The 2012 presidential campaign has started off with bang and our Dear Leader is flooding the airwaves with boasts about all the new jobs he has created. Well, besides the campaign workers he's hired I can't deny that he hasn't created a few new jobs but I wouldn't go around bragging about some of them if I were in his shoes. You all heard about the controversial provision Obama wanted inserted in the National Defense Authorization Act FY2012, the part about suspending the Constitutional Rights of American Citizens and giving the U.S. Army the authority to snatch off the streets anyone they want and hold them indefinitely. Well, some people began to doubt that such a Police State atmosphere could ever exist in the United States of America. Sorry to have to bust your bubble but the U.S. Army has already listed on their web site www.goarmy.com some new job openings for what they call Internment/Resettlement (I/R) Specialists. Read it below.

Read it carefully and then consider the controversial sections 1031 and 1032 of the National Defense Authorization Act FY2012 (Senate Bill 1867 http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-s1867/text) just passed in the Senate that grants authority to the government to detain indefinitely without trial any American it considers to be a threat.

Also consider that Homeland Security has previously defined the sources of these threats to be American citizens who support 2nd Amendment Rights, Pro-Life and returning combat veterans. As I wrote in my blog on December 2, 2011:

Waiting a few years till the ripples of discontent had subsided and citizens memories faded we then have in the last few days another bill, S.1867 which has just passed in the Senate. The National Defense Authorization Act bill contains the following section. SEC. 1031. AFFIRMATION OF AUTHORITY OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES TO DETAIN COVERED PERSONS PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE. None other than the ACLU has described this as: "The worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial provision is in S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill, which will be on the Senate floor on Monday. The bill was drafted in secret by Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) and passed in a closed-door committee meeting, without even a single hearing."

Let me simplify these qualifications because they probably won't be read by anyone who is too highly educated. The job opening should say: "If you like the idea of walking around with a gun and you like to push people around, beat them up and act like a goon, then your government needs you. If taking an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States doesn't mean much to you then you are the kind of person we're looking for." Just remember one thing. Americans like being free and probably won't take to kindly to seeing you in their neighborhood. Oh, and one more thing, go back and read some stuff about the first American Revolution, its called American History. You might get an idea about how far we'll go for our freedom.

Obama Regime hands huge propaganda victory to radical Islamists seeking to criminalize speech deemed ‘offensive’ to Muslims

At a State Department three-day, closed-door meeting in December 2011 with representatives of the Saudi Arabia-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on measures to fight religious "intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton protrayed the conference as a sign that Washington and the OIC are working together to protect religious freedom around the world.
IPT (H/T TJV) "We have to get past the idea that we can suppress religious minorities, that we can restrict speech, that we are smart enough that we can substitute our judgment for God's and determine who is or is not blaspheming," Clinton said. "I think if we do our work right, in years to come, people will look back and say this was a great step forward on behalf of both (sic) freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and our common humanity."
But according to the Hudson institute's Nina Shea (who attended portions of the conference as an observer), the event was actually a step backward for religious liberty. The meeting seemed to be an exercise in "moral equivalency and pandering to Sunni tyrants in the Middle East," she said.
"The general theme seemed to be that the U.S. has problems just like Saudi Arabia with religious tolerance," she added. "There was a total absence of perspective on all counts."
Pointing to familiar events such the Muhammad cartoon violence, Quran burnings and Muslim objections to the film "Fitna," OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu argued that his organization regarded bigotry as a primarily Western phenomenon. He wrote that "no one has the right to insult another person for their beliefs or to incite hatred and prejudice," and that "freedom of expression has to be exercised with responsibility."

Zamir Akram, Pakistan's permanent representative of the OIC before the U.N. Human Rights Council was more emphatic. He claimed that Resolution 16/18, which expressed concern about "negative profiling" and religious "stereotyping," was driven by Western discrimination against Muslims. Akram also questioned whether Muslims engaged in discrimination, and said Muslims would not compromise on permitting "anything against the Quran, anything against the Prophet."
Given these comments – and Saudi educational materials that encourage the spread of Islam through jihad and demonize Jews, Christians and polytheists – Shea believes U.S. officials are "naïve" to think there will be reciprocity from the OIC when it comes to combating discrimination.
Despite Saudi Arabia's abysmal record of persecuting non-Muslims, the Kingdom received a note of dubious praise from the United Nations General Assembly, which on Monday passed a resolution condemning religious intolerance. According to Shea, the UNGA resolution – passed by consensus with U.S. support – singled out for praise a single program: A Saudi-built "religious dialogue" center in Vienna, Austria.
Given Saudi Arabia's relentless persecution of non-Muslims, the praise is "Orwellian," Shea told the IPT. "They don't dare establish such a program on their own territory."
OIC member states spearheading the anti-blasphemy campaign include Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia – all of which jail or execute "blasphemers." In nations like Egypt and Iraq, Christians are attacked and their churches torched while Muslim-dominated governments are unwilling or unable to protect them.
"In these countries, you have 'cleansing' tolerated by the authorities," Shea noted. "Religious cleansing [of Christians] is underway right now in Egypt and Iraq. It's been completed in Saudi Arabia. Jews have been cleansed from the Sunni Muslim world."
By any measure, Muslims and other religious minorities in the United States face no dangers comparable to religious minorities in the Muslim Arab world. Indeed, like the Bush administration preceding it, the Obama administration has gone to extraordinary lengths to court American Muslims and portray their situation in a very favorable light.
Shea emphasizes that the behavior of OIC participants like Saudi Arabia gives no indication that they are interested in dialogue with minorities in their countries. She said that at the conference, participants largely ignored the vast differences between the United States and OIC member nations in protecting religious minorities.
One legal official (State Department confidentiality rules barred observers from identifying him or his country) gave a "one-sided depiction of American bigotry against religious minorities, including Muslims" in his opening keynote address, Shea said, telling representatives of some of the world's most repressive regimes that America can learn from them about protecting religious tolerance.
Pointing to mounting reports of atrocities and intimidation against Middle East Christians and mass slaughter by the Islamist regime in Khartoum, Shea didn't mince words in characterizing the attitudes of the American conference participants toward their OIC counterparts.
"It's the equivalent of saying to Hitler: 'Well, you have a real problem with the way you treat minorities and we have a problem with limiting the rights of Aryans here.'"
Washington Retreats on Speech Codes
The OIC (previously called the Organization of the Islamic Conference) has pushed for a universal blasphemy law for more than a decade. Since the November 2004murder of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh in the Netherlands and the 2006 riots protesting cartoon depictions of the prophet Mohammad, the group has pressured Western European nations to implement speech codes punishing criticism of Islam.

In March, the Obama administration thwarted the OIC's attempt to win United Nations Human Rights Council passage of a resolution calling for criminal penalties for the "defamation of religions." The following month, Washington engineered Council passage of Resolution 16/18, a nonbinding measure which did not censor speech.
The victory didn't last long. In July, Secretary of State Clinton revived the issue when she co-chaired an OIC session in Istanbul dealing with "religious intolerance." Clinton called on countries to "counter offensive expression through education, interfaith dialogue and public debate," while emphasizing that speech restrictions were unacceptable. She invited conference attendees to a follow-up meeting to continue the dialogue.
OIC officials seized on Clinton's offer by stepping up their campaign for blasphemy laws and speech codes. Based on conversations with U.S. officials, Shea believes that many of them fail to grasp what the OIC represents. They lack essential information about apostasy and blasphemy laws and have "very little knowledge of the illiberal nature of the OIC," she said. "There's a sense of political correctness that prohibits probing of that organization and what it stands for."
Although the United States is unlikely to emulate Western European countries in enacting speech codes, "what we see is self-censorship" by agencies like the State and Homeland Security departments which are barred from discussing issues such as Salafism and jihad. Moreover, "in the media, academia and the entertainment world, we see self-censorship on behalf of Islam. Certain issues are off the table."
Shea believes that this "politically correct" approach to Islamism has disturbing implications for U.S. national security. In the case of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who massacred 13 of his fellow servicemen at Fort Hood in 2009, co-workers emphasized that they were deeply troubled by his jihadist ravings regarded him as a radical Muslim "but didn't report it for fear of being labeled "Islamophobes,'" she noted.

Some thoughts on what makes America so special. While the Democrats in Washington are rapidly trying to dismantle our U.S. Constitution and our Bill of Rights, people in the Middle Eastern Islamic countries are dying in an effort to openly discuss the oppressive military/political/religious culture of Islam. And if there was ever any doubt that that oppressive culture was isolated to one particular geographic area, let me call your attention to an article published in the National Review Online, "Islam is Islam, And That's It" , subtitled, "The Arab Spring was not hijacked, written by Andrew C. McCarthy. To briefly quote from this lengthy, informative piece, here are the first four paragraphs. Please click the link and read the rest.

The Arab Spring was not hijacked

The tumult indelibly dubbed “the Arab Spring” in the West, by the credulous and the calculating alike, is easier to understand once you grasp two basics. First, the most important fact in the Arab world — as well as in Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other neighboring non-Arab territories — is Islam. It is not poverty, illiteracy, or the lack of modern democratic institutions. These, like anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, and an insular propensity to buy into conspiracy theories featuring infidel villains, are effects of Islam’s regional hegemony and supremacist tendency, not causes of it. One need not be led to that which pervades the air one breathes.

The second fact is that Islam constitutes a distinct civilization. It is not merely an exotic splash on the gorgeous global mosaic with a few embarrassing cultural eccentricities; it is an entirely different way of looking at the world. We struggle with this truth, which defies our end-of-history smugness. Enthralled by diversity for its own sake, we have lost the capacity to comprehend a civilization whose idea of diversity is coercing diverse peoples into obedience to its evolution-resistant norms.

So we set about remaking Islam in our own progressive image: the noble, fundamentally tolerant Religion of Peace. We miniaturize the elements of the ummah (the notional global Muslim community) that refuse to go along with the program: They are assigned labels that scream “fringe!” — Islamist, fundamentalist, Salafist, Wahhabist, radical, jihadist, extremist, militant, or, of course, “conservative” Muslims adhering to “political Islam.”

We consequently pretend that Muslims who accurately invoke Islamic scripture in the course of forcibly imposing the dictates of classical sharia — the Islamic legal and political system — are engaged in “anti-Islamic activity,” as Britain’s former home secretary Jacqui Smith memorably put it. When the ongoing Islamization campaign is advanced by violence, as inevitably happens, we absurdly insist that this aggression cannot have been ideologically driven, that surely some American policy or Israeli act of self-defense is to blame, as if these could possibly provide rationales for the murderous jihad waged by Boko Haram Muslims against Nigerian Christians and by Egyptian Muslims against the Copts, the persecution of the Ahmadi sect by Indonesian and Pakistani Muslims, or the internecine killing in Iraq of Sunnis by Shiites and vice versa — a tradition nearly as old as Islam itself — which has been predictably renewed upon the recent departure of American troops.

So how does this open discussion about Islam play out in the heart of darkness? First, a story from Iran c/o APA News. From the APA, Azerbaijan press agency. Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. 7 men and 1 woman were imprisoned in Iran for holding discussions on Islam in the internet.

APA reports that Kamran Ayazi was imprisoned for 9 years, Laden Mustofi for 5 years, Haniye Sane Farshi for 7 years, Hujjatullah Nikuyi for 5 years, Mohammedrza Puneki for 6 years, Mohammedrza Ahlagi for 6 years, Sapehr Ibragimi for 8 years, Amir Latifi for 7 years because of discussing and disputing on Islamic rules in the internet. They were arrested in February 2011 by ETTELAAT. Now they are kept in Tehran prison.

Tebriz resident Haniye Sane Farshi is Azerbaijani and isn’t engaged in political activity.

Just remember: this is exactly what awaits us if we let The World’s First Muslim Human Rights Commission foist their counterfeit Islamic yuman rites package on us.

And don't forget, our very own staunch supporter of the Bill of Rights in America, our Democrat secretary of state Hillary Clinton, has openly expressed interest in the OIC, and in the United Nations efforts to make criticizing Islam a crime. There does seem to be contradiction in how the leftist Democrats in Washington define the term "blasphemy" because they never raise any objections when Christians and Jews are mocked, insulted, attacked or threatened. They only complain when someone says a nasty thing about Muslims.

When an "artist" in this country creates an exhibit showing the crucified Jesus immersed in a jar of urine and titles it "Piss Christ" or makes a video with another crucifix crawling with ants they find no trouble getting sponsored by the taxpayer funded leftist leaning National Endowment for the Arts. Its all in the name of artistic expression and protected by the 1st Amendment. But publish a cartoon depicting Mohammad wearing a bomb in his turban and there is hell to pay for the hate speech and no one is protected by any rights according to Democrats. And lets not forget that in Islam, the mere act of converting to another religion is the ultimate blasphemy and according to the Koran is punishable by death.

What was that old expression we used to say? "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." No, that's not it, I think the more appropriate response is "You got it coming because you asked for it."

Protecting Muslims from Americans - or - Protecting Americans from Muslims?

Two stories in the past two days that bear a significant reading on how truthful news is being distorted to protect those who hate America. First, on the web site Bare Naked Islam, comes a story fairly close to home. BNI reports that in my neighboring state of Ohio, on the campus of Ohio State University, the David Horowitz Freedom Center, placed a full page ad in the OSU campus newspaper, The Lantern, that identified the former leaders of the Muslim Student Association on various college campuses in America and asked Where Are They Now?. Was it because the names listed happened to be those MSA leaders who turned out to be convicted Islamic terrorists that Muslim students became so enraged at the truth being revealed? Read for yourself and decide.

OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY: MUSLIM outrage over advertisement linking Muslim Student Association members with terrorism

Outraged Muslim students at the Ohio State University have mobilized after The Lantern, the campus’s official student-run newspaper, published what they say is a discriminatory advertisement linking the Muslim Student Association to international terrorism.

DH Freedom Center Titled “Former leaders of the Muslim Student Association (MSA)”, the advertisement asks “Where are they now?” and lists nine MSA co-founders and former Presidents as having ties to alleged terrorist groups. One such listing describes Jamal Barzini as both a co-founder of the MSA and a close associate of Hamas.

The advertisement was paid for by FrontPage Magazine, an online publication funded by the David Horowitz Freedom Center, a national institution recognized for its ~~harsh and derogator~~ bold and accurate stance against Islam.

The advertisement, printed on page 2 of the newspaper, drew immediate criticism for its direct assault on Muslim representation on American college campuses. According to Jana Al-Akhras, a 2nd year student and member of the university’s MSA, “it’s a blatant attempt at reinforcing stereotypes and causing widespread fear of Muslims on campus.” (They SHOULD be afraid of Muslims)

Students across campus have already begun to protest the advertisement. “We are writing a letter to the editor,” said Nadia Ismail, a 1st year undergraduate at OSU, and “will be in touch with groups on and off campus” to stand against what Al-Akhras calls a blanket statement labeling Muslim students as security threats. OSU’s MSA is currently planning a course of action. (Can’t take the truth, can you?)

Although The Lantern was not responsible for putting the advertisement together, Al-Akhras says she holds the newspaper accountable. “It wasn’t an op-ed. It was a paid advertisement and they [The Lantern] had all the right to refuse it.”

Asked whether this form of advertisement should be expected, Ismail said that “it has become acceptable to discriminate against Muslims. I don’t think any attack this forthcoming would have been published about any other religion.” (No other religion is synonymous with terrorism)

There is much to discuss about freedom of speech on college campuses but “there’s a fine line between freedom of speech and hate speech,” Al-Akhras said in an interview. To imply that the MSA, assuming the advertisement’s allegations are true, is responsible for international terrorism only “breeds hatred.” (Yes, the truth about Islam creates hatred for Islam)

Both Al-Akhras and Ismail hope this experience will show that discrimination on and off campus will not be tolerated.

