunfight near the Occupy Oakland camp at Frank Ogawa Plaza Thursday evening.

    The shooting took place shortly before 5 p.m. several feet from the 12th Street BART station adjacent to the plaza where Occupy protesters have set up camp.

    A person acting as a spokesperson for the Occupy Oakland movement said an individual who was wounded in the shooting may have been hiding out from a person or a group of people at the encampment shortly before the incident.

    …ABC7′s Laura Anthony was at the Occupy encampment and heard the gunshots. An ABC7 photographer and another individual were assaulted when they attempted to gather video of the shooting scene.

    A crowd quickly formed a human chain around the individual who was shot until police arrived. Oakland police are currently interviewing eyewitnesses to determine what happened.

    Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan confirmed to ABC7 News that the shooting victim passed away from his injuries.

Now I happen to believe that Obama is a smart politician who is extremely adept at using any unscrupulous means to stay in the White House. I previously predicted that as his popularity sinks into the cesspool where he belongs he would consider declaring Martial Law in the name of preserving public safety to postpone the 2012 elections. I considered the possibility that double-digit unemployment along with millions of home foreclosures would produce gangs of starving, homeless people rioting in the streets. That hasn't happened yet so maybe it was necessary for his communist cohorts to instigate the Occupy Wall Street movement. It is a paradox to think that those Wall Street executives from the financial firms that Obama bailed out have made enormous contributions to his reelection campaign are now being targeted by the Obama leftist followers he has encouraged in the Occupy Wall Street protest. But that story and the and the other news about the bankrupted companies that Obama pushed loans to has already been written. Now all we have to do is wait for the National Guard to be called up to squash the violent Occupy movement and the future bloodshed will follow will surely prompt local state and city leaders to demand that Washington do something. And Barack Hussein Obama will then make a public announcement reluctantly declaring that Martial Law was the only way to fix the problem. 

And on that day America's Second Revolution will begin.

Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States, the man who ordered the case against the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation charges dropped, has come out in defense of the Muslim community in America. During a Congressional hearing on Tuesday, Holder said that American Muslims “have the same desires that we all have.” It is not clear if Holder was using a play on words and speaking for himself and for the Muslim in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama when he said that "American Muslims “have the same desires that we all have.”". If Holder meant that American Muslims have the same desires as he and Barack Hussein Obama have then he has unintentionally aligned the Muslims with the Obama plan to bankrupt America and the destruction of American Liberty.

In an article written by Neil Munro and published yesterday on the Daily Caller, "Eric Holder’s stereotyping of Muslims irresponsible, say critics" updated: 8:10 PM 11/10/2011, it was reported that "Attorney General Eric Holder is stereotyping Muslims in America, and his willful ignorance about the religious roots of Islamic terrorism endangers Americans and marginalizes Muslim reformers, say experts on Islamist terror groups."

The Daily Caller article also mentions some interesting survey polls taken among Muslim groups in the past few years. While most anti-Islamist groups acknowledge that not every Muslim in America is in favor of terrorist acts, there is a significant percentage of the estimated 4-million Muslims living in America that do support terrorism.

"The diversity and divisions of opinion among Muslim Americans is highlighted by the segment of American Muslims who have volunteered to commit terror attacks and by the many Muslims who vociferously oppose those attacks. It is also carefully documented in recent surveys."

“[A] significant minority (21%) of Muslim Americans say there is a great deal (6%) or a fair amount (15%) of support for extremism in the Muslim American community,” according to an Aug. 30 Pew Research Center report."

"Forty-eight percent of self-identified Muslims in the United States believe the leaders of Muslim political groups have not done enough to speak out against extremism, while 20 percent of Muslim immigrants say they would rather remain distinct from society than integrate, said the report."