Then another story, this time from Jihad watch, that reports about a story in the New York Times (that bastion of leftist apologists) where more Muslims have become outraged that the New York City Police Dept. has been showing a movie called The Third Jihad as part of its counter-terrorism training program to police officers. In the film, there is a scene of a group of Muslims protesting in NYC and one of them is holding a sign showing the black flag of Islam flying over the White House. The NY Times suggests the photo was fake but, in fact, it was not as Jihad Watch posted the original article, Jihad at Ground Zero on February 7, 2006 that showed it.

This whole controversy is epitomized by the photo illustration and lead paragraph of the first New York Times story on this issue: "In Police Training, a Dark Film on U.S. Muslims," by Michael Powell, January 23. The photo shows the black flag of jihad flying above the White House, with the caption, "An Islamic flag atop the White House in 'The Third Jihad.'”

Then the lead paragraph says: "Ominous music plays as images appear on the screen: Muslim terrorists shoot Christians in the head, car bombs explode, executed children lie covered by sheets and a doctored photograph shows an Islamic flag flying over the White House."

Both the Times' use of the image and its reference to it at the beginning of the story suggest that the producers of The Third Jihad doctored the photo themselves in order to push their cockamamie idea that some Muslims want to "infiltrate and dominate America." But in reality, Muslims originated this image, as we have reported here several times. Here is a photo of Muslims holding up this photo at a rally in New York in February 2006:

Islam is the same wherever you go and the proponents all seem to be acting from the same script. In Columbus, Ohio, in New York City or in Pakistan or Iran, or Egypt, or Lebanon, or Syria or any Muslim country: Make it a crime to tell the truth about the violence of this political system, don't remind anyone of the past criminal acts committed by the leaders or the hate speeches they have made. Don't quote the passages from the Koran, no matter how much they spew hatred against Christians and Jews (and 60% of the Koran is about that) because it causes Muslims to become embarrassed. Yes, they become embarrassed when they must try to explain how their Religion of Peace commands so much hatred towards non-Muslims. And how do we handle the truth about Islam when we discover that three independent investigations have found that 80% of the mosques in America have anti-American hate literature on display. How do we feel when the Pew Research Institute surveys Muslims and finds 26% in America approve of killing in the name of their religion. Do we just sweep it under the rug or make believe it doesn't exist or do we do what the Democrats do, like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who joins the United Nations commission to discuss making it a crime to say bad things about Islam? I think its time we followed Gen. George Washington's orders and "Place none but Americans on guard tonight". 2012 is a good time to start.

Obama finds more ways to increase his popularity among poor people and buy their votes.

Everyone know that people on Welfare depend on government handouts and are most reluctant to get off the dole and work for a living like everyone else. After all, what is their incentive? What with free housing and free medical treatment, free food stamps and more money for more kids - Welfare families have become a huge voting block that perpetuate Democrats in government. There is only one other demographic group that Democrats depend on for a gratuitous vote and that is the tens of millions of illegal immigrants that Obama and the Democrats want to grant amnesty to. But the generosity of big government seemingly has no boundaries when it comes to buying votes. Take, for instance, the new program to provide free cell phones to poor people.

This came to my attention today in an email that was written to poke fun at a very unfunny story about the Obama phone. The reason it is not funny is because it is true. First the story then a screen shot of the web page to prove it.

The Obama Phone -

Just when you think you've heard it all, our illustrious Congress quietly comes up with a new zinger to put their hands in your pockets, and pick them while you aren't watching. Isn't this just wonderful ?

I was standing in line at the checkout counter at Wal Mart and as I looked at the line behind me, I saw a couple of people talking about what looked like identical new cell phones, bragging about the fact that their phones were free and so was the airtime. The woman in line behind me had heard the same exchange and turned to the young man behind her and asked, 'Is that a new type of cell phone?' The young man replied, 'Yes, this is my new Obama phone. She asked him what an Obama phone was, and he went on to say that, 'Welfare recipients are now eligible to receive what he described as (1) a FREE new cell phone, and (2) approximately 250 FREE minutes of air time every month.'

Needless to say, I was a little skeptical about his answer, so when I got back home, I Googled it, and lo and behold, he was telling the truth. This was what I discovered:

SafeLink Wireless is a government supported program that provides a free cell phone and airtime each month for income-eligible customers. In other words, your tax dollars are being distributed to a wireless phone provider to provide welfare recipients with free cell phones and airtime. I don't know about you, but as for me, enough is enough. We are $14 Trillion in debt, Congress is balking at continuing unemployment payments to those who want to work, and Congress is increasing the dole-out to dead beats.

The ship of State is sinking, and it's sinking fast. The old concept of getting ahead through hard work has flown out the window. It has been replaced by Obama's and Congress' idea of Hope and Change. The country has changed all right, changed to "Why should I work for it, when I can get it for free?"

Now don't you feel better knowing that the less fortunate can enjoy some of the indispensable pleasures you work so hard to pay for? And on the same subject of government handouts, keep in mind that almost all of them have a way of enriching the pocketbooks of the Democrat faithful who, in turn, make those huge political contributions (make that kickbacks). BTW, have you heard about the other Obama scandal involving the solar power company, Solyndra, it also has the same plot. Risky and questionable huge government loans, company officials make contributions to Democrats, company files for bankruptcy. Taxpayers foot the bill.

In New York City they have a welfare industry called temporary housing that consists of several hotels that the city Welfare Agency contracts with for emergency housing. These figures may be undervalued because the story is a few years old. These hotel owners rake in an average of 10-million dollars a year per building and the temporary accommodations are usually more permanent than temporary. And the owners of the hotels are very big contributors to local Democrat politicians. To make matters worse, some years ago a big NYC newspaper revealed that the amount of money the city paid for to accommodate those welfare families could have purchased each of them a house equal to $250,000 in value.

And on the subject of poking fun at Democrat supported Welfare Programs, in the emails I receive, here is a little gem that was contained in a letter-to-the editor of a newspaper in Waco, Texas. These are my sentiments, completely, and I couldn't have said it any better.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we'll test
recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?

You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We
will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't. welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

The director of the Holy See Press Office has used his weekly message to draw attention to the plight of persecuted Christians.

“The recent annual report of the international evangelical non-governmental organization Open Doors on the persecution of Christians in the world contains a world index of persecution according to which the first ten places are occupied by the following countries in descending order: North Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iran, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Iraq and Pakistan,” notes Father Federico Lombardi.

“Among the most serious concerns, the increase in Islamic extremism merits special attention,” he continued. “Persons and organizations dedicated to extremist Islamic ideology perpetrate terrible acts of violence in many places throughout the world: the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria is but one example. Then there is the climate of insecurity that unfortunately in some countries accompanies the so-called “Arab spring”--a climate that drives many Christians to flee and even to emigrate.”

“Such sufferings are a part of the Christian journey,” Father Lombardi concluded. “Nor ought we be amazed. Jesus said so in the Sermon on the Mount: ‘Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,’ is the last of the Beatitudes; its promise is reward in heaven.”

To briefly quote from a Wall Street Journal column on April 9, 2009, entitled Will Islam Return Obama's 'Respect'? written by Daniel Henninger, deputy editor of The Wall Street Journal's editorial page:

The subject of this column is the status of minority faith groups, mostly Christian, living inside Islamic countries. That status is poor. In some cases it verges on extinction, after centuries of coexistence with Islam. So it is useful to review what Mr. Obama said of his goals for living with Islam:

"I know that the trust that binds the United States and Turkey has been strained, and I know that strain is shared in many places where the Muslim faith is practiced. So let me say this as clearly as I can: The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam. . . .

"We seek broader engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. We will listen carefully, we will bridge misunderstandings, and we will seek common ground. Afghan children told by Mullahs their suicide vests wont hurt them.

The British newspaper, The Telegraph, has a story today about children in Afghanistan that are being brainwashed by Islamic clerics into wearing suicide vest bombs. The Islamic Mullahs have convinced them through intense anti-American indoctrination that when they detonate their bombs that Allah will protect them from harm while they kill the Westerners. One thing about Islam is the consistency in its teachings. And, as the intrepid anti-jihad web site Jihad Watch comments, this situation is a win-win situation for the Muslim fanatics because, "What they really want is to place NATO forces in a situation where they have to decide between dying in a bombing and using force to stop the bomber. The propaganda mill would then say that NATO forces fired on a child." And, yes, I seem to recall reading about those incidents in the hysterical leftist American newspapers.

Child suicide bombers say they were told by their handlers that the "bombs would not kill us, only the Americans would die".
The mission was as simple as touching two wires together, the little boy was promised. The resulting blast would obliterate the American infidels – but God would spare him from the flame and shrapnel. Abdul Samat would be unharmed and free to run back to the men who had fitted his bomb vest.

Blindfolded and rigged with his explosive payload, the boy, who was about 13, was driven to his target in the Afghan city of Kandahar, after being plucked from the streets of Quetta in neighbouring Pakistan. Minutes before he was due to execute the attack, however, Abdul realised the lies of his recruiters seeking to turn him into a human bomb.

The largely illiterate boys are fed a diet of anti-Western and anti-Afghan government propaganda until they are prepared to kill, he said. But the boys are also assured that they will miraculously survive the devastation they cause.

"The worst part is that these children don't think that they are killing themselves," said the official. "They are often given an amulet containing Koranic verses. Mullahs tell them, 'When this explodes you will survive and God will help you survive the fire. Only the infidels will be killed, you will be saved and your parents will go to paradise'."

That intense anti-American indoctrination is not confined just to Afghanistan. It is the basis of the Wahhabi text material taught in Muslim schools in Saudi Arabia and in the mosques in America financed by the Saudi government. And the practice of using children to carry out suicide bomb missions is a common practice found in many Muslim countries, including Palestine where the terrorist group Hamas, supported by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), publicly displays them.

How many times must we read about how the followers of Islam love death as much as we love life. And how often must we be reminded that Barack Hussein Obama says we must respect Islam. How many times, before we realize the Religion of Peace is not what it says it is.

Allowing Islamic Sharia law in America by way of precedent.

I have written about certain Muslim groups in America who have petitioned courts to allow Sharia law to be applied to cases rather than U.S. Civil Law. In a few of these cases the courts have allowed it then reversed the rulings upon appeal in higher courts. But every religion has their own beliefs and laws and Islamic Sharia Law is only one of them. Here in Kentucky a particular group of Amish men who belong to a conservative breakaway group of Amish known as Swartzentruber have refused to carry the reflective orange triangle signs on the back of their buggies to warn motorists of their presence because the buggies do not carry lights. Ten men from this sect were arrested and a court in Mayfield, Kentucky sentenced one of them to 10 days in jail for refusing to pay the fine. The others have not yet been sentenced. According to the Kentucky Post web site: "The men have a religious objection to the bright orange signs, which they say are flashy and conflict with their pledge to live low-key and religious lives." The group has appealed to the Kentucky Supreme Court to grant them an exception to this law. If such an exception is allowed, then the precedent will open the door to allow any religious group to ask for other exceptions to their own laws. And that includes Islamic groups who want to replace our laws with Sharia Law.

The ugly fact about precedent is that once it starts there is no end to it. Thankfully, the courts have rejected appeals to have Sharia Law applied to terrorist cases when the defendants claim they did nothing wrong because their religion allowed their actions. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, better known as the Underwear Bomber who attempted to blow up a Detroit bound airliner on Christmas Day in 2009, was on trial in U.S. District Court. According to a story posted on The Blaze, on September 14, 2011, "Earlier on Wednesday, the debate over Islamic law found its way back into the headlines when a judge refused Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s request to be judged by Islamic, rather than American, law. He expressed disappointment with Federal Judge Nancy Edmunds’ decision. He reiterated his belief that the Quran, Islam’s holy book, should set the rules governing his case."

But minor cases involving non-criminal matters between members of the same religion have found courts allowing religious law to be applied. A Florida appeals court has just cleared the way for lawsuit over a monetary dispute at a mosque to be determined by Islamic Sharia law -- in a U.S. court. Despite the fact that this went to a Federal Court and not a State court, it is still nothing new since Jewish Talmudic law has been equally applied to monetary disputes and Talmudic Courts even exist in the orthodox Jewish communities in New York City.

But the distinction needs to be made between monetary disputes and criminal law. On the web site Townhall, there is an excellent article entitled "The Shariah Threat" by Kathy Jessup that brings to light the extreme cases of this problem. One case that almost slipped through the cracks was thankfully overturned.

In New Jersey a judge refused a protection order for a woman raped by her Muslim husband, ruling the man’s abuse is allowed under Shariah law.
In 2008, a New Jersey judge ruled Shariah permitted a Moroccan man to rape his Muslim wife, despite state law making it a crime. The New Jersey Appeals Court overturned that decision and remanded the case, finally allowing the woman to get a restraining order against her husband while she sought a divorce. The appeals court decision said neither Shariah law, giving a husband physical authority over his wife, nor Muslim beliefs on the role of women provided the man an exemption from criminal intent under U.S. statutes.

While no one can see any hostile threat to a group of Amish men objecting to carrying traffic signs on their horse-drawn buggies, the fact that it was a criminal matter that warranted jail time for refusal to pay the fines makes it a matter of grave precedent that cannot be ignored. I hope the Kentucky Supreme Court agrees with this.

The U.S. Constitution versus Islamic Sharia Law.

There is a legal battle going on in America today between those who wish to protect our laws and freedoms as defined in the United States Constitution and those who represent the political goals of Islam to enforce Islamic Sharia Law upon Muslim interests in America. The Constitution is the Supreme law in America and is equally applied to everyone who resides here regardless of ethnic origin or religious affiliation (or lack of one). Whenever an immigrant comes to America they must take an Oath of Allegiance to abide by the laws of our country before they can become United States citizens. This is the exact oath as prescribed by Federal law; 8 C.F.R. Part 337 (2008):
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
This Oath of Allegiance has been in effect since the American Revolution. The first officially recorded Oaths of Allegiance were made on May 30, 1778 at Valley Forge. It was General George Washington who insisted upon an oath of allegiance from his troops and ordered that no one but an American be placed on guard.

But today we have a group of people who desire to have a different set of laws apply to them in America. They are Muslims who follow the political/religious movement called Islam and their law is called Sharia. The Islamic cult does not recognize any form of government instituted by man, only a government that follows the laws of Allah. Such is the government of Saudi Arabia that forbids the existence of any religion other than Islam and arrests and prosecutes anyone who wears a cross or carries a bible. Muslims appearing in various courts in America have asked to have their Sharia laws applied to them in place of our civil and criminal laws. This has become so commonplace that some states legislatures have begun to worry that there would be two different sets of laws and Sharia would become a substitute for the Constitution. The state of Oklahoma passed such a law that would forbid courts within the state to implement any religious or international law and the U.S. Court of Appeals agreed with lawyers representing the Hamas terrorist supporting group CAIR to overturn the Oklahoma law because it would discriminate against Muslims.

Sharia law declares that there are two different classes of people, those who believe in Islam and those who do not, and they do not apply the laws equally. While equality is one of the foundations of U.S. law, a non-Muslim, under Sharia, is not allowed to inherit any part of the estate of a deceased Muslim. Under Sharia law a Muslim is permitted to commit acts of violence that is not permitted in civil law and this was brought out in a New Jersey court that initially ruled a Muslim man could beat his wife. Sharia law forbids freedom of speech, treats women as less equal to men in cases of rape and adultery and family disputes. Sharia law calls for the most barbaric and inhumane treatment of anyone convicted for petty crimes of theft with punishments of cutting off hands and feet. Sharia law says that no one may criticize Islam or even use the texts in the Koran or the life of Mohammad that would cause embarrassment to Muslims. In plain language, Sharia law is a total contradiction to the laws of the United States. In the cases of Muslim immigrants who have taken the Oath of Allegiance to become U.S. Citizens, they should all be deported for committing perjury and every Muslim who was born in America should be required to affirm that they will abide by our laws and none other in order to live here. The subject of perjury brings to light another aspect of Islamic law that is the practice of Taqiyya that says it is OK for a Muslim to lie whenever to protect themselves from non-Muslims and to promote the advancement of Islam. For Sharia law to be allowed in our courts it would be virtually impossible to prosecute any Muslim for any crime against a non-Muslim or even against the United States, itself.

When it comes to how Americans view President Obama going into the new year, there appears to be very little spirit of Auld Lang Syne. Instead, according to the new Washington Whispers poll, many voters aren't forgetting what they dislike about Obama and want him out office.

In our New Year's poll, when asked what news event they fear most about 2012, Americans by a margin of two-to-one said Obama's reelection. Why our schools don't teach the real values of American History.

Legend tells us that the night he crossed the Delaware, General Washington gave the famous command: "Put none but Americans on guard tonight." This is so important in American History because it became the foundation for Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution that sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as president of the United States:
"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
In this context, a man born of a father who was a Kenyan citizen and a British subject and later raised as a Muslim during his childhood in Indonesia and having no American experiences as a youth, Barack Hussein Obama, who was also adopted by an Indonesian citizen, does not qualify as being called "an American" in the sense that our first president, George Washington, warned us about.
Then again, another quote from Ben Franklin, that came from the days when our Founding Fathers were in the process of writing our United States Constitution.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
This was written by Ben Franklin, within quotation marks but is generally accept as his original thought, sometime shortly before February 17, 1775 as part of his notes for a proposition at the Pennsylvania Assembly, as published in Memoirs of the life and writings of Benjamin Franklin (1818).
But my favorite quote comes from a modern day bumper sticker advertising a local gun shop. "Make Love, Not War, but be prepared for both."

There is an expression that says, "If you are not part of the solution then you must be part of the problem." And it is very much applicable as a negative attribute to Republican Congressman Geoff Davis from my own 4th CD in Kentucky. I supported Geoff Davis during his first campaign for Congress when he was running against the incumbent Democrat Ken Lucas and lost. I supported him again two years later when he won after Lucas had decided not to run for reelection. Then came an eye-opening personal experience after I wrote Congressman Davis an email asking him to clarify a story I read about the Secret Service, who, while guarding an Obama motorcade in Bristol, Virginia, had been seen pointing their weapons at some citizens standing at the curb along the route. I wrote about that here: October 19, 2009, Stupidity is killing the Republican Party. Someone in Geoff Davis' office took my email and sent it along with my name to the Secret Service.
On July 31st the Gateway Pundit ran a blog story about an invitation only townhall meeting Obama attended in Bristol, Virginia and eyewitness accounts of the Secret Service. The story described some first hand accounts who witnessed several carloads of Secret Service people in the presidential motorcade pointing automatic weapons at citizens holding signs protesting Obamacare who were standing along the street while the motorcade drove by.
Like any concerned citizen I wrote to my Congressman in the 4th CD in Kentucky, Geoff Davis, who happens to be a conservative Republican, and asked him for his opinion since I was just as alarmed as the eyewitnesses.

Today I received a written reply from Congressman Davis' National Security Advisor Dan Adelstein, typed on a blank piece of paper with no letterhead. That response has shocked me for the careless way it was handled. Dan Adelstein had taken my email to Mr. Davis and sent it to the Dept. of Homeland Security - Secret Service along with my name and told them I was concerned about the way they did their job in Bristol, Virginia.

Now, l am well aware that I have an Arab name since I got it from my father 70 years ago when I was born in New York. My father was a Caucasian of Austrian decent who happened to be a Muslim born in Morocco over 100 years ago and came to America when he was a young boy. The point of contention is I am neither an Arab nor a Muslim (read my profile) and am well aware that Homeland Security spends a lot of time investigating these people of interest. I would have thought that when a Congressman's constituent, especially one who has contributed to his campaigns, writes a letter of concern that it would be kept anonymous when his staff made any inquiries about it. I was so alarmed about the way this was mishandled that I sent another email today to Congressman Geoff Davis today which I reprint below.

I am not sure how the National Republican Congressional Committee sets the office procedures for Congressman but the way this was handled is the height of stupidity. If the National Republican Party is unaware of the public concern over how Homeland Security is doing its job then they need to get a better grip on reality.
This should have forewarned me about Geoff Davis' unfamiliarity with Homeland Security's scrutiny of conservatives in America ie: the Patriot Act. But Geoff Davis' lasting legacy to the citizens of Kentucky will be his "Aye" vote on the controversial National Defense Authorization Act just signed into law by Barack Hussein Obama. To say that the National Defense Authorization Act is controversial is an understatement. There are provisions within this law just signed by Barack Hussein Obama, provisions requested by Obama himself, that nullify the Constitution of the United States. Provisions that give any president the power to have the military round up and detain any U.S. citizen and hold them indefinitely without trial.

This bill, HR 1540, which was created in the House, passed when 227 Republicans, including our own Geoff Davis, who voted “Aye” on a roll call vote, joined with 95 Democrats to send the bill over to the Senate. The only Kentuckian to vote against it was Sen. Rand Paul.

And how many are familiar with the comments made by Democrat Senator Carl Levin who admitted on the floor of the Senate that it was Barack Hussein Obama who demanded that the power to indefinite detention be placed inside this bill?

The original version of HR 1540 contained language that exempted U.S. citizens from being arrested and held without trial but Obama demanded that section be removed. Answering a question from another Senator during a Senate session, Sen. Levin said, "And I'm wondering whether the senator is familiar with the fact that the language, the language which precluded the application of section 1031 to American citizens was in the bill that we originally approved in the armed services committee, and the administration asked us to remove the language which says that U.S. citizens and lawful residents would not be subject to this section?

"Is the senator familiar with the fact that it was the administration which asked us to remove the very language we had in the bill which passed the committee and that we removed it at the request of the administration, that would have said that this determination would not apply to U.S. citizens and lawful residents?" said Levin.

Welcome to our new Police State. Thanks to dimwitted politicians like Geoff Davis, America has been turned into a third-world country.

Now we learn that Congressman Davis has announced that he will not run for reelection this year and the local Republican Party and the local Tea Party is all upset about losing such a stalwart conservative. I say good riddance to this make-believe conservative RINO.

Abdel Hameed Shehadeh wanted to join the U.S. Army so that he could turn and kill American soldiers. Instead, he has exposed a jihad network of impressive proportions that, if his assertions are true, should end the rush toward politically correct self-deception in the way law enforcement officials approach the problem of jihad terrorism in the United States.
But things didn’t work out that way. Shehadeh got caught, and quickly began cooperating with authorities. He gave FBI agents a lengthy interview that fills a 22-page report that his lawyers are now trying to deep-six: although Shehadeh gave the interview in an attempt to get a better deal for himself, he quickly started worrying about “how much I incriminated myself,” and so now wants the report suppressed.
Those he named no doubt also want his report suppressed. According to the New York Daily News, Shehadeh was “a fount of information.” Among the jihad plotters he mentions in the report are “Brooklyn teachers of the Islamic orthodoxy Salafism” and Muslims who “delivered pro-jihadist speeches at mosques or ranted in online chat rooms.”

Pamela Geller over at Atlas Shrugs has posted a story today that appeared in the Wall Street Journal about a "Christmas card" mailed out by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the United States. The Saudi Ambassador seems to be trying to convey the same misleading smokescreen message (Muslims call it Taqiyya, the Islamic practice of lying to advance Islam) that our own one-time Muslim, Barack Hussein Obama and the Hamas-terrorist funding group CAIR have been spreading across our newspapers and televisions.

If you want a good laugh, read the holiday card sent out by Saudi Ambassador to the United States and public relations genius Adel al-Jubeir. Citing a Quranic verse, he writes "Behold, the angels said: 'O Mary, God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God.'"

Christmas greetings from an ambassador whose government prohibits Christians from worshiping publicly, building churches, wearing crosses or importing Bibles. Invoking the names of Mary and Jesus while representing a government that this year beheaded Amina bint Abdulhalim Nassar and Abdul Hamid Al Fakki for "witchcraft.

Some details need to be put into perspective here. The Saudi Arabian government has financed the construction of most of the mosques in America and has required these mosques to distribute literature about Wahhabism, the official Islamic religious sect of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Some terms and definitions are needed to understand the connections. Wikipedia has an extensive definition of Wahhabism along with its synonymous name Salafism, both a form of hardline Islam that calls for the imposition of Islamic law in its fullness, including stonings, beheadings, amputations, and warfare against unbelievers.

Wahhabism in the United States
A study conducted by the NGO Freedom House found Wahhabi publications in mosques in the United States. These publications included statements that Muslims should not only "always oppose" infidels "in every way", but "hate them for their religion ... for Allah's sake", that democracy "is responsible for all the horrible wars of the 20th century", and that Shia and certain Sunni Muslims were infidels

"Wahhabi theology treats the Quran and Hadith as the only fundamental and authoritative texts." and "The Wahhabis/Salafis consider themselves to be 'non-imitators' or 'not attached to tradition', and therefore answerable to no school of law at all, observing instead what they would call the practice of early Islam."

"The Saudis have spent at least $87 billion propagating Wahhabism abroad during the past two decades, and the scale of financing is believed to have increased in the past two years. The bulk of this funding goes towards the construction and operating expenses of mosques, madrasas, and other religious institutions that preach Wahhabism. It also supports imam training; mass media and publishing outlets; distribution of textbooks and other literature; and endowments to universities (in exchange for influence over the appointment of Islamic scholars). Some of the hundreds of thousands of non-Saudis who live in Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf have been influenced by Wahhabism and preach Wahhabism in their home country upon their return. Agencies controlled by the Kingdom's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Da'wah and Guidance are responsible for outreach to non-Muslim residents and are converting hundreds of non-Muslims into Islam every year."

Robert Spencer then repeats some previously known facts about radical teachings discovered in mosques in America that have been conveniently ignored by our progressive, politically correct news media. Some very disturbing facts that every city across America should be concerned about when their local Planning Boards contemplate a building permit application for yet another mosque.

In 1998, Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, a Sufi leader, visited 114 mosques in the United States. Then he gave testimony before a State Department Open Forum in January 1999, and asserted that 80% of American mosques taught the “extremist ideology.”
Then there was the Center for Religious Freedom’s 2005 study, and the Mapping Sharia Project’s 2008 study. Each independently showed that upwards of 80% of mosques in America were preaching hatred of Jews and Christians and the necessity ultimately to impose Islamic rule.
And in the summer of 2011 came another study showing that only 19% of mosques in U.S. don’t teach jihad violence and/or Islamic supremacism.

Is it any wonder that 15 of the 19 Muslim hijackers on 9-11 came from Saudi Arabia. Especially after being educated there with such a point of view as Pamela Geller points out,

An eighth-grade textbook currently published by the Saudi Education Ministry declares "The Apes are the people of the Sabbath, the Jews; and the Swine are the infidels of the communion of Jesus, the Christians." A ninth-grade textbook echoes "The Jews and the Christians are enemies of the believers, and they cannot approve of Muslims." Six million schoolchildren are indoctrinated with this every year in Saudi Arabia.

Two stories came to my attention this morning, one in the local newspaper and the other on the Huffington Post. Both suggest a serious character flaw that should make anyone question the true intent that Barack Hussein Obama holds for America. One points out his willingness to lie to create a false image of himself to convince people that he is something that he is not and the other makes you hope he wasn't telling a lie in the first place.
During the presidential campaign in May 2008, during a speech an audience member asked Obama a very specific question about Presidential Signing Statements. He was asked at one rally: "when congress offers you a bill, do you promise not to use presidential signing statements to get your way?" Obama gave a one-word reply: "Yes." He added that "we aren't going to use signing statements as a way to do an end run around Congress." Obama was telling an outright lie.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: When Congress offers you a bill, do you promise not to use presidential signings to get your way?
OBAMA: "Yes... This is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he is going along. I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We are not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end run around Congress. All right?"
A "Signing Statement" is a comment that has been added by the president when he signs a bill into law stating that he does not agree with or intend to enforce a part of that law. The practice has been used to some limited degree by every president since James Monroe but traditionally, has been one of "generally triumphal, rhetorical, or political proclamations and went mostly unannounced" as described in Wikipedia. But lately, presidential signing statements have touched on constitutional issues and have raised serious legal questions.
Wikipedia: In July 2006, a task force of the American Bar Association stated that the use of signing statements to modify the meaning of duly enacted laws serves to "undermine the rule of law and our constitutional system of separation of powers". In fact, the Constitution does not authorize the President to use signing statements to circumvent any validly enacted Congressional Laws, nor does it authorize him to declare he will disobey such laws (or parts thereof). When a bill is presented to the President, the Constitution (Art. II) allows him only three choices: do nothing, sign the bill, or (if he disapproves of the bill) veto it in its entirety and return it to the House in which it originated, along with his written objections to it.
Back in April 2011, Obama used a signing statement to tell Congress he was going to ignore their defunding of his unconstitutional Czars when he signed the new budget bill. And, according to a story in today's newspaper, during his Christmas vacation in Hawaii Obama added another signing statement to the wide-ranging National Defense Authorization Act which includes provisions that would allow the President to use the U.S. military to round up and throw American citizens in jailand keep them there indefinitely without trial. "My administration will interpret and implement the provisions described below in a manner that best preserves the flexibility on which our safety depends and upholds the values on which this country was founded," Obama said in the signing statement. Remember that before he signed that bill he had said that he was opposed to that controversial section. Another lie. This sounds very similar to what Pontius Pilate said when he washed his hands after accepting the death sentence for Jesus Christ. Should we all hope this was another Obama lie or should we begin to worry that he was, in fact, telling the absolute truth?
So why is this such a critical issue in 2012? This is the year that Barack Hussein Obama is about to undergo an extreme image makeover to convince the American public how much good he has done for them and this country. Obama's leftist supporters in the news media will be doing a lot of overtime dropping his name before our eyes and ears and creating word associations to build up his new image. The one-time community organizer, the limp-wrist-ed fairy waif who threw the opening baseball pitch like a girl a few years ago will be transformed into the Hero of America who was able to bring down Osama bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki when no one else before him could. And less we not forget, Obama brought the troops home from Iraq in time for Christmas in 2011 after keeping them in the battlefield three years later than he promised with untold casualties due to his Rules of Engagement changes. You do remember those, don't you? Troops on patrol were forbidden from carrying a live round in the chambers of their weapons or from firing on an enemy until first fired at or from shooting at the enemy if they were hiding in schools or hospitals or dwellings, like they often did.

2012 is the year we must begin to remind America of what Barack Hussein Obama really is all about: who his friends and associates were and are; those communists like his father, Frank Marshall Davis and Van Jones; those anti-American racists and terrorists like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn; what he has said about Islam and America and what he has done to loot our Treasury to fill the pockets of his corporate and union supporters and make him answerable for everything. We may never have another chance.

WordPress has given a temporary reprieve to Bare Naked Islam but has ordered the site to leave by January 6, 2012. Less than a day after word began to spread that WordPress had pulled the plug on this valiant anti-Islamic web site, the great lady who runs this site announced she was told by officials at WordPress that CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation - Hamas terrorist funding trial, had nothing to do with the complaints to close it down. At the same time, CAIR was boasting of its victory. Clearly, someone is not telling the truth. In any case, it is good to see that BNI has been reinstated and I hope they relocate to a more stable host server that does not succumb to political pressure as easily as WordPress.

It was reported yesterday on Pamela Geller's web site Atlas Shrugs that another web site called Bare Naked Islam has been shut down by the host site Wordpress.com. Bare Naked Islam was a site that carried news about Islamic extremist atrocities from all over the world and displayed it in a vividly detailed photojournalism style. Admittedly, you sometimes needed a strong stomach to watch the videos of the beheadings and the burned and mutilated corpses following some local display of Muslim outrage, but that is the price we pay for the truth.

BNI Shut Down Again, Hamas-Tied CAIR Does Victory Dance
Hamas-tied CAIR has been calling for some time for BNI to be shut down because of comments. Wordpress (the blog platform) responded by shutting down BNI in late November and then reinstating it; now it has been shut down again, and the Hamas-linked nazi goup CAIR is doing a victory dance. They're claiming credit, although details are sketchy: the BNI publisher says Wordpress hasn't given her any explanation for suspending the site, and that she has been monitoring comments closely since November 26, when the site was first shut down.

But it wasn't the gory graphical details that got Bare Naked Islam in trouble. It was their vocal protest against the cable television show All-American Muslim and their support for Lowe's Home Improvements decision to pull their ads from that controversial show that raised the complaints from CAIR to pull the plug on BNI. All-American Muslim was nothing but a white-washed pile of propaganda that was spreading lies about a very sinister group of people who masquerade as a Religion of Peace while practicing the most barbaric customs. Islam has been attributed to 99.9% of all the terrorist attacks in recent history as the motivating factor, including the attacks on America on 9-11-2001.

I have a personal attachment to Bare Naked Islam because last year I designed and created the masthead logo you see above. I have also sent the following email to Wordpress.com in their defense. Whether or not you approve of BNI's strong opinions, I strongly urge everyone who reads this to do the same. If a subversive group can succeed in silencing its opposition then where will we find an outlet for the truth? If it can happen to BNI, it can happen to any of us. Contact support@wordpress.com

One of the founding principles of America is acknowledged in 1st Amendment of our Constitution that guarantees Freedom of Speech. It is a matter of fact that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that even such vile and disgusting statements as "Thank God For Dead Soldiers" are protected rights when members of the Westboro Baptist Church carried those signs at military funerals. In our own history we have read that famous quote commonly attributed to Voltaire, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. " and it was such thoughts that led to our Founding Fathers to create the Bill of Rights.

Bare Naked Islam should not be silenced for whatever they say no matter how unpleasant it may appear to some people. As the saying goes, "The truth often hurts" and Bare Naked Islam has always provided the sources for their reporting.

Today we are living in an age where a very powerful news media can and does distort the news and hide certain facts from the public. One perfect example has been the results of the 2008 trial in Federal Court in Dallas, Texas of the Holy Land Foundation where several leaders were convicted of funneling charity donations to the terrorist group Hamas. At the conclusion of this trial several other Islamic groups were identified as unindicted co-conspirators and one of them was CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Despite this fact, CAIR is still widely recognized as the official spokesgroup for Muslims in America and virtually no newspaper ever reminds its readers of their involvement in the Holy Land Foundation trial. CAIR is known to be the major group behind the complaints against Bare Naked Islam and I believe there arguments should be ignored because of their biased background.

I strongly urge you, in the name of fairness, to reinstate the Wordpress web site Bare Naked Islam.

US Communist Leader Lays Out Strategy for 2012: “Big Progressive Change is Closer Than We Think”

In a Christmas break message to his party, Communist Party USA vice chair Jarvis Tyner has confirmed the vital importance of the build up to the 2012 elections to “set the stage for a new progressive era and for a socialist transformation.”

Tyner draws clear right/left battle lines and the communist’s commitment to Party ‘friend’ President Barack Obama and to the Democratic Party cause:

2012 is a big election year and as we know the stakes are very high. The right-wing Republican opposition unashamedly defends the wealth and privilege of the 1% over the 99% that includes tens of millions who are struggling to survive. These self-proclaimed patriots are willing to wreck our country in order to defeat Barack Obama in 2012 elections. Our party and youth league are an active part of the great democratic mass that is standing against them.
Jarvis Tyner also makes it clear that a key part of the Communist Party/Democratic Party game plan, will be use of the “race card.”
If the Republicans and Tea Party gang want people to stop accusing them of racism, there is a solution. They must end their long history of using racist scapegoating and pushing racist policies and practices. After the passage of the Civil rights and voting rights acts in the mid sixties the racist Southern white Democrats (called “Dixiecrats”) en mass joined the ranks of the Republican Party. They were warmly welcomed. Today without their racist Southern base of voters the Republicans could not win the presidency, or any national election. They literally thrive on racism as a party. And that is why there is a virulent racist component to almost every program they advance today.
It begins with the disgraceful attacks on the first African American president. But continues also on the issues of reducing the size of the federal government and privatization, which means that the government will not be able to stop massive corporate abuse of working people.
It means the destruction of vital public services and the jobs of public workers who are disproportionately African American and Latino unionized workers. And the privatization, characterization and destruction of public education are primarily aimed at predominantly Black and Latino school.
The racist component is dramatically present in the incarceration rates for African-American males and the use of the death penalty. Since a higher proportion of African American and Latino workers are members of unions then other racial groups, the Republicans pro-corporate anti-union drive also has a strong racist component. One of the most backward parts of the Republican program is the racist attack on Mexican immigrants.
There is a direct correlation between the level of racism and the fight for democracy, peace and for socialism. In our country in a special way, racism blunts the fight against capitalist exploitation and oppression and US imperialism. These struggles cannot be advanced without an ongoing struggle against racism.
Tyner then goes onto outline the Communist Party’s commitment to Democratic Party victories over several decades;
Our party had clear differences with the liberal John F. Kennedy but in 1960 election our policy was defeat Nixon. Same with 1964 — defeat Goldwater. In 1968 we had a Presidential ticket but our strategy remained–defeat Nixon. In 1972, when I ran with Gus Hall, the sharpest edge of our criticism was against Nixon.
In 1976, Carter ran against Ford. The sharpest edge of our campaign was against Ford and the Republicans. All the while we have had big differences with the Democrats but policies of the Republican right represented the main danger and the main obstacle to moving forward. The fight to advance the democratic and revolutionary process forward toward greater and greater changes requires defeating the greatest danger. And that is what we did. And the process did go forward.
Tyner blames Obama’s limited successes on the movement that backed him. To Tyner, the left was only able to make big gains in America during the 1930s, even under Democratic presidents, because of the major leftist social movements of that era – which, though Tyner doesn’t say it, were largely communist controlled.

Now is the time for a new social upheaval, to pressure Obama into doing what the left wants – or more accurately to give Obama an excuse to do what he wants to anyway:
It is true Obama has fallen short on some issues and made concessions and some tactical turns to which we take exception. That was the Obama with out the militant social movement that Roosevelt had during the New Deal.
The democratic forces are getting their second wind. Congresswomen Donna Edwards described this period as a “FDR moment.” At the height of the Wisconsin struggle, the Rev. Jesse Jackson described it as a “Martin Luther King moment…”
What were they talking about? They are talking about a new willingness to struggle by democratic masses, about new movements emerging. There is a new movement among the youth. It has a great potential of gaining a deeper understanding of what are winning tactics. Their demands can be won with a broader more inclusive approach…. Higher levels of class and racial unity must be achieved for further progress.
Where will this new movement come from? Tyner makes it clear that it will come from new alliances of existing organizations – including the labor movement and Occupy Wall Street. If the communists have their way, the GOP and the Tea Party movement will be shunted aside. The communist led “peace movement,” no longer concerned with Iraq, will turn its attention to domestic issues:
New battle lines have been drawn. The Occupy Wall Street movement and the fight for the American Jobs Act have fired up the democratic forces. They are taking the offensive. We must continue to be fully involved. The announcement that the troops will be withdrawn from Iraq means it’s time for peace action!
The Occupy Wall Street movement based on the reality that the problem is the 1% capitalist ruling class and “we the people” are the 99% majority. That is an advanced idea and in harmony with our anti monopoly strategy. But to mobilize the 99% means building a popular front style movement. Narrow sectarian politics of “my way or the highway” will not suffice. Views that “I will only work with the left, and the center is the enemy” will not mobilize the 99%.
Why are we confident about this point? Because it was the broad united from tactics that our party brought forth that was key to basic change like defeating fascism and that built the New Deal and industrial unions.
All these forces will be mobilized by the Communist Party to ensure the re-election of Obama in 2012. The stakes are high. The Communist Party actually sees socialism within its grasp:
Next year we are proposing a national conference on strategy and tactics. How do we get to socialism? The incredible 2011 election victories in Ohio, Mississippi, Arizona, Maine, New Jersey and elsewhere tell us a lot about where masses are at politically. It’s time for action; to mobilize masses for jobs, to tax the rich and to register, educate and mobilize, voters for next November and beyond. The right wing can be defeated in 2012.

Organized labor understands this. The major anti racist organizations under stand this…
And I can tell you, comrades, we can criticize Obama, and when it is done in a united front way he has shown that he can be moved. The whole effort of the Congressional Black Caucus and Progressive Caucus to organize town meetings and job fairs, which drew large crowds across the country, played a big role in pushing Obama to come up with his American Jobs Act, which is laying the basis for a big defeat of the right in 2012.
Frankly comrades, speaking as one who has been politically active under nine different presidents — five of the right wing Republicans, four liberal Democrats — all the while pushing for progressive change and the ideal of a socialist USA; from many decades of struggling and pushing for change, nothing Barack Obama has done or failed to do in the last three years is a reason to sit back and not take part in this tremendous historic struggle to defeat the extreme right wing at the polls next year.
We need to treat this like the life and death struggle that it is. As Sam Webb has put it …If you want to know what the Right will do to the country look at what they are doing everywhere they dominate the political and legislative process. What the working class did last week in Ohio, Mississippi, Maine, Arizona and New Jersey showed a high understanding of what is at stake and a determination to reverse the setback in 2010. This battle can be won. For sure, cynicism and pessimism will not lead to victory. It will take a lot of work. There will be setbacks and disappointments no doubt. But we can and must be optimistic: this battle can be won.
The tea party was supposed to be the new majority trend in our country. But where is the tea party now? They are still a well-organized and financed group. They tried to help Walker and Kasich. I’m sure they were working in Ohio, Miss., etc., but they could not match the united might of organized labor, the unity of black, brown and white, Asian Pacific, Native American Indian in struggle. Men, women, youth, old, gay and straight – united nothing can stop us.
Where was the tea party? They had plenty of money but they were out organized, out strategized, and most importantly, their bankrupt ideas are losing support among honest working people. They are not a match for the united power of the organized working people, along with racial and nationally oppressed, youth and students, women, LGBT, peace and justice struggling together in a broad popular front. That’s what is needed to turn the tide.
Our job is to contribute all that we can to maximize that power. And that is what will set the stage for a new progressive era and for a socialist transformation. Big progressive change is closer then we think.
If Tyner’s message isn’t a wake up call to US patriots and conservatives, nothing will be. This guy is serious, and while his party is small he has the influence to back his ideas with organization and action.

2012 may well be the year that decides the fate of America and indeed the world.

Don’t let Jarvis Tyner and the Communist Party tip the balance in the wrong direction.

Why is our news media afraid to speak the truth about Islam?

Hate Jews. Hate Catholics. Hate Protestants. Mock them, malign them, ridicule them, drag their names through the mud. Post messages of hate and threats of death on their web sites and blogs and no one raises an eyebrow. Yes, all is fair game. But dare not say a word to embarrass a Muslim or tell the truth about Islam or even quote a violent or incendiary passage from the Islamic holy book, the Qur’an. Up until now those who do tell the truth about Islam are labeled as bigots but thankfully we are in America, the Land of the Free and not in Europe. There, a woman in Austria was convicted of a crime for calling the Prophet Muhammad a pedophile because he had sex with his 9-year old child bride Aisha whom he married when she was 6-years old (as detailed in the Islamic Hadiths Bukhari 58:234 and the Qur'an Sura 8:3309). Or in The Netherlands where Geert Wilders, a Member of Parliament, spent years defending charges of religious hatred because he read aloud passages from the Qur’an at a public meeting. But thanks to our secretary of state Hillary Clinton, she is working with the United Nations to approve a treaty that would make it a crime in America to criticize Islam just like in Europe.

Muslims can insult Christianity by claiming Jesus was a prophet of Allah just like Muhammed and Muslims can display that message on public transportation, but try, as Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs did, to run an ad on Detroit city buses advising anyone who wanted to leave Islam they could get help by visiting a web site and the ads are refused.

Carry picket signs that say “Thank God for dead soldiers” at military funerals and the U.S. Supreme Court rules that it is covered by our 1st Amendment Free Speech rights, “no matter how vile or hateful it may be”.

But dare not write a word in the press about Islamic Honor Killings in America, like what happened in Grapevine, Texas on Christmas. Thankfully, we have some brave and courageous bloggers who write the truth about Islam, such as Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch and Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs who wrote about the Dallas Morning News story that gave all the details about what happened in Grapevine except the final conclusion that it was another Muslim committing an Honor Killing.

Aziz Yazdanpanah, a Muslim, didn't like his daughter's non-Muslim boyfriend and was exhibiting stalker behavior. “She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion.”

Again and again we have seen honor killings in which fathers kill daughters who are dating non-Muslims or have supposedly besmirched the family honor by some sexual indiscretion. Lt. Todd Dearing says that motive isn't important -- which is generally only the case when Islam is involved.
Atlas Shrugs reported this story from Texas that contained an account from an 18-year old classmate of one of the victims, Nona Narges Yazdanpanah, the 19-year-old daughter of Aziz Yazdanpanah, the father who killed his family.

GRAPEVINE — Aziz Yazdanpanah seemed to be losing control of his life in recent months — his wife left him, his house was in foreclosure, and his 19-year-old daughter was dating a young man he didn’t like.

Yazdanpanah, a volunteer high school debate coach described as a doting father, is the focus of suspicion a day after a Christmas morning massacre in which a man dressed as Santa Claus killed six relatives and then committed suicide.

Grapevine police arrived at the Lincoln Vineyard Apartment Homes a few minutes before noon and discovered bodies sprawled among opened presents and wrapping paper. The victims were ages 15 to 58....

Citing public records and interviews with friends and neighbors, media reports Monday identified Yazdanpanah and others who had died: his estranged 55-year-old wife, Fatemeh Rahmati, their 19-year-old daughter, Nona Narges Yazdanpanah, and 15-year-old son, Ali Yazdanpanah.

Friends of the family said Fatemeh Rahmati’s 58-year-old sister, Zohreh Rahmaty, and her husband, Hossein Zarei, 59, and daughter Sahra Zarei, a 22-year-old pre-med student at the University of Texas at Arlington, also were killed.

“She would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy,” said Lacie Reed, 18. “He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”

Friends said Nona’s father had installed cameras all around the home so he could watch the family’s comings and goings. Others said he nailed her bedroom window shut so she could not sneak out at night and see her boyfriend.

“She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,” Reed said.

The Qur'an, the Islamic holy book, contains hundreds of violent passages aiming hatred against Jews and Christians, in addition to depicting the most barbaric forms of torture and death and by the definitions of a "hate crime" contained in the Federal Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Act it should be banned. Yet, instead of banning this book it is being protected by our news media and government officials and its critics are being attacked for telling the truth. WND.com has a story today that bears reading with a different point of view kept in mind. The reason being that the obvious purpose for what this group of leftist protesters is doing is to lay the groundwork for widespread civil unrest that would give Barack Hussein Obama a legal excuse to implement Marshal Law in the name of public safety, and to postpone the 2012 presidential elections if he felt himself in danger of losing. WND.com doesn't mention this potential but I have written about is on several occassions. The WND story does not contain a link to the 15-page document that Klein mentions but the author quotes from it within his story.

'Anonymous' plans for 'violent revolution'
Hacking group that helped protests warns of 'bloody mess'

The hackers known as "Anonymous," who helped organize and support the Occupy movement's protests, have released an online survivor guide for citizens "in case of a violent revolution in your country."

The guide warns protests can be a "bloody mess." It trains rioters on how to avoid tear gas, rubber bullets and live ammunition.

The 15-page PDF document claims police will not help protesters and may actually be enemies of the revolution while warning that protest groups may be infiltrated by "fake civilians."

"This Guide is for civilians who feel they are about to be caught up in a violent uprising or revolution to overthrow the oppressive government of their country," begins the Anonymous survival kit.

"Although a revolution in favor of the people is a joyful thing when seen from the outside, it can be a bloody mess for those inside it," continued the kit.

The survival guide was distributed for download this past weekend by Anonymous' assorted Twitter and Facebook pages.

The British newspaper Daily Mail has a story about some very hi-tech uses for modifying bugs to help search for victims of earthquakes and other natural disasters. After reading about the miniaturized listening devices and motion detectors and power supplies being applied to various insects to allow them to fly into areas where rescue teams cannot go, I was immediately impressed with how easily this could be changed to permit spying by a covert government agency. The old expression about the "fly on the wall" takes on a new meaning. The article is straightforward in its description of the life-saving uses but every good idea can often be turned into a tool for evil.

Professor Khalil Najafi and an engineering student are developing the technology to 'scavenge' electricity from the body at the University of Michigan.

Devout Christians throughout the world attended Midnight Mass last night to celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ ... or tried to attend at the risk of death or torture. This is something we in America take for granted but in other parts of the world it takes on a very different meaning. Here are some reports from other places where more devout Christians are being turned into martyrs every day for refusing to give up their faith. And yet another story written by a Muslim who has discovered the true meaning of the Qur'an and tries desperately to leave Islam after reading in English what he had been blindly reciting in Arabic all his life without knowing what he said.

Indonesia saw many similar cases of harassment and intimidation last Christmas, and this year threatens more of the same. "West Java: Islamic extremist groups threaten Catholics, Christmas celebrations at risk," by Mathias Hariyadi for Asia News, December 23:
Jakarta (AsiaNews) - Islamic fundamentalist groups in Parung, Bogor regency, West Java province, are threatening and "warning" the local Catholic community, victims of attacks in anticipation of the holiday season. At the risk of the celebration of Masses and religious services, especially with regard to the faithful of the parish of St. John the Baptist, long the center of a dispute between Christians and Muslims that revolves around the building construction permit.
They celebrated last year's Christmas Mass in a parking lot.
A statement published by the "Parung Society of Muslim" emphasizes the "strong support" of the stance of the Govenor of Bogor regency, who opposes the plan to build a church for the faithful of the parish of St. John the Baptist. Again, the controversy revolves around the infamous IMB - the Izin mendirikan bangunan - essential for any contrustion in Indonesia and even more difficult to obtain when it comes to a place of Christian worship.

LONDON (CNS) -- Chaldean Catholic officials have canceled traditional Christmas Eve midnight Masses because of security risks.
Chaldean Archbishop Louis Sako of Kirkuk in northern Iraq told the agency Aid to the Church in Need that Christians will spend Christmas in "great fear" because of the risk of new attacks.
All services and Masses have been scheduled for daylight hours, he said in an interview with Rome-based AsiaNews.
"Midnight Christmas Mass has been canceled in Baghdad, Mosul and Kirkuk as a consequence of the never-ending assassinations of Christians," he said, citing the Oct. 31, 2010, attack on the Syrian Catholic cathedral that left 57 people dead in the Iraqi capital.
Archbishop Sako also expressed concern over the growing conflict between Sunni and Shiite Muslims vying for political power. He said the conflict has led to growing instability, especially in the days since the pullout of U.S. military troops in mid-December....

On December 7, Cynthia Farahat, a Coptic writer and human rights activist, testified before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission about the plight of her people. Farahat’s colleague Michael Mosad was one of the Christian men crushed by a military vehicle during the October 9 Maspero massacre, triggered by Copts protesting the burning of their churches by Islamist thugs. Farahat told the commission:
His legs were nearly severed from his body. As [Michael’s fiancée] sat next to him …soldiers gathered … brutally beating and kicking his motionless body. Vivian threw her body over his to protect him … but military officers beat and cursed her; they called her an infidel, ‘Christian sons of dogs,’ and worse–
Christian persecution is spread throughout the Middle East, I told them. Christians are under siege in Iraq. In Syria, they are clasping tight to Bashir al Assad as a sort of protector, and will be completely vulnerable if – or when – he falls. The Lebanese Christians are threatened by Hezbollah, and the Sudanese Christians lost millions to the Jihad over the last two decades. Christians (and Jews) have been thoroughly “cleansed” from Saudi Arabia already.

Bothaina Kamel, a Muslim TV personality who hid inside a television station during the protests, heard the soldiers and the policemen yelling “Allahu Akbar” as they brutally beat the protestors.

Kamel told the commission she was able to get out of the building only by claiming she was a believing Muslim. She said that she had been warned that the military was inspecting people’s hands, as many Copts had tattoos of crosses. She said to leave the building, she had to trudge through the blood of Christians whom the soldiers had beaten to death.

This Is What Islam Does to You

I was born in a very typical Sunni Muslim household, not very conservative like the Arabs, but nevertheless religious enough. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan to a very respectable Mohajjir family (mohajjirs are immigrants from India from the time of the partition in 1947). I moved to another Muslim country with my parents when I was just 10 years old and still live there.

I really wish there were a way I could freely live in a free society where I could follow the religion that I want without any compulsion. So far, I am not really sure what I am. I just know that I am not an atheist, because I do believe in a God, but that God cannot be the Allah of Mohammed. God is kind and merciful, not evil, cruel, mean and sadistic, as is Allah.

Have you ever read the Quran in English? I never did, I mean all my life I just recited the Quran in Arabic without understanding a single word until August of this year, when I purchased a copy of the English Quran and read the translation for the first time. Previously I had read some parts of it in English, but never the whole thing. But this year in August I read it from cover to cover, and then also read other references on the internet. Then I finally reached the conclusion that this book is the most evil thing on the face of this earth. It teaches nothing else except hatred and violence. I can no longer be a part of a cult which subjugates its followers, making them mere blind puppets with no mind of their own.

Categorized by theme, November's batch of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes (but is not limited to) the following accounts, listed according to theme and in alphabetical order by country, not necessarily severity.

Churches
Ethiopia: More than 500 Muslim students assisted by Muslim police burned down a church, while screaming "Allahu Akbar" (and thus clearly positing their attack in an Islamic framework); the church was built on land used by Christians for more than 60 years, but now a court has ruled that it was built "without a permit."

Indonesia: Hundreds of "hard-line" Muslims rallied to decry the "arrogance" of a beleaguered church that, though kept shuttered by authorities, has been ordered open by the Supreme Court. Church members have been forced to hold services on the sidewalk, even as Indonesia's leading Muslim clerics warned Christians that it would be "wise and sensible" for the church to yield to "the feelings of the local believers, specifically Muslims."

Iran: The nation's minister of intelligence said that house churches in his country are a threat to Iranian youth, and acknowledged a new series of efforts to fight the growth of the house church movement in Iran.

Nigeria: Islamic militants shouting "Allahu Akbar" carried out coordinated attacks on churches and police stations, including opening fire on a congregation of "mostly women and children," killing dozens. The attacks occurred in a region where hundreds of people were earlier killed during violence that erupted after President Jonathan, a Christian, beat his closet Muslim rival in April elections.

Turkey: The ancient Aghia Sophia church has been turned into a mosque. Playing an important role in ecumenical history, the church was first transformed into a mosque in 1331 by the jihadist Ottoman state. As a sign of secularization, however, in 1920 it was turned into a museum. Its transformation again into a mosque is a reflection of Turkey's re-Islamization.

So to my fellow Christians in America, while you are looking forward to the after-Christmas sales and gift exchanges, many more Christians are just looking for a peaceful place to simply observe their faith. To Christians everywhere I wish you all a Joyous and Blessed Christmas.

Ever since the Islamic inspired attack on 9-11 the New York City Police Department has been conducting the most intense surveillance program of any U.S. city on its Muslim population. It was the Associated Press that uncovered a lengthy training manual developed by the NYPD to assess the dangers. Here is a link to the 90-page report published on the NYPD web site NYPDSHIELD.

Yet, in a story published today, the Associated Press blames the NYPD for the ineffectiveness of the program even though in the opening paragraphs they acknowledge that two radicalized Muslim terrorists came out of mosques located in NYC.

NEW YORK (AP) - When New York undercover officers and informants were infiltrating a mosque in Queens in 2006, they failed to notice the increasingly radical sentiments of a young man who prayed there. Those two men, Najibullah Zazi at the mosque and Adis Medunjanin at the school, would go on to be accused of plotting a subway bombing that officials have called the most serious terrorist threat to the United States since Sept. 11, 2001.

Ever since The Associated Press began revealing New York Police Department spying programs on mosques, student groups, Muslim businesses and communities, those activities have been stoutly defended by police and supporters as having foiled a list of planned attacks.

Buried down in this story is the revelation that Democrats in Congress have been very much against the NYPD program, most likely because it has been so effective.

After House Democrats circulated a letter signed by 34 members of Congress recently asking for a federal review of the NYPD's intelligence programs, King, the New York Republican, accused them of smearing the police department.
The Justice Department under Eric Holder repeatedly has sidestepped questions about what it thinks about the NYPD programs revealed by the AP. Some Democrats in Congress have asked prosecutors to investigate. Since August, the department has said only that it is reviewing those requests.

Some say it was the Airline Deregulation Act that was pushed through during the Jimmy Carter administration that signaled the end of Pan Am. As a political comment, it always seems that Democrats have a unique talent for mucking things up, supposedly for the benefit of the people but in the end for the benefit of no one. When something works don't try to fix it. Before that dramatic change Pan Am was a profitable company content on flying its international routes but Pan Am was much more than just an international airline. During its glorious history Pan American World Airways was a pioneer company that explored airline routes across the globe and, literally, built some of the airports it would fly into in many far away places. Pan Am’s influence was behind the development of jet travel with, first, the Boeing 707 and the Douglas DC-8 and later, the Boeing B747 jumbo jet.

Pan American World Airways began in 1927, founded and run by Juan Trippe. I only came on board in 1962 and am proud to have been a part of this great company for almost half of its life as I stayed until the end in 1991. I felt the pride shared by my fellow employees as being part of the world’s most experienced airline. I felt the pride in working for a company that had the highest brand recognition second only to Coca Cola and the first in almost every new achievement in aviation history, as pointed out by former Pan Am Stewardess Helen Davey in her story Collapse of a World on the Huffington Post.
“On December 4th of this year, former Pan Am employees all over the world sadly acknowledged the twentieth anniversary of the death of their beloved company. And on December 21, they, along with the families and loved ones of the victims of Flight 103 that exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, will be remembering that sad day when their lives were forever changed. For Pan Am employees, that day 23 years ago has been called, "the day that the heart of Pan American died" (Gandt,1995).”
I felt the pride when Stanley Kubrick portrayed Pan Am as the operator of the Space Shuttle Orion in his film.

I also felt the pain that our historic significance around the world made us a symbol of the United States of America and a target of every Middle Eastern terrorist who wanted to fight our government and chose us as the most convenient target. Such it was on December 21, 1988 when Libyan terrorists working for dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi constructed a bomb that was put in a baggage container on board Pan Am Flt 103 that was detonated at 31,000 feet over Lockerbie, Scotland.

    * A male caller claimed that a group called the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution had destroyed the plane in retaliation for the U.S. shootdown of Iran Air Flight 655 in the Persian Gulf the previous July.
    * A caller claiming to represent the Islamic Jihad Organization told ABC News in New York that the group had planted the bomb.

After finishing this list, the author stated, "We consider the claims from the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution as the most credible one received so far". The analysis concluded, "We cannot assign responsibility for this tragedy to any terrorist group at this time. We anticipate that, as often happens, many groups will seek to claim credit"."
    * On 22 February 2011 during the 2011 Libyan civil war, the ex Minister of Justice Mustafa Abdul Jalil stated in an interview with the Swedish newspaper Expressen that Muammar Gaddafi had personally ordered the bombing."
Former Pan Am employees are now scattered around the globe, most are retired as I am, but they all share our pride of once being part of such a great enterprise. We acknowledge that Pan Am is gone but not forgotten.

While originally the amendments applied only to the federal government, most of their provisions have since been held to apply to the states by way of the Fourteenth Amendment.

            The amendments were introduced by James Madison to the 1st United States Congress as a series of legislative articles. They were adopted by the House of Representatives on August 21, 1789, formally proposed by joint resolution of Congress on September 25, 1789, and came into effect as Constitutional Amendments on December 15, 1791, through the process of ratification by three-fourths of the States. While twelve amendments were passed by Congress, only ten were originally passed by the states. Of the remaining two, one was adopted as the Twenty-seventh Amendment and the other technically remains pending before the states.

            Originally, the Bill of Rights included legal protection for land-owning white men only excluding African Americans and women. It took additional Constitutional Amendments and numerous Supreme Court cases to extend the same rights to all U.S. citizens.

            The Bill of Rights plays a key role in American law and government, and remains a vital symbol of the freedoms and culture of the nation. One of the first fourteen copies of the Bill of Rights is on public display at the National Archives in Washington, D.C..

Lowe's Home Improvement attacked by terrorist funding group CAIR for pulling ads from TLC All-American Muslim.

The title of this post says it all and the devil is in the details. Here are three stories combined to fully illustrate the extent of the problem, but some background is in order in case you are not aware of what is going on. TLC, The Learning Channel, viewed on the Discovery cable television network has been showing a program called All-American Muslim which has been trying to portray 'ordinary' Muslims in America as being just as much like every other American. It is nothing more than a propaganda piece packed with lies to cloud a very important issue. It is extremely controversial, to say the least. And one of the major sponsors of the show, Lowe's Home Improvement, has decided to pull their ads. Taken along with other recent news such as my repost of the Jihad Watch story on Monday, December 12, 2011, Three independent studies show majority of U.S. Mosques promote hatred of Jews and Christians. that revealed that 80% of the mosques in America were found to carry hate literature, there would seem to be no doubt about the controversy in this show. To fully grasp the extent of the mosque investigation you must read the entire story. Here is a small sample of the facts.

So, now comes a campaign by a conservative Florida group to bring some pressure on the sponsors of All-American Muslim to get them to cancel their ads. And many of them did, including Lowe's Home Improvement. A spokeswoman for Lowe's was quoted on the broadcast news the other day explaining their reason for pulling the ads. She said that Lowe's doesn't want to involve their company with such a controversial program. But that didn't go well with the leading spokes-group for American Muslims, CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations. CAIR has joined a handful of liberal Democrat politicians in trying to bully Lowe's into sponsoring the All-American Muslim program. Five jihadists behind a Texas-based scheme by the Muslim Brotherhood to channel millions of dollars to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas under the guise of a charity have had their convictions upheld by a federal appeals court.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled Wednesday against organizers of the Holy Land Foundation, which at one time was the largest Muslim charity in the U.S. It was shut down by President George W. Bush after the 9/11 attacks.

The Justice Department named CAIR's national organization, based in Washington, D.C., an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case.

In conclusion, one must ask the obvious question. Just what is a genuine All-American Muslim? Are they like those in the puff-piece that is being spewed out on TLC being defended by a group that has been identified in Federal court to be a sponsor of terrorism or are they like the tens of thousands of American Muslims who attend hundreds of mosques found to be spreading hatred across America? And don't forget those famous words spoken by a true representative of Islam, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is a leader of the Islamic-oriented Welfare Party, said in 1998, "The mosques are our barracks, the domes are our helmets, the minarets are our swords, and the faithful are our army."

Whenever I hear Muslims claim to be a 'Religion of Peace' I am also reminded of those famous words by a cold-war expert who once said: "Peace to a Communist means the absence of resistance to Communism." Is this what "Peace" means to Muslims? The absence of resistance to Islam? If it does then there's going to be hell to pay.

The study also found that when a mosque imam or its worshippers were “sharia-adherent,” as measured by certain behaviors in conformity with Islamic law, the mosque was more likely to provide this violent literature and the imam was more likely to promote it.
The abstract for the study summarizes the research findings:
A random survey of 100 representative mosques in the U.S. was conducted to measure the correlation between Sharia adherence and dogma calling for violence against non-believers. Of the 100 mosques surveyed, 51% had texts on site rated as severely advocating violence; 30% had texts rated as moderately advocating violence; and 19% had no violent texts at all. Mosques that presented as Sharia adherent were more likely to feature violence-positive texts on site than were their non-Sharia-adherent counterparts. In 84.5% of the mosques, the imam recommended studying violence-positive texts. The leadership at Sharia-adherent mosques was more likely to recommend that a worshipper study violence-positive texts than leadership at non-Sharia-adherent mosques. Fifty-eight percent of the mosques invited guest imams known to promote violent jihad. The leadership of mosques that featured violence-positive literature was more likely to invite guest imams who were known to promote violent jihad than was the leadership of mosques that did not feature violence-positive literature on mosque premises.
The study was published in December 2011 by Perspectives on Terrorism, a scholarly international journal of the Terrorism Research Initiative (TRI), a global initiative that seeks to support the international community of terrorism researchers and scholars through the facilitation of collaborative projects and cooperative initiatives. TRI was established in 2007 by scholars from several disciplines in order to provide the global research community with a common tool than can empower them and extend the impact of each participant's research activities.
The mosque study had previously been published by the Middle East Quarterly in September 2011, an academic peer-reviewed journal which specializes on Middle East regional issues. Because of the ground-breaking nature of the study, which brings a rigorous empirical methodology to the question of home-grown jihadists, MEQ granted permission to Perspectives on Terrorism to publish a more extensive analysis of the study’s conception, methodology, and results.

CFACT kills UN's International Climate Court at COP17

Dear Nelson,

CFACT promised to attend COP17 on your behalf as a vigilant watchdog, to protect your freedoms from overzealous UN bureaucrats. In the final days of the conference, we did just that by defeating a nascent plan to impose an "International Climate Court of Justice" on America and the rest of the developed world.

Late last week, CFACT became aware that a long list of radical ideas -- including the Climate Court, "Rights of Mother Earth," and other Green favorites -- were part of the draft final agreement the UN was working towards in Durban. Recognizing the danger of allowing such radical ideas to be codified and agreed to by the U.S. and the rest of the world, CFACT broke the story early Friday morning on Climate Depot with Lord Monckton's exclusive special report.

The story spread like wildfire, getting picked up by Fox News, Drudge (via Infowars), and many others.

We caught the UN off-guard, as they don't expect anyone to actually report on the substance of the negotiations. They rely on the media to coddle them with adulatory coverage that repeats the party line. With their true agenda exposed to the world, they quietly removed the International Climate Court from the working documents. In other words, they turned tail and ran.

Overtime

After going into 36 hours of overtime, COP17 became the the longest climate conference in history.
India was the last big holdout. "Am I to write a blank check and sign away the livelihoods and sustainability of 1.2 billion Indians?” asked India's Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan. Just when it seemed there would be a hung conference, South Africa's foreign minister called a “huddle” and ten minutes later the language India had fought for to protect its progress was replaced by Brazil with the words, “an agreed outcome with legal force,” which is last minute UN speak for “binding agreement.” At 3:30 AM the Durban roadmap entitled “The Durban Platform for Enhanced Action” was agreed to and the U.S., China and India were locked in.
So what did Obama and the rest agree to?
CFACT told you at the beginning and we remind you now. If you want to understand the genuine threat posed by the UN climate process – follow the money.
The Kyoto protocol winds down in 2012. Its demise would be an end for the carbon targets which provide the muscle behind massive guarantees and subsidies to alternative energy investors, An end to Kyoto's carbon trading markets would deny a fortune to “carbon traders” and send them out in search of gainful employ. An end to the green climate fund and the REDD agreement would mean a lean Christmans for a host of slick western middlemen and developing nation bureaucrats counting who feel entitled to your tax dollars.
The UN's Durban agreement keeps the money flowing to the climatecrats and profiteers and even if you accept the UN's position on climate science (which CFACT strenuously challenges) does nothing for the climate. No one credibly believes that the massive transfer of wealth that the delegates in Durban pledged to continue will alter the world's thermostat in any meaningful way.
So the money game goes on.
The rest is far more nebulous.
The Durban agreement calls for a full treaty by 2015 to come into force by 2018
The principal American objection in past conferences was that the developing world refused to agree to carbon restrictions on its own industry. The future treaty is supposed to include carbon restrctions for all, though the developing nations would face no meaningful restrictions before 2020. Considering the wealth China and manufacturing edge has amassed in the last eight years, it now has eight more years to cement its position.
The “green climate fund's” $100 billion per year in redistribution to developing nations remained in the agreement, but the funding mechanism did not. Two proposals, both devastating to America and its allies were put forward and both could come back to haunt us. The first would place a tax on every foreign currency transaction in the world. The second would place a huge tariff on international shipping. These can both be seen as ways to get around a U.S. Congress which is not about to vote for a massive handout to the UN. Keep a close eye here. Finding a creative way to get us to pay for the green climate fund will be a major UN goal over the days and months ahead.
So long as there are billions being made on it, the international global warming industry will not go away. Chief U.S. climate negotiator Todd Stern conceded that, “there is plenty the U.S. is not thrilled about.” That is an understatement.
CFACT is the preeminent organization challenging global warming orthodoxy at the UN. We remain your eyes, ears and voice at these crucial negotiations. The Durban agreement underscores the dire threat this process poses to our freedom and prosperity. The forces of global warming could not get a treaty in Durban, but they kept their money. In contrast, CFACT parachuted (literally) into Durban with a tough message about Climategate 2.0. We boldly spread our banner (literally) 20 feet across our UN press conference. Ministers won't back cross-ban Christians: Ex-archbishop condemns 'illiberal' assault on faith

The Government was slammed last night for refusing to support a group of Christians fighting for their rights in the European courts.

Four individuals who have been disciplined at work or lost their jobs after refusing to remove crosses or to conform to gay rights laws are attempting to overturn the decisions of British courts and tribunal.

They had hoped for support from Ministers after a former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, appealed to Prime Minister David Cameron on their behalf.

But the Government told the European Court of Human Rights that it backed the British judges and does not accept that the Christians have suffered discrimination.

To the dismay of Lord Carey, the Government even said that wearing a cross or a crucifix was not a ‘generally recognised’ Christian practice – even though Church leaders say it is a hugely significant symbol.

The Democrats Hate Crime Bill two years later: From cross-dressing men allowed in women's fitting rooms at Macy's, to outlawing criticism of Islam.

Never mind that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it was OK for the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas to picket military funerals with signs that said "Thank God for dead soldiers" because they had their right to free speech "no matter how hateful". Now we are facing the fallout from the Democrats Hate Crimes Act commonly referred to as the Pedophile Protection Act, H.R. 1913 and the Senate version S. 909 they passed in 2009.

Now, no one is allowed to discriminate against anyone who conforms to any of the perversions, specifically the 547 paraphilias listed by the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as I wrote in my blog on Thursday, August 25, 2011,

This is what happens when the Democrats legitimized pedophilia.

Natalie Johnson’s story is generating international news coverage and drawing widespread attention to Macy’s dangerous “Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) policy.”

When Natalie politely told the cross-dressing young man he could not use the women’s fitting room, he and the attorney with him said that Macy’s is “LGBT friendly” and began shouting expletives. Then they demanded to see Natalie’s supervisor.

Natalie’s stand and subsequent dismissal have become international news. Most media outlets are characterizing it as yet another example of the escalating aggressiveness of radical LGBT activists who deceitfully call their disruptive actions a “civil rights” struggle.

Now another story on a slightly different subject has been reported on Jihad Watch about an upcoming meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the United Nations representative from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to discuss outlawing criticism of Islam. Now that the Democrats got their collective foot in the door on Hate Crimes, we can possibly look forward to almost anything fitting that category. Gee, maybe if Obama gets reelected it will be against the law to criticize the Democratic Party. I think he may be looking forward to this since he has already got the concentration camps built for all those enemies of America.

Criticism of Islam Could Soon be a Crime in America

It couldn't happen here, right? We have the First Amendment, right? Well, look at how the Second Amendment has been interpreted almost out of existence in some areas. Six years later, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is due to host OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Washington, DC in mid-December 2011 to discuss how the United States can implement the OIC agenda to criminalize criticism of Islam. Cloaked in the sanctimonious language of Resolution 16/18, that was adopted by the UN Human Rights Council in April 2011, the WDC three-day experts meeting is billed as a working session to discuss legal mechanisms to combat religious discrimination (but the only religion the Human Rights Council has ever mentioned in any previous resolution is Islam). The UN Human Rights Council, which includes such bastions of human rights as China, Cuba, Libya, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, introduced Resolution 16/18 to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), where it was passed in March 2011.

The Resolution was presented to the UNGA by Pakistan (where women get the death penalty for being raped and "blasphemy" against Islam is punished by death). Ostensibly about "combating intolerance, negative stereotyping and…incitement to violence against persons based on religion or belief," the only partnership mentioned in the text is the one with the OIC. The U.S., whose official envoy to the OIC, Rashad Hussain, helped write Obama's Cairo speech, actively collaborated in the drafting of Resolution 16/18.

Guess it is OK to exercise Free Speech against dead American soldiers but it may not be OK to criticize the radical religion that has killed them and thousands of other innocent Americans. We can thank the Democrats for all of this. And lets not forget that politically correct "zero tolerance" policy that is putting 6-year old school children in handcuffs for throwing spitballs.

Spies generally manage to steal small samplings of classified information, usually on microfilm or digital thumb drives but when it comes to stealing really big loads of classified material it takes a concerted effort by highly placed people who have senior rankings in the government or the military to make the command decisions.

Thanks to the lack of action by our pro-Muslim leader Barack Hussein Obama, a one-time Muslim himself, our greatest threat in the Middle East now has in its possession a completely intact, top secret spy drone aircraft. How many secrets the Iranians can retrieve from this high-tech spy machine is the cause of great concern in Washington and in particular the Defense Department. Apart from the obvious -- Islamic Iran, China and Russia now have state-of-the-art stealth technology and we lose a killer app in the war against the enemies of freedom, the most troubling aspect of this story is that Obama had a window of opportunity to retrieve the critical intelligence gathering drone and rejected it. He left it there for the murdering mullahs.
With early knowledge that the aircraft had likely remained intact, the senior U.S. official also told Fox News that President Obama was presented with three separate options for retrieving or destroying the drone. The president ultimately decided not to proceed with any of the plans because it could have been seen as an act of war.

But this drone wasn't the first piece of classified technology our government has allowed to fall into enemy hands. And looking at the way Democrats handle foreign relations it probably won't be the last. Does anyone remember the story of how the U.S. Navy sat on their hands and allowed the intelligence gathering spy ship, USS Pueblo, be captured by the North Korean Navy on January 23, 1968? The aircraft carrier USS Enterprise was only 510 miles away yet no aircraft were dispatched to ward off the North Korean vessels during the hours long attack. Quoting one line from the Wikipedia story: "Radio contact between the Pueblo and the Naval Security Group in Kamiseya, Japan had been ongoing during the incident. As a result, Seventh Fleet command was fully aware of Pueblo's situation. Air cover was promised but never arrived." And this all sounds like a set up to me and furthermore, it was another Democrat named Lyndon Johnson who was in the White House when this happened.

There is a wealth of data about this event both on Wikipedia and on a web site dedicated to the crew and their story of that ship, but I heard the story first hand from one of the crew, radio officer Lee R. Hayes who was a guest in my house while on a speaking tour in the early 1970's. It is hard to believe but absolutely true that the tiny, 177 ft. long, ship with a crew of 76 men had been ordered to carry 11 tons of Classified documents and that the only means of destroying those papers was in a small gas stove. And according to official records, the crew was unable to destroy most of it before being boarded thus allowing the Communist North Korean government total access to this classified material. Anyone who watches cop dramas on television knows about the 'good cop' 'bad cop' technique used in interrogations. The bad cop conducts a brutal questioning of a suspect and then the good cop steps in and says a few nice things to win the suspects friendship and get the answers. Right now, Obama has all the aspects of a really bad cop/politician. He is as corrupt as any that has been vomited from the bowels of Chicago politics. He has looted the U.S. Treasury to fill the pockets of his supporters and virtually bankrupted America in the process. His popularity ratings are almost as low as that of Congress itself. In other words, Obama is in desperate need of an image makeover.

While Obama is as far left as anyone who has ever occupied the White House, he is being portrayed by his leftist supporters in the news media as something akin to middle of the road Democrat. But that isn't enough to sway the voters. So he needed something concrete to boost his image. Those asshole Republicans who we gave control of the House of Representatives to in the 2010 elections joined in supporting some Orwellian measures attached to the National Defense Authorization Act and HR 1540 was passed by 95 Democrats and 227 Republicans. Later on, the Senate passed their version of S.1867 with 48 Democrats and 44 Republicans.

Now of course, appropriating money for the National Defense is a popular thing among conservatives and so is fighting terrorism but I wonder how many read the amendments that were tacked on to the bill and considered how a would be tyrant could use them. The Orwellian proposal contained in Section 1031, now passed by Congress to allow the U.S. military to violate the Posse Comitatus Act, a United States federal law prohibiting members of the military from exercising powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property and arrest and detain, without rights, any U.S. citizen whom the government has suspected of being enemies of the United States.

SEC. 1031. of National Defense Authorization Act reads AFFIRMATION OF AUTHORITY OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES TO DETAIN COVERED PERSONS PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE. None other than the ACLU has described this as: "The worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial provision is in S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill..."

Now the questionable section of this bill has portrayed the U.S. government as being on the verge of a Police State. So who comes to our rescue riding high on his white horse? There it is. Obama the good cop. Obama, friend of Muslims worldwide, friend of the New Black Panther Party, friend of domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, now opposes this bill to allow the apprehension of American citizens and deny them their Constitutional Rights. This works well for Obama both ways. First, conservatives and independents are afraid that since Homeland Security has already classified Pro-Life, 2nd Amendment supporters and returning military veterans as possible domestic terrorists (while ignoring the followers of radical Islamic fundamentalism who comprise 99.9% of all the terrorists apprehended in America) it would or could be those conservatives who are against Obama who would be rounded up and put in a concentration camp. Second, the actual Islamic terrorists now won't have to worry that they will be rounded up and sent to those real concentration camps after Obama has the bill changed.

Obama Channels Hugo Chavez, Shows Why He Can't Lead On The Economy

On Tuesday, President Obama went to Osawatomie High School in Kansas to deliver an address framing the economic issues for the 2012 election. He was following in the footsteps of turn of the century “progressive” Teddy Roosevelt, who spoke at that same site 100 years ago to rail against big corporations and the privileged, while calling for “fair play” for ordinary Americans.
But the speech only showed why Obama can’t lead America on the economy. Instead of leading us forward into the modern economics of the 21^st century, he keeps reaching back into the economics and politics of old – the failed Keynesian economics of Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930s, the disastrous stagflation of Jimmy Carter in the 1970s, and the supposed promise of progressivism 100 years ago, before the demonstrated failures of Marxism worldwide in the 20^th century.

Negative attitudes towards Islam on the rise in Europe

A recent study in Europe found that half of Europeans now believe Islam is a religion of intolerance (see story below).

This is revealing, because for decades European countries and Great Britain have bent over backwards to accommodate Muslim immigrants and increasingly unreasonable demands from Islamic leaders and organizations.

Pushback by Europeans has resulted in the Swiss passage of a referendum banning the construction of minarets and the growing strength of Geert Wilders’ political party in the Netherlands.

It appears that, as more and more Europeans have seen the intolerance of radical Islam, they are understandably reacting negatively to that intolerance.

This is what leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron were referring to last year when they said, speaking of Muslim immigration, that “multiculturalism” had failed. Cameron went so far as to say it was time to stop being tolerant of intolerance.

The same trend is happening in America, with polls showing negative attitudes towards Islam on the rise. From the Ground Zero Mosque controversy to the rise of homegrown terrorism, Americans are waking up to the threat of radical Islam.

Groups like CAIR and ISNA will continue to claim this is all about worldwide Islamophobia. They claim that people have negative views of Islam because they aren’t exposed to “genuine” Islam.

But the mounting evidence argues that the more people in the West are exposed to Islam, the less they like what they see. Reformist Muslim Tawfik Hamid is correct—it’s time for the Muslim world to stop pointing fingers of blame at the West and start examining itself.

The Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation published a study on intolerance and prejudice in Europe. The study "Intolerance, Prejudice and Discrimination" is available in German and English. I bring below the section relating to Muslims.

After statistical testing, three statements were used to produce the anti-Muslim attitudes mean scale (Table 7, items 18 to 20). These cover the general impression that there are too many Muslims in the country, the charge that Muslims make too many demands, and broad-brush criticism of Islam as a religion of intolerance. Four further statements were surveyed in a random half of the sample. These cover a positive attitude that sees Muslims as an enrichment and the idea that there are great cultural differences between the majority society and Muslims, especially concerning attitudes towards women. We also surveyed the idea that Muslims generally support and condone terrorism.

In most of the countries a majority believe Islam to be a religion of intolerance, with agreement just below 50 percent only in Great Britain and the Netherlands. In almost all the countries more than half of respondents said that Muslims make too many demands; Portugal was the only exception with about one third. The statement that there are too many Muslims in the country is affirmed by just over one quarter in Portugal and by about one third in France. In Germany, Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands more than 40 percent of respondents complain that there are too many Muslims in their country, in Hungary about 60 percent.

Interviewees were also asked to respond to four further statements covering perceived cultural differences and supposed affinity of Muslims toward terrorism (Table 7, items 22 to 25). Despite correlating closely with anti-Muslim attitudes these items represent separate constructs and were therefore excluded from the scale measure.

The figures for those who say that Muslim culture is compatible with their own range from 17 percent in Poland and 19 percent in Germany to about half the population in Portugal and France. A majority of more than 70 percent of European respondents find that Muslim attitudes towards women are incompatible with their own values. Overall in the surveyed countries about one third think that Muslims treat Islamist terrorists as heroes, although somewhat fewer believe that terrorism finds moral support in the Muslim community (ranging from under 20 percent in Germany and the Netherlands to nearly 30 percent in Hungary).

The scale created from the first three statements clearly illustrates the extent of anti-Muslim attitudes in the studied countries (Figure 5). It is conspicuous that Europeans are largely united in their rejection of Muslims and Islam. The significantly most widespread anti-Muslim attitudes are found in Germany, Hungary, Italy and Poland, closely followed by France, Great Britain and the Netherlands. The extent of anti-Muslim attitudes is least in Portugal. In absolute terms, however, the eight countries differ little in their levels of prejudice towards Muslims.

Kentucky is horse country yet some people who live here still don't know why draft horses wear blinders. In case you are unaware of what blinders are, they are masks placed on the outside of a horses eyes to prevent it from seeing what is around it. In other words, to keep the horse looking straight ahead and not get distracted. And don't forget, the horse doesn't put the blinders on himself, someone has to do it.

So now we have a proposed new tax bill submitted in Congress last January that would eliminate the Federal Income Tax, eliminate the IRS and all those nasty tax collectors, eliminate all those nasty Federal taxes that some or most people are required to pay and substitute it for a whopping 23% Federal Sales Tax on everyone. The bill tracking web site, Open Congress, described the provisions of HR 25, the bill written by Republican Congressman Rob Woodall from Georgia. In exchange for getting rid of all those nasty taxes and those nasty tax collectors, HR 25, the so-called Fair Tax bill would cause everyone to pay a 23% Federal Sales Tax on top of all state and local sales, property and use taxes for the "use or consumption of all goods, properties and services". Since the bill only eliminates current Federal Taxes it has no affect on state and local taxes. That means everyone's utility bills would go up 23%, everyone's property taxes would go up 23%, along with the gasoline in your car and the car registration and the insurance you buy for your car and your home, movie theater tickets and, of course, all the clothing and other hard line merchandise you buy. But how about your doctor's visits or prescriptions or your food, will they also go up 23%? And in case these myopic Tea Party conservatives didn't realize it, Senior Citizens who subside on pensions and Social Security, don't pay any Income Tax now because they don't have income. So now this proposed bill will add an additional 23% hardship on every retired person living in America. The dumbest statement in their email that announced the meeting to promote this bill was "The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn." Retired people usually spend all of their pensions on the things they need and have little left over.

OpenCongress Summary
This bill would eliminate all federal income taxes, payroll taxes and the estate tax, and replace them with a federal sales tax of 23% on the use or consumption of all goods, properties and services. The Internal Revenue Service would be abolished and replaced by an Excise Tax Bureau and a Sales Tax Bureau in the Department of the Treasury.

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. The FairTax Act (HR 25, S 13) is nonpartisan legislation.

It abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system.

The Northern Kentucky Tea Party has done a few good things in the past but they have also taken some strange, off-the-wall positions on other issues. They have pushed for a new Constitutional Convention while ignoring the warnings from the experts that said such a convention could rewrite the entire Constitution and throw out our Bill of Rights. I made this point in one of the first posts in this blog on Tuesday, September 8, 2009: Beware of a new Constitutional Convention. Now the Tea Party is pushing another proposal without paying attention to the details. And the fact is, the Devil is in the details.

And, just as Barack Hussein Obama has issued exemptions to his socialized medicine Obamacare law to all of his union supporters, it can be anticipated that if and when this FairTax law passes that we will all be begging the Federal government to exempt something we are required to pay an additional 23% on. There is nothing fair about that.

I just read a damning indictment against the liberal, mainstream news media that itemizes a list of serious issues about Barack Hussein Obama that they have ignored. I want to turn things around here a little bit because it isn't just the mainstream news media that has been ignoring these things, it is the National Republican Party as well. The fact is that the liberal news media knows that Obama is a most vulnerable politician if he himself were the target of a political attack. So why hasn't the Republican Party realized this, too? That is why the news media has covered up Obama's questionable background and raised one smoke screen after another to distract the American public. So why have so many Republicans failed to direct their criticisms directly about Obama? Why has virtually every Republican ignored Obama's childhood background that questions his citizenship since he was adopted by an Indonesian stepfather, his fraudulent birth certificate that he showed America on April 27, 2011, his fake social security number, his long-time legal effort to hide his personal records, the issues of his past associations with communists such as Frank Marshal Davis, whom Obama mentions in his own book was his childhood mentor? All that in addition to what is contained below. I read this first on Atlas Shrugs and it deserves to be passed around. Maybe even sent to our Republican members of Congress to ask them to explain it.

We gave the Republican Party a majority in the House last year through the efforts of the Tea Party explosion but the party leadership seems to have canceled all the momentum. Maybe we need to elect new leaders in 2012 and get rid of those RINOs.

Three of the students in the photo placed comments on our article – and what they have to say is most disturbing.

Naively, the 14 to 16 year old girl students of the Al-Falah Muslim School simply wrote the truth as they see it and revealed values and standards that are totally at odds with our society.

No person in Barbados, and especially in the Ministry of Education, can read their comments and not be concerned about what is being taught at the Al-Falah Muslim School.

In the past, Barbados Free Press questioned the text books used and the lessons taught at our Muslim schools. BFP asked what the Ministry of Education is doing to supervise a curriculum that is largely created and sometimes directly delivered (electronically and via publications) from Saudi Arabia.

This concern about Muslim schools is worldwide as advances in technology allow Saudi Arabia to export their values and standards to children in Muslim schools everywhere.

Since my two friends have alread placed their views above^ I will state my own views and hope you people comprehend it.
First off, we went to the beach for a Geography project DUNDUNDUN!
Second off it was also to help OUR country ’cause we are Barbadians. Isn’t this a good deed of ours Yes it is.
Third off, Everyone has five fingers and they are all differnet. This is the reason why some where complete Hijab and some don’t.

d) The prophet was not a pedophile. Do not make a mockery of what you don’t know. That is a sin in EVERY religion. Common knowledge once again.
e)MUSLIM WOMEN CAN DRIVE! DUHHH (im plannign to getmy license next year, no one is stopping me).
f)FACT – Did you guys even know that the Government system was etablished by the muslims? Yes it was. After the prophet died there were leaders after him, one was calle Umar and he etalished te governent system for the first time. j) Beheading..chopping off your hands, severe beatings,etc. Are strict Islamic rules and these are the things that were done during our prophets time and are continued till this day to follow the tradition, there is nothing wrong in it. These things are done to teach lessons so they won’t commit the act ever again. Once in the past a father had to give his OWN son for consumng alcohol (but he was unaware he had drank alcohol tho) a number of lashses which resulted in his death.
k) If you didn’t know, then I will tell you that in the times before many people had accepted Islam because of our prophet’s sublime character not by the way of the sword. If only the Christans from before had listened to the prophet, then all of this confusion (this as an example) would not be happening. What a wonderful world this would be..

Who are the enemies of America and what does the government plan to do with them?

There is a piece of logic that, like a double-edged sword, cuts the same way in both directions. It says that "anyone who is not on my side must be against me". The importance of this logic is trivial when used in a social context but when the Federal government says the same thing it takes on a horrendous implication. When the all-mighty Federal government declares that it must prepare for situations to deal with enemies of America it takes on a completely different meaning after you read who and what they have already defined it considers those enemies to be. Us! Those same radical domestic terrorists who drive around with Pro-Life, 2nd Amendment or third party bumper stickers on their cars and those military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who hold a grudge against our country for sending them into battle with unloaded weapons.

Following the Islamic motivated attacks on America on 9-11-2001 Congress hastily passed The Patriot Act. Then they created the Department of Homeland Security. Then Homeland Security issued two revealing documents that identified the targets of their concerns about domestic terrorists. (U//FOUO) Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment and (U//FOUO) Domestic Extremism Lexicon. Then, in 2009, Democrat leftist Rep. Alcee L. Hastings from Florida introduced H.R. 645, which was described by the very knowledgeable columnist Jerome R. Corsi, in a WorldNet Daily News story: Bill creates detention camps in U.S. for 'emergencies' Sweeping, undefined purpose raises worries about military police state posted on February 01, 2009, as "calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations." "The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany."

Waiting a few years till the ripples of discontent had subsided and citizens memories faded we then have in the last few days another bill, S.1867 which has just passed in the Senate. The National Defense Authorization Act bill contains the following section. SEC. 1031. AFFIRMATION OF AUTHORITY OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES TO DETAIN COVERED PERSONS PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF MILITARY FORCE. None other than the ACLU has described this as: "The worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial provision is in S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill, which will be on the Senate floor on Monday. The bill was drafted in secret by Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) and passed in a closed-door committee meeting, without even a single hearing."

Do a Google search on "concentration camps in America" and you will find thousands of stories, mostly written by, for want of another word, flakey extremists, sometimes known as the "truthers", the kind that also blame the U.S. government for the destruction of the World Trade Center towers. The kind of stories that no rational person would believe. But in light of all of the above, these stories now take on a more credible meaning. So put aside your disbelief in the "truthers" and give some thought to stories like: Massive Concentration Camps are already operational within the U.S. Now remember, if you are not on the side of Barack Hussein Obama then you must be against him. That makes you and me an enemy of his version of America.

Two updates to the BAE thermal imaging sniper scopes being sold to Pakistan story.

The first update below is a more detailed story than what I wrote about yesterday, comes from Wired.com concerning a lawsuit that former Marine Sgt. and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer filed against his previous employer, BAE Systems. After Sgt. Meyer complained about BAE Systems, selling, with approval from Obama's Defense Dept., state-of-the-art thermal imaging sniper scopes to the government of Pakistan while our troops were being issued outdated equipment, his former employer blacklisted his employment record. The second story is from CNSNews.com detailing the increased number of U.S. troops killed along the Afghan-Pakistan border during the three years Barack Hussein Obama has been in the White House. This makes for a very interesting coincidence or maybe it isn't.

Hero Marine Sues Defense Giant After Sniper Scope Fight

Marine Sgt. Dakota Meyer is perhaps this country’s best-recognized war hero, a man who risked his life over and over again to save his buddies from a Taliban ambush. That’s why he’s the only living Marine to be awarded the Medal of Honor — the nation’s highest award for valor — for his actions in Afghanistan or Iraq. It’s undoubtedly one reason why the defense giant BAE Systems hired Meyer after he left the Corps.

Then, BAE considered selling high-tech sniper rifle scopes to the Pakistani military. Meyer objected, given Islamabad’s um, unambiguous relationship with the terrorists and militants based in Pakistan. Then he quit. Suddenly, Meyer’s former bosses at BAE started calling the war hero “mentally unstable” and a drunk.

That’s according to a lawsuit Meyer filed against BAE, which alleges that the defense behemoth blocked the retired Marine from getting a job with a competitor by slandering his character.

Things started to unravel earlier this year, BAE sought to sell advanced thermal optic scopes to the Pakistanis for their sniper rifles. That’s 100 percent legal, thanks to the U.S. government’s decade-long decision to sell the Pakistanis billions of dollars’ worth of military gear, in the hope of cementing Islamabad’s commitment to fighting terrorism. But BAE employee Meyer questioned whether the sale was responsible.

“We are taking the best gear, the best technology on the market to date and giving it to guys known to stab us in the back,” Meyer wrote to his supervisor, according to the Wall Street Journal‘s Julian Barnes, who obtained Meyer’s lawsuit.

1,089 Americans--71% of All U.S. Combat Deaths in Afghanistan--Have Been Killed Along Pakistan Border

(CNSNews.com) – Over more than ten years of fighting in Afghanistan, 71 percent of U.S. military combat deaths in that country have taken place in provinces bordering Pakistan.

CNSNews.com’s detailed database of U.S. casulaties in the Afghan war indicates that as of Nov. 30, a total of 1,527 U.S. troops have died while engaged in combat in Afghanistan--1,089 of them in 10 Afghan provinces that border Pakistan. The other 438 U.S. combat deaths happened elsewhere in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has a total of 34 provinces.

Including non-combat deaths, the total U.S. casualty count in Afghanistan’s border provinces was 1,168 as of Nov. 30. (That number may be larger, since the locations of 68 fatalities were not reported by the U.S. government, which is the primary source for CNSNews.com’s casualty count.)

Since President Obama took office on January 20, 2009, there have been at least 1,172 U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan. That means that about 67 percent of the total of 1,741 U.S. casualties in the ten-year-long Afghan war have occurred on Obama’s watch.

U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan have more than tripled under the current administration, climbing to the current total of 1,741 from a total of 569 when President George W. Bush left office on Jan. 20, 2009.

Obama's DOD authorized superior thermal imaging sniper scopes for sale to Pakistan while U.S. troops get supplied with outdated weapons.

The facts behind the title of this post apparently haven't made the front page news but they were revealed in a lawsuit filed by none other that former Marine and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Dakota Meyer from Green County, Kentucky. It seems that Dakota Meyer took a job with B.A.E. Systems, a high tech military manufacturer, after leaving the Marine Corps. Meyer discovered that his employer had been authorized by the Defense Dept. to sell a state-of-the art thermal imaging sniper scope manufactured by B.A.E. Systems to the Islamic government of Pakistan while at the same time our troops in Afghanistan were being supplied with outdated equipment. Meyer sent emails to his employer complaining of this and was fired from his job. He then applied for a job with another company and was told he was unacceptable because his previous employer, B.A.E. Systems, had labeled him as having a drinking problem.

Late last summer we mentioned that BAE Systems had acquired OASYS (OPTICAL ASSEMBLIES AND SYSTEMS) Technology. What we didn’t do is tell you the nuts and bolts of what OASYS actually does. They specialize in Electro-Optics and just happen to make, what are in our opinion, the hottest IR systems out there. In fact, you may already be using an OASYS product and not even realize it. The grandmother of Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, who has filed suit against a former employer over claims that he is mentally unstable and a problem drinker, came to the defense of her hero grandson on Wednesday, telling FoxNews.com that, "I've never, ever known him to be a drinker."

Meyer, a 23-year-old Marine Corps sergeant who received the nation's highest honor from President Obama in a White House ceremony in September -- two years after his heroism was credited for saving 36 lives during a six-hour ambush in Afghanistan -- filed legal papers in Texas on Monday.

His lawsuit claims that defense contractor BAE Systems retaliated against him for objecting to the company's sale of high-tech sniper scopes to the Pakistani military. Meyer claims a manager at the British company said he was "mentally unstable" and had a "problem related to drinking in a social setting," according to the lawsuit.

Meyer wrote that it was "disturbing" how U.S. troops were being issued outdated equipment when better, advanced thermal optic scopes were being offered to Pakistan.

... BAE Systems spokesman Brian Roehrkasse, said the State Department -- not BAE -- makes the decision on which defense-related products can be exported, including those to Pakistan.
It is bad enough to read that the one-time Muslim Barack Hussein Obama has changed the Rules of Engagement issued to our troops so that they must not carry a live round chambered in their weapons while on patrol or can they return fire coming from the enemy when they are being fired on from schools, hospitals or civilian dwellings. The Department of Justice announced on Monday that it had seized 150 web sites that were selling counterfeit merchandise. Just as Cyber Monday was about to begin the Feds grabbed some publicity showing how much they were protecting consumers. What was not covered in the press was that another sinister force in America, CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, was using its influence to shut down other web sites that voiced opposition to Islamic jihad in America. And, in spite of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that Free Speech is more important than hurt feelings when they affirmed the right of the Westboro Baptist Church to carry signs saying "Thank God For Dead Soldiers" at military funerals, Congress has allowed the FCC to assume control over the Internet under the so-called Fairness Doctrine. Now, conservative opposition to Democratic Party Socialism is being silenced. Next up will be the conservative talk radio stations. Then that list of potential terrorists in America that were labeled by Homeland Security, you know, those people with the Pro-Life and 2nd Amendment bumper stickers and those military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan will begin facing increased scrutiny. And don't forget, Barack Hussein Obama's reelection campaign Organizing For America web site has a section where his supporters can report any anti-Obama web sites. That has suddenly become a badge of honor to have your site listed there.

While Americans were giving thanks for what little we have left, our politicians were cooking up a doozy of a surprise for us just in time for the holidays. And who can you thank for this poisonous present? Well, none other than Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) – a Progressive on the Left and a Progressive on the Right. Now that’s bipartisanship to die for, literally.

And American citizens and people picked up on American or Canadian or British streets being sent to military prisons indefinitely without even being charged with a crime. Really? Does anyone think this is a good idea? And why now?
If that doesn’t make your blood run stone cold, I don’t know what will. I looked at the bill and it looks to me as if it is referring more to the Department of Justice and Homeland Security than the military, but hey, either way, it’s a crap sandwich for Constitutional Conservatives like me and all other patriotic Americans. I can’t stand the ACLU, but this time they are right and people better pay attention. If I’m wrong about the military angle on this, then our boys and girls will be forced to turn on Americans or be ‘disciplined.’ That could be a life and death decision for them. Pray for our troops – I know in my heart they will not turn on their family and friends. They would be forced into a blatant violation of the Posse Comitatus Act and that would be the final straw to break in the birth pains of a civil war.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of elitists telling us we are overreacting, while legislation is being crafted and debated in secret, while we lose more and more of our freedoms with each passing day. All of us should be royally pissed off. You don’t actually think these asshat politicians have our best interests and security in mind do you? Damned right they don’t. They want to control us, enslave us, shut us up and close us down. I know that I won’t go down without a fight, what say you?

If they pass this monstrosity, they can come to your home in the dead of night and take you with no due process and you will simply disappear. They will never give the reason – the fact they consider you an enemy of the State will be all it takes. That’s not America. That’s a fascist totalitarian State and I’ve got news for America – it will happen if the Progressives stay in power. Many, many will disappear and many more will die.

The vote on this either happened today or will take place tomorrow. Remember who voted and how. I know Udall out of Utah was presenting an amendment that would neutralize a lot of this, but I don’t hold a lot of optimism that he will prevail.

Obama crony "Tony" Rezko sentenced to 10 1/2 years in Chicago corruption scandal. Will a presidential Christmas pardon soon be in the works?

The Chicago Sun newspaper reported 3 days ago that Barack Hussein Obama's Chicago crony, Anthony "Tony" Rezko, was sentenced to 10 1/2 years in Federal prison for his corrupt kickback schemes that involved equally corrupt and likewise convicted former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. Of course we all know that Chicago has one of the most corrupt political systems in the country and was the starting ground for community organizer and Harvard professor Barack Hussein Obama. Now I'll wager that Rezko won't get to spend much of that prison sentence behind bars. Obama will likely include him in his annual list of Christmas pardons.

But the onetime top fund-raiser to Rod Blagojevich and former friend of Barack Obama remained steady even as St. Eve handed down a 10 ½ year sentence for corruption, describing Rezko’s actions during the former governor’s tenure as “selfish and corrupt.”

But the National Tea Party group has a bit more information about this story that the Chicago newspapers didn't feel inclined to remind us. The following comes from an email I received from them today.

If the name "Rezko" sounds familiar, it should. That's because Mr. Rezko, a notorious Chicago slumlord, helped a little-known Chicago-area State Senator (who incidentally had just published a book) get a sweetheart deal on a house in Chicago's ritzy Hyde Park (unofficial slogan: "Home of the One-Percenters!"). (Story here):

The (then) junior senator from Illinois has been answering questions on Rezko's involvement in the house purchase since news of it broke in 2006. In the 2005 deal, Obama purchased a house for $300,000 less than its owners were asking, and Rezko simultaneously bought the adjacent lot from the same seller at full price. Obama denies there was anything unusual about the price disparity. He says the price on the house was dropped because it had been on the market for some time but that the price for the adjacent land remained high because there was another offer.

Obama called it "bone-headed" to have engaged in financial dealings with the wealthy Chicago political operative, particularly as federal agents were reported to have been investigating Rezko for alleged corruption. He has also said he was "confident that everything was handled ethically and above board."

The new revelations appear to indicate Obama had involved Rezko at an earlier stage of his home buying process than was previously known, and left many wondering why he had not shared the information sooner.

Perhaps we are being a tad unfair to Mr. Rezko as it's not as if he's Mr. Obama's only questionable friend. The exclusive "Friend of Barrack's" club includes terrorist (and ghostwriter) Bill Ayers, rabid anti-Semite and racist Louis Farrakhan, anti-American Communist "poet" Frank Marshall Davis, radical professor and Palestinian apologist Rashid Khalidi, radical Chicago priest Michael Pfleger, Sacramento Mayor (and former NBA star) Kevin Johnson (who embezzled $800,000 from AmeriCorps) and many more.

There is an Aesop's fable which taught us, "you are known by the company you keep" and Mr. Obama's friends speak volumes about the kind of man that he is.

Yeah, and there is another fable about 'birds of a feather who flock together'. And no one wants one of those birds to start singing so there is some incentive to release him from the 'bird cage'.

Hey, Tony, I realize this is just an after thought but you realize you will have to stay in prison for at least another year before you can hope to get a pardon. This Thanksgiving the Pilgrims are turning over in their graves.

America was founded by Christians. There is no argument about this because the first settlers to arrive here were the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower. The first Thanksgiving was a peaceful celebration that brought together the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. We have since become a melting pot that has attracted the cultures and religions of every country in the world because we place such a high value on freedom and liberty. But one culture that masquerades as a religion, that refuses to blend in with what every other American takes for granted and who strive to impose their own Islamic Sharia Law upon all of us, are the followers of Islam, many of whom continue to wage war on our way of life. Thankfully, for the rest of us, that culture is still a very small minority.

But this year on Thanksgiving something strange has entered our lives. Our dominant culture that is based upon our Judeo-Christian principles is being hijacked by that small minority of pagan worshipers. Our Thanksgiving turkeys from one company are being processed according to Islamic law. They are being slaughtered according to Islamic Halal standards which include blessing them in the name of Allah. The U.S. Department of Agriculture web site defines this practice in these words:
Halal is an Islamic religious term used to describe food that is “lawful” to eat. It is similar to Kosher in the Jewish religion in many ways. Many slaughterhouses in the United States already meet the standards set by the American Muslim community for Halal status. The USDA has had a policy on Halal labeling in effect since 1996. Halal requirements are not difficult to meet, and the USDA believes that any American slaughterhouse should be able to comply with the new Halal policy. The general requirements for Halal slaughter state that the animal must be humanely treated en route to and at the slaughterhouse. The throat must be slit in a certain way, while the word “Allah” (God) is said. The blood must be drained from the body. It is vital that the sheep carcass does not come in contact with pork, or anything that has ever touched pork, at the slaughterhouse.
So if you want your food to be blessed and sacrificed to a pagan moon god before you eat it then make sure you buy a Butterball turkey this Thanksgiving even if you don't understand why it is necessary to pander to 0.06% of our population. And last night when this was reported on the news, a representative from Butterball simply said their turkeys are slaughtered according to USDA standards. As the satirical Australian web site, Winds of Jihad reported today:

Muslims constitute such a tiny percentage (0.6%) that staging Islamic rituals at a turkey processing plant could only be done for sociopolitical reasons: that is, to advance sharia, dhimmitude, and Islamization out of sheer moonbattery.

If you are curious about the turkey you bought for Thanksgiving and want to know if it was slaughtered according to the Islamic Halal procedure you need to check the package label for a Halal logo. There are dozens of different logos that all certify that the turkey was blessed with an invocation to Allah when it was killed. And maybe this answers my question about why this convert to Islam (or any other convert to this phony religion of peace) suddenly became a radical hater of America. Muhammad Yusuf's mother, Carmen Sosa, says he began changing when he converted to Islam and started reading the Qur'an. Her account here contradicts that of the unnamed New York authorities who said that he wasn't very religious, and was a drinker and marijuana user. I wonder who knows him better: his mother, or some politically correct, compromised cop inside a willfully blind NYPD?

“He prayed and went to the mosque,” she said.

The bad news from our nation’s capitol is that the Debt Super Committee, a group of lawmakers that was assembled without any constitutional authority, has been unable to reach an agreement on reducing the national debt. Consider that this committee was comprised of 6 Republicans and 6 Democrats, all voting along party lines, it could reasonably be anticipated that it was never designed to work. But that is not the worst part of the present situation. The Super Committee was working under a very real threat that if it failed to agree on a solution an automatic trigger would cause budget cuts to take place to reduce 1.2 Trillion dollars from the 2013 budget. That 1.2 Trillion dollar budget cut would be spread across every Federal department equally based upon the total dollar amount of their budgets. That means that vital services such as the Defense Department, Social Security and Medicare would be reduced by an equal percentage alongside non-vital services such as the Departments of Education, Energy and Interior. At a time when America is involved in two wars and faces daily threats from terrorist activity and also, until the Supreme Court decides against the Obama socialized medicine law, an additional 500 million dollar reduction in Medicare for the elderly, we cannot afford to cut an anticipated $450 Billion from national defense.

If the government was serious in reducing spending they would eliminate all non-essential departments that do not produce vital services. The Departments of Education, Energy and Interior do not provide any vital services, they are all bloated with high-salaried bureaucrats. Does anyone really know what benefit the Dept. of Education provides to our nation’s school system aside from making our education system one of the worst in the world? Instead of cutting waste in government, Obama arranged for huge bailouts and loans to companies that were friendly supporters of the Democratic Party. Obama took control of General Motors and turned a third of the company’s assets over to the United Auto Workers union which had helped him get elected. Obama bailed out Chrysler Group LLC, the giant auto maker and ordered 700 plus dealerships closed. Guess which one’s? The dealerships that were shut down were owned by a majority of Republicans in cities where they were in competition with other dealerships owned by Democrats that were unaffected. In the first two years since his election in 2008, when the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, they virtual raped and pillaged the U.S. Treasury as if they were a conquering hoard and they borrowed heavily from China to give the money to their own supporters.

If any rational person were to propose a drastic cut in national defense in these times of need they would immediately fall under suspicion of doing something unpatriotic. But by tying those defense cuts to the agreements of an unconstitutional committee that was designed to fail we are now facing a grave potential danger to our national security.

Barack Hussein Obama has never been a friend or ally of our military. He instituted stupefying changes in the soldiers Rules of Engagement that placed every member of our Armed Forces at risk on the battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rules such as not being allowed to have a live round chambered in readiness while on patrol, or not being allowed to fire on the enemy until they shoot first or not being allowed to fire back if the enemy is using a school or hospital or civilian dwelling for cover as they often did.

Barach Hussein Obama has never been a friend or ally of the United States of America, either. He bowed before the Muslim king of Saudi Arabia and stifled our own domestic oil production making us more dependent on oil from the Middle-East. He supplicated himself before the communist dictators of China and through the interest on their loans helped boost China's military development.
Raised as a Muslim in Indonesia, adopted by a Muslim step-father and a mother who associated with communists and leftists. Obama can truly be called the man who never was because his past documentation is hidden from public scrutiny and questionable documents such as a forged birth certificate follow him everywhere. His own so-called autobiography appears to have been written by a left-wing radical from the Weather Underground named Bill Ayers who admitted to bombing the Pentagon and killing policemen in the 1970’s. He spent 20 years attending church services at a grossly anti-American church listening to sermons by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright who constantly condemned America for every problem in the world.
He has added two leftist Justices to the Supreme Court and considering the age of some of the remaining Justices, if Obama has another four years in the White House he will surely replace a few more of them with his left-wing cronies that will strip away the remaining rights and liberty all Americans enjoy today. By that time, disarming our military would be the least of our problems because he would certainly nullify our right to bear arms.

Fox News didn't mention it, the New York Daily News didn't say it and neither did the New York Times or the Associated Press. Only one news source covered the whole story about the latest arrest in New York City of an alleged Islamic terrorist and that was ABC World News. On their broadcast last night, weekend anchor David Muir opened the story about the man arrested by the New York City police by saying: Jose Pimentel, a recent convert to Islam, was arrested for allegedly making bombs in New York City. And on their web site, ABC World News carries the story today:
Alleged 'Lone Wolf' Arrested in New York on Terror Charges
A Muslim convert arrested for allegedly making bombs in New York City was inspired by radical cleric Anwar Awlaki and was allegedly plotting to attack U.S. servicemen and police officers, according to officials.

A five-count criminal complaint against Jose Pimentel of Washington Heights says that Pimentel planned "to build a bomb and use a bomb to assassinate U.S. servicemen and women returning from active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan."

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg said during a press conference this evening that Pimentel, an unemployed loner who lives with his mother, also wanted to kill police officers, and called him a "27-year-old al Qaeda sympathizer."

Also noteworthy is the fact that the New York City Police Commissioner said that his department did not coordinate their actions with the Federal government about this investigation. Even the mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, who has had so much praise for Muslims and the Ground Zero mosque project, couldn't bring himself to admit that this bomb maker, like so many others before him, was another Muslim inspired by the teachings of Islam to hate America. Some critics say that the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security is too concerned with Right Wing terrorists such as Armed Forces veterans, Pro-Life groups and NRA members (see (U//FOUO) Rightwing Extremism: Current. Economic and Political Climate Fueling. Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.) and couldn't spot a Muslim terrorist unless he left his camel in an airport parking lot. So its encouraging to read about the great work being done by the NYPD.

It was widely reported that the New York City Police Department has already developed an extensive intelligence division with the help of the CIA that has infiltrated mosques and other Muslim groups. The NYPD has a published a 90-page report NYPD Radicalization in the West: The Homegrown Threat available online that describes their purpose and rationale. Fox News did report more on why the New York City police department acted alone on this arrest.
The New York Police Department's Intelligence Division was involved in the arrest. Kelly said Pimentel spent most of his years in Manhattan and lived about five years in Schenectady. He said police in Albany tipped New York City police off to Pimentel's activities.

Asked why federal authorities were not involved in the case, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said there was communication with them but his office felt that given the timeline "it was appropriate to proceed under state charges."

About 1,000 of the city's roughly 35,000 officers are assigned each day to counterterrorism operations. The NYPD also sends officers overseas to report on how other cities deal with terrorism. Through federal grants and city funding, the NYPD has spent millions of dollars on technology to outfit the department with the latest tools -- from portable radiation detectors to the network of hundreds of cameras that can track suspicious activity.

Considering the fact that the Department of Defense, the FBI and the Justice Department have all purged any mention of Islam from their training manuals in connection with terrorism, it is perfectly understandable why the NYPD chooses to act alone to combat this very real threat. One can only wonder why there are so many people who convert to Islam see a reason afterward to try and kill Americans. New York City alone has stopped 13 terrorist plots just since 9-11-2001. Not a single one involved any religion other than Islam.
